Gonsolin, Outman, Kendall George for Luis Robert Jr. Frees up two spaces on the 40 man, gets Robert Jr at CF, which allows Edman to move to SS full time, and puts Mookie at 2nd base full time which is best for his health/longevity. That’s the only big move that I can see that fits the dodgers perfectly. Arenado does not fit the Dodger standard, and has no fit. Braiser will also be released or traded for a lower level prospect.
Robert Jr is injury prone and has a lot of swing and miss. Maybe Pages gives you the same at a much cheaper price. If he worked on his defense over the winter, he'll a better option.

Don't forget that he is a gold-glove defensive outfielder, and the Dodgers have enough players to back him up if he misses time. He is 28 with a friendly team contract.

I don't think a star is necessary for the lineup, it's pretty complete but it doesn't hurt to have some IF depth. I would utilize some of the excess SP depth to trade for a near ready MLB 3B when teams get desperate for pitching at the deadline. There's nobody in the minors ready behind Muncy.
Friedman has stated this offseason that he hopes the Dodgers become SELLERS at the deadline. Not BUYERS anymore unless absolutely necessary because it's too expensive to operate that way as a norm. BTW, Alex Freeland appears to have the right body type and range to play third base for the Dodgers so I would argue that they do have farm alternatives. If I were the Dodgers I'd try to make a bold move with the Mariners. I'd like to see the Dodgers offer to take Luis Castillo off their hands for a large return of quality prospects (Rushing, Pages, Outman, Knack, Gonsolin, Freeland) but the Mariners have to put Julio Rodriguez in the deal.
That's a fair point about Freeland, we'll see if he gets reps at third but SS is where he'll have the most value. Castillo is showing signs of declining and his velo is going down, I wouldn't want him or his contract.

Muncy is a streaky hitter which frustrates fans. He's a 35 HR, .352 OBP guy on a cheap contract. Even if the dodgers acquire a 3B they would move him to 2B. He gets a bad rap. Yes he strikes out a lot but he has thunder in his bat and walks a lot too
I disagree that Giants fans all would love it if the organization was doing the same thing as the Dodgers are doing. We love our homegrown talent. That’s how we won. Three World Series in five years not by just buying all those free agents. As much as I like Kelly, he is NOT needed.
Kelly doesn't belong on the Dodgers anymore, they have no need for an ineffective reliever who can't throw strikes. I'm grateful for him and his wife on helping get Shohei but time to move on. Kershaw is still effective and has a place on the team.

Dodgers can afford to give up 2 prospects for a Arenado. Package Muncy and perhaps send 2M-4M shaved off contracts. I’m just not a fan of ANY baseball player getting so much play time for CONSISTENTLY batting below .230
Bergman ,Alanzo, Jack F. Have been out their for months and no one has signed them. Cheap owners. If Dodgers needed any of these players, they would sign them and people would complain.

As a Dodgers fan, I agree… Mookie should be at RF where he is best at. He has no business at SS. That is just a personal accomplishment not something that benefits the team. He was not good at it last year so why do it again?🤦🏻♀️

No harm in giving Mookie a shot at SS with a full offseason to prep instead of a week in Spring Training. Worst case scenario is if he needs to move off SS, he can go back to RF or 2B with either Edman or Kim taking over SS or bringing up Freeland from AAA.

Sasaki is on a minor league contract. He doesn’t need to be on the 40 man roster.
Of course he does if he’s going to be on the big club. If he stays in the minors he doesn’t have to be on the 40 but that’s not going to happen.

Muncy is a streaky hitter which frustrates fans. He's a 35 HR, .352 OBP guy on a cheap contract. Even if the dodgers acquire a 3B they would move him to 2B. He gets a bad rap. Yes he strikes out a lot but he has thunder in his bat and walks a lot too
I disagree that Giants fans all would love it if the organization was doing the same thing as the Dodgers are doing. We love our homegrown talent. That’s how we won. Three World Series in five years not by just buying all those free agents. I guarantee you, Giants fans would not be happy if the organization was doing at the exact same way the Dodgers are doing it. It’s not as satisfying.

Here’s what I think, Dodgers needs to acquire Arraez and Arenado. And trade for Grove, Muncy Outman and Graterol. To make this happen in a three or four way trade. Those three or four teams are Dodgers, Cardinals, Padres and maybe Astros or White Sox.
Arreaz in not a Dodgers type player. Terrible defender, no power, no walks, no speed. Dodgers want no part of him

Speaking of strikeouts, who’s mlb players right now that only strikeouts 28x for the whole season? Above all, he is 3x batting champion 3 years in a row. Putting him 5th thru 9th in the lineup, Dodgers would be scary. Even third or 9th in the lineup still solid. I’d been suggesting the team to acquire him since the last 2 season. It might not happen right now but hopefully soon.
