It depends on where you are at as you are accepted into Orthodoxy. You should definitely ask your priest, as your spiritual father he can guide you. It certainly won't hurt, but to become stable at it, it will take time according to his spiritual guidance. Being unstable is necessary, but it's not easy. There's all kinds of things that your priest/spiritual father might want to advise you of.
