Mine is pretty upgraded too - actually built it up from the brushed version over time. With the big bore shocks stiff at the back (tying into an Integy rear tower) it really does get up fast. I can also recommend the rear drive shafts upgrade. One day I’ll widen it. I own a few cars but this really remains a favourite for some reason.
The links in the front are wrong. You need longer different ones because of the longer arms. RPM mentions the part numbers when buying it. Also your rear tires are backwards. They are directional tires.
When first bought new running 3s with wheeliebar upgraded wheels it was sic fun. Driveshafts kept popping out or breaking under fast throttle/braking, swing arms broke alot and shocks breaking alot also. Now I have aluminium shock towers with oversized Proline aluminium shocks, widened rpm swing arms with thick steel Driveshafts, bunch of other things upgraded to aluminium after breaking often. Fitted with oversized 1/8scale Proline Badlands wheels&tyres. Running slash front&rear bumpers over the top of original, no wheeliebar. It is ridiculous the amount of power and speed you get over small original tyre's, atleast double if not more. Wheels also take alot of impacts so car sounds like ball bouncing in big crashes. Avagud1 mate
Killer video bro I'm currently upgrading my rustler I recently added a new motor for more speed I'm adding a new drive shaft for speed also getting metal shocks & shock towers I also added a badd ass light kit for nite bashin keep up the amazing work bro keep it bashin....👊🤘
Nice Ruster, converted mine into a Brandit and really enjoy the slow wheelies I can make it do. I see this all the time. Tires on backwards. The lines in the tires are designed to move material to the outsides of the tire while in forward motion. Mounting direction is important. Also it's often your drive shafts that keep you saggy. Clean the axle portals and they should bind less.
nice! i think it’s supposed to sit low like that, mine does too, i would think it being lower gives you low center gravity, which is what you would want, better turns, it’s mainly a stadium car. great job though looks nice
Mine sits the same let me clue ya it really flies I've already made 2 trips to the hobby shop for repairs lol lol also my rustler has a killer light kit on it great vid bro 👊
Bro the alignment's easy as long as you have the turnbuckles and Camber links facing the proper directions, pretty nice setup though I got a two-wheel drive VXL that I've put a lot of money into myself
If you get the GTR shocks for the rear of that and get the blue code color springs those are the stiffest ones they have it helps with keeping the arms pushed down so that it doesn't sag in the rear
i love these iv had 2 and tjey rock i beat the crap oits most vars with mine highly recomended along with the stsmpede my syampede at the skate park jumps u6 to 8 feet and lands on ita wheels every time nobody rides or skates wen its shredding it definatly i recommend it
nice car I like the black body those wide a arms make the difference don't they I put $780 including the car into a xl 5 rustler and now it rocks for tires I have dirt hawg 2s on the back and dirt hawg 1s on the front good for street and dirt but not great for both I have a cheap but good esc and motor combo I use plane landing gear tires on my wheelie bar they make it go straight up the road on the rear wheels :) have fun and dont let anyone tell ya yer to old ...I am 54 and still playing
You can upgrade your bell crank to the slash 4x4 servo saver bell crank look at the drag slash it comes with it, otherwise great way to make your RC alot more stronger, bye bye servo saver horn!
I had the same issue with the RPM A arms jamming up so I got the Big Bore Shock set with progressive springs and shaved a bit of plastic off the A arms (which I don't recommend due to wobble)
G'day chief. There's a lot of lip smacking sounds when you talk maybe try talking next time a bit further away from the mic. It makes it hard to watch your video and it looks like you have a sweet car there. All The best.
heh getting that alignment done was a drag i did that to my xl5 version. nice rustler man! do you break the stock axels in the rear very often? im gonna upgrade to brushless soon. i already did bearings all around an that was an awesome upgrade.
I keep watching video after video of everyone upgrading their Rustlers but when I play with mine I just can't imagine doing anything but regular maintenance in stock form.
Upgraded everything except the important things 😂. Gotta ditch that VXL system and put in a real motor. JK. But I got the castle copperhead in mine and it’s so much better than the VXL system
thats the most expensive part :( i wish. maybe soon. I just rather buy more RC'S ;/ And tbh its already too fast for me..... Keep an eye out.. im going to hobby shop tomorrow so maybe.....

Just wanted to say that your rear wheels are the wrong way around… the pattern on the tires should be pointing forward just like your front wheels
This man deserves a lot more subs. Awesome video

Tighten your shocks mayne!

Mine sags in the rear as well. Ordered 80wt shock oil to help with the issue
What a machine !
Good video man

You want to make it up that hill with ease throw the hoss tires on the back those things dig in really good
Lmao 🤣 the way you touch that car has your girl fuming haha
Front bulk head? Tie bar? Why not the traxxas heavy duty shafts? I twist the stock ones under 10% throttle
i broke mine within 3 mins of barely ripping, 3s velinion brushless. had to buy upgraded axles instantly lol
False this rc car is NOT fully upgraded .
Can u put a link to that body if u have one, thanks
And to the wheels that are on it
Do you have a list of everything you added/ replaced?
Bro where did you say you upgraded everything except for my ESC and speed controller those are the same things😂😂😂
Ahahah 🤦♂️
@@MPRC705 lol it’s cool we’re all human everybody makes mistakes
i love these iv had 2 and tjey rock i beat the crap oits most vars with mine highly recomended along with the stsmpede my syampede at the skate park jumps u6 to 8 feet and lands on ita wheels every time nobody rides or skates wen its shredding it definatly i recommend it
Fix the drooping rear end 80wt oil.
Are those pro-line tires?
nice car I like the black body
those wide a arms make the difference don't they
I put $780 including the car into a xl 5 rustler and now it rocks
for tires I have dirt hawg 2s on the back and dirt hawg 1s on the front good for street and dirt but not great for both
I have a cheap but good esc and motor combo
I use plane landing gear tires on my wheelie bar they make it go straight up the road on the rear wheels :)
have fun and dont let anyone tell ya yer to old ...I am 54 and still playing
Bel video👍👍👍
Nice video, real, I would like to see your wiring, mine has been spliced into, I do not ike the stock charging plugs.
Still the Traxxas connector

What battery are you using for that??

Is it possible to get a link of where you got your parts? I’m learning how to upgrade parts
heh getting that alignment done was a drag i did that to my xl5 version. nice rustler man! do you break the stock axels in the rear very often? im gonna upgrade to brushless soon. i already did bearings all around an that was an awesome upgrade.
I have basically the same setup, the stock axles break under heavy use pretty easy
Are those upgrades?
I had the Hawk....with a Novak speed controller
I keep watching video after video of everyone upgrading their Rustlers but when I play with mine I just can't imagine doing anything but regular maintenance in stock form.
I feel the same yet I built a $1000 rustler for a shelf queen lol… really it’s all about the build and bashing to see what lasts long
You need VG Racing springs bro they have so much more response and bounce up get the progressive rate Springs by vg racing
10/10
Do you have links to where you get all your parts? Thanks
Why no hobbywing system or castle
Coming soon!
What's the gearing?
I keep it stock for the most part. But i will change depending what im doing
what is the stock gearing
It's not fully upgraded u still have vxl3s bro
Fully upgraded…. Half the car is still stock lol
Rear tires r mounted backwards 😂
maybe he did that to get more traction you don't know
It not fully upgraded 😡
