This show is the best show I’ve ever seen... I cried a lot, laughed a lot, smiled a lot, and felt the love. This show is exactly what ever show should do to a person... I miss this show sm 😣 it hurts.
I think my favorite thing about them is how much they subverted expectations. Lydia is at first presented to us as the stereotypical popular girl who's dating the most popular guy. The queen bee, if you will. And Stiles is the dork who has a hopeless crush on a girl who would never glance in his direction. But this is where it subverts our expectations. We expect Stiles to be the comic relief idiot and Lydia to be about as interesting as cardboard. But they're not. They're both *super* smart. Stiles has near perfect grades, he just has trouble focusing. And Lydia only pretends to be a nitwit to fit in and not be treated like an outcast. Absolutely right. The single best thing in the first season IMHO is when Stiles says those words to Lydia at the big dance, after she has been playing dumb so as not to drive away her vain boyfriend. I wish the writing in the series in general were better, and their romance were a bigger part of the story.
