Brett, glad your camera survived the fall. I agree the South Coast of NSW has some stunning coastal scenery. It seems that it is now starting to get the deserved attention from serious photographers. I grew up there, but I had to travel the world to appreciate how good it is. The unique forests and bushland on the coast also provide wonderful photographic opportunities if you are willing to invest the time.
That’s one location I would have to pass on. Those heights would do me in. So glad your camera continued on like a trooper. You deserved a coffee after that.
What a beautiful location that was well worth the bush bashing to get to! And of course, you grabbed a bag of stunning images despite the less than ideal light 👏 I can't believe your camera survived that drop unscathed...thanks for testing its build quality for us, Brett 😅
😳 I'm so glad there were no gear fatalities Brett! Beautiful location and fabulous imagery throughout. I was there a couple of years ago, about to go out and shoot dawn when Victoria announced they were closing the border with NSW later that day so we had to hightail it out and I never got to photograph there. I'll have to return one day... this has given me the push to make it happen. Cheers buddy 🙏🙏🙏
Stunning images from you, Brett, in such an amazing area. Thanks for showing drone shots as it gave me a better idea of the area you were visiting. Re the dropped camera - Ouch! I bet you were thankful the tripod wasn't set higher. Thanks for the video as it helps my understanding of setting up so much.
great video as usual mate! Sorry to see you drop the camera, but glad to see that it was sitll functioning ok, certainly love that locations, very jealous, I would love to shoot there myself!
Great spot and great photos Brett. I think I might have to wait for the lift before I give it a go though. I can mange to drop my camera in much more accessible spots.
Nice work as always Brett, I just thought that the exposure was a bit too long on some of the shots as it made the water look like mist. A stunning location, but remember the Band-Aids.
Thanks Brett. Beautiful images. Sorry about your camera. I hope all's well. I had an incident when I slipped off algae covered rocks, my camera survived but the lens had to be taken in for repairs.
Great Images Brett and what a stunning location to visit. Quite an effort to get there but worth it as you say. Glad your Camera was ok. Photographers worst nightmare.😯. I know you had a 5d mark iv and was wondering if you are pleased with the change to the R5 and benefits you have found with this. I know you mentioned the ability for some level of long exp hand held as one.
Gary cheers for watching & commenting mate. Glad you enjoyed the video, many more coming. Yes the R5 is a significant upgrade from the mark IV mate, a considerably more capable camera in many ways.
Shot that location in 2020. I remember the climb down with two other photographers in the pitch black and only our head torches. So happy I couldn’t see where I was going, but so worth the climb down. I managed two shots that I was so proud of. When it was time to walk out I was gobsmacked to see where I had climbed down. Would never have attempted it in daylight hours. Beautiful shots Brett thanks so much for sharing the images you found. 🙂🙂
Great shots Brett! What a location! You look a bit battered and bruised - but putting in the effort brings the rewards. I sure hope your camera didn't sustain any serious damage? That's always a big fear of mine when I'm out shooting locations like this. Rocks and cameras aren't a good mix! Stay safe. Cheers mate.
Wonderful photographs, Brett, and the little clip at the end from a drone was very nice. I'm making plans to visit the area and that location is till on my list (if I can find it on Maps again) but I'm unsure if I'd risk the climb at my age: down is often relatively easy; up can be an issue, and I've no intention trying out my EPERB. I've heard tell of lenses not surviving such a fall, but I'm glad it was all okay - I guess you might not have carried a spare in your backpack. I couldn't help but think of an old Timex advert paraphrased to suit: the camera took a licking but it kept on clicking!
I live just south of Batemans Bay and would love to join u on your adventures! Is there a photographer's group? Being solo means I can't go down cliffs at night etc but that's where all the great locations are 😅 even places like Broulee Island ☺️📸
Hi Karolina, I’m at Malua Bay drop into my gallery someday. I don’t have a social photographers group, we’re often quite busy teaching workshops. Take a look at my website for all the info. Thanks for watching 🤓

A fabulous video and wonderful images, Brett. Congratulations.
Thanks for watching Rose
The old ‘locked in but not locked’ in trick with arca Swiss- glad it survived & you still obviously got some nice ‘bankers’ 👍
Cheers Russell,
Yes somehow it survived & I got a couple “bankers” 🤓🤣. Lisa always laughs at that one.
@@BrettWoodPhoto Lisa laughs at everything - that’s why she’s such good value to have around! 👍
OK, fess up! Give me small clue where that is. At least either North or South of Bermagui? What a great spot!

Beautiful pics once again Brett! My heart stopped when your camera dropped, even knowing it was coming 😮
Ha ha thanks Kerry,
Fortunately the camera is all good
I usually just walk around the rocks. Saves the climb down.
Cheers mate, I’ll keep it in mind

Thanks Gary, yeah this one’s not for the faint hearted 😬
Nice work as always Brett, I just thought that the exposure was a bit too long on some of the shots as it made the water look like mist. A stunning location, but remember the Band-Aids.
Thanks for watching mate, I’ll get back there in winter hopefully & nail some more images.
I was not looking at the screen when your camera fell, but just the sound almost gave me a heart attack 😭
Ha ha yes mate I was quite nervous but luckily all good
Thanks Brett. Beautiful images. Sorry about your camera. I hope all's well. I had an incident when I slipped off algae covered rocks, my camera survived but the lens had to be taken in for repairs.

Can’t believe you were so calm when your R5 was bouncing 🤣 absolutely gorgeous spot and stunning images as always
Brett said I can't wait to get back to the caravan Lisa makes me the best coffee
I was still in shock kid 🤓
I would have had expletives flying all over the place.

Gday Alan, thanks for watching mate. Thankfully the camera & me are fine, it was all part of the adventure. Tune in next week for another video
Thanks and enjoy a coffee after that effort.
Thankyou Chris much appreciated ❤
Such lovely images dropped my camera in the sea on Flinders island needless to say it never worked again
Thanks a lot Debra.
Oh no !!!
I have also drowned a canon 5DIV once before.
Amazing images, worthy effort, sorry to see your camera dropped, I would panicked 😂 Take care mate!

I was expecting a rogue wave in spectacular fashion to be why you dropped your camera… not that 😂
Ha ha yeah I was just clumsy I think Tari
Awesome images love the spot ❤️
Thanks Ali, nice to hear from you 🤓
Terrific video Brett and I do feel bad for not taking a safety rope but it was a bonus not getting a tick on the way out through the bush 👍
Thanks Pete,
Really enjoyable morning out 🤓🤓🤓
It didn’t bounce!🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️Great images again mate!🍻
Steve cheers mate 🤓 well it kinda bounced 😬
Brett, another outstanding video, the images were sensational. I liked the 1st and last best
Thanks mate appreciate your viewership & good feedback on the photos. Always like to hear what everyone thinks.

@@davidmaltby2065 ha ha got them mate. Just didn’t take em on that trip

Thanks Claudia 🤓
Terrific location Brett. I'm heading over that way in May/June and hoping to get some good seascapes. Staying in Bermagui for a week.
Thanks Julie!!!
Enjoy your time on the coast, that’s a good time of year for photography
Another great video….I would not of been that calm if I dropped my camera!🥴
Thanks for watching Tracy, appreciate it . Fortunately the camera was all good. See you soon 🤓
When that camera dropped I gasped out loud and my stomach sank. Photography Nightmare material that is.
Thanks Tim,
Luckily all was good 🤓
You were calmer than I would've been dropping my camera 😆
Keith still don’t know that I did wrong but must of been half asleep when I screwed it on the ball head. No point stressing mate
Great spot and images
Colin thanks mate, good to hear from you.

@@BrettWoodPhoto thanks, will do! 😁
Not the first time I've seen a BW camera go AOT. Seems to me it happened during a squall while overlooking the 12 Apostles.
No idea who BigPol is
@@BrettWoodPhoto I shared the front seat of the bus with you during your Great Ocean Road expedition almost 2 years ago, Brett.
Wow! You dropped your camera on hard rocks and the camera continued as if nothing happened. I’m switching to Canon!
Yeah luckily no problems so far.
I'll give that location a miss Brett.
Al what if there was a nice bottle of Shiraz 🍷 at the end of the trail
@@BrettWoodPhoto I would have to get down to it first, and there's the first problem.
Awesome video and equally awesome location Brett. Glad the camera is ok.
