Yes I agree that its astonishing that electrical interior rear view mirror with memory.
I am 1.85m tall my wife 1.60m so in my previous cars I was obliged to adjust everything after my wife driving.
With the phaeton as the car keep the settings separetly in both key's, when my wife use her key the screen shows her name and profile, so the car adjust all automstically for her, the profile procedure start as soon as she open the car door.
When I take it after with my key, my profile appears and all settings adust automatically, it include the 18 positions seat front seats, both exterior mirrors, interior mirror rear view, the high position of the seat belts, the sterring will column, radio seatings ( I like the sound with more bass) the song where it was when I last left the car or radio station, air- co front and behind settings,
And I am probably forgetting some more.
My car is now 205000km and it never had a litle problem beside a xenon light, its a hard job to replace it 2 hours work x2 mecanics in VW garage , they are obliged to remove all the front to access the light 450 euros one lamp with work, so total. So still nothing compare to the pleasure it gives me. Really a reliable car no doubts.

well my b6 passat with 12way power seats and 3 memory buttons does something similar, just not to such extent, and it's the first time i hear that even interior mirror has memory :) - mine saves the position of external mirrors and seat adjustment, language and some dash/multimedia settings if you save one of the memory positions to the keyfob (some sequence of button pushing on the keyfob and seat memory panel does the trick) but there are no visible profiles in the dash to select, i hope i will get to buy a 2nd hand phaeton one day... love these cars.

I have a video showing that directional xenon how it looks like on the street its under pheaton directional xenon i think.
Also if you drive bellow 40kmh there is an halogène light that comes up to give light to the angle.
May i ask whats the difference between normal bi-xenon and those xenon headlamps in 2 bulbs which are in older phaetons?

I just swapped xenon lights on bixenon on for some reason beams doesn't work properly can u give me advice is there different fuse from bixenon ?

Dominik in 2008 phaeton had a facelift so they integrated new xenon lights and the difference are. The new xenon lights are directional means if you drive over 40kmh and you turn left or right the xenon lights turns also giving you a nice visibility, also there is LEDs for daylight integrated.

Hi del toro, i would like to purchase a VW Phaeton 3.0 TDi V6, can you tell me if these car give engine problems and what sort of ? Considering the car is from 2006. I read that these Phaeton 3.0 TDi, is a very solid build car and the only problems they have is the turbine.. is true ?
The v6 engines and drive trains are very robust (Audi A8 engines). The Phaeton has a good ranking breakdown statistics. Problems bring the wishbones (heavy car) and those many gadgets. I do have on of 2006. Unfortunately had to refurbish the gear box, but this is not a common problem I think.

thx i was asking because i wanted to know if facelifted phaeton has those xenons with shield which allow you to go with high beam even if theres a car infront of you because the shield is blocking light that could dazzle the car. I know directional bi-xenon coz i drove a passat with them but still gonna check your channel
At least this feature could be ordered I think.

How well does this do in the snow and does it have a parking heater? also does the how does the v6 sound compared to the jaguar 2.7v6 tdvi if you have experienced it?
very wrong. My S-type sounded lovely going through 2000 revs and i got 43/45 mpg regularly cruising at 65, ride quality was grand, soaking up the bumps whilst still being fun when in the mood. In pearlecent silver with the Triton alloys the car looked stunning. plenty of space for snowboards, skis, cash and carry and the sort too. seats were very comfy, EPB was handy and well placed arm rest and cup holders. That is the bench mark. while the vw has more equipment, the looks let it down a little bit imo. 4x4 would be nice for trips to the alps tho
i though build quality on the face lift one was good, the aluminium trimmed interior was contemporary, nothing rattled in it, ive only driven a vw Tuareg for a few days, not sure how it compares but is was nice, if not a little slow, although the C and E class are plasticy, the CLS is well trimmed with a leather dash and the like as is the XF
now is probs the time, the prices fall a tad at Christmas because people are spent out.
Runs great on snow with thanks to the 4motion. I have never sees one without since they offered it only within the first year with front-wheel drive. You won't have problems getting up any mountains but getting down is hard since it is very heavy and pushes down the road.

This one doesn't, but it was possible to get the comfort seats (18-way, heating, cooling, massage, etc) for the fond as well.
No the rear seat is fixed and cannot be moved.

Kauf kann sich den jeder ich habe 3,0 tdi 2006 unterhalt ist teuer ne inspektion bisst du locker 800 bis 1000 euro los bremsen wechseln lass mich lügen habe für meine 1500 bez getriebe öl 700 euro musst schon gut verdienen um den zu unterhalten:)

I had this phaeton for over 4 years i have now a CLS as they do not build pheaton anymore
Concerning your coments, you really don't knwo anything about pheatons and i don't know why you come here saying such a horrible thing
It's not a passat just in case.
If you are soo good as you pretend you know that the facelift end of 2007 change a few things in the car, one of them, the front lights, with LED, in some modifications in diesel engines and some other parts, in 2009 they change the GPS inside by a newer model and in 2010 they did a new facelift changing the front and rear

Das ist kein Auto von 2008...das Auto ist viel älter!! Ein VW Phaeton von 2008 hätte bei der Höhen- und Kuftfederungseinstellung eine anders Bild bzw. Animation und beim Display die Seitenschalter da würde dann etwas draufstehen
Das ist ein GP2 mit 232 Ps von 2007-2008 das siehst du am Lenkrad/Rückleuchten/Zierleisten vorne Chrom bei den Nebelscheinwerfern.
