Dumb Things Spiritual People Say

- So many of the things that "spiritual" people say and believe are actually not true. For example, we have all heard people say, "It's all good." But in truth, anything that is not love or God is actually NOT good...in fact it's not even real. The good news is that even though an event may be missing the Goodness of God, we can use the Free Will of our soul to extract lessons from the event in order to turn the experience into something with greater good.
What a mistake it is to think/believe that God tends to test us with hard experiences. But the truth is, all of life's tests are typically created by us--our own soul. As we align with righteous choices, we tend to pass life's tests with greater ease, followed by experiencing more miracles.

Such an important message! I was in the hospital for a stroke when the one person I needed to be there for me said very coldly that I created it. That hurt very deeply. A year later, she had a slightly worse stroke. She didn't have the miraculous recovery that I did; nor did she have any support at work (was pushed out). I was there for her - every rant and fearful "what do I do now." It meant the world to her. Maybe we create our problems, but let's not forget to show kindness and lead others out of the darkness when they need support. All I did was listen and say I understand. It costs nothing.

This video so deeply helped me get back in touch spiritually, even if this lasts a minute, i felt the pain subside. I got here because i realized that so much of the spiritual stuff I had been listening to and following was actually stupid and illogical. It started to feel "fake deep" and like a superficial cop out explanation for the intensley painful stuff in my life.
Everything felt utterly pointless and the thought of lifetime after lifetime of what felt like nothing but pain encouraged me to dump the spiritual path and peruse the shallow comforts of materialism and drugs. I got sober again only because I want to be present for my sick cat, who is either immortal or knows that I planned to off myself after she dies and this damn cat is still here TWO years after I thought she would be!!! She won't die!! (don't worry I plan to help her cross If she is in pain)don't get me wrong, I'm glad she's here,I love her dearly, but I also loved the idea of death.
Randomly I searched "why are spiritual people so dumb?" (Sorry) Because my ego wanted gratification and to feel better than spiritual/religious people so I could finally emotionally dump the hope I'd have meaning for good and that's how I found this gem. I don't want my despiration or ego to try to turn this dude into my guru(oopsie, kind of did that once before), I just want some legit answers. I want to feel like I want to be here. I have never felt that before. I don't want to come back over and over and if I die, I know I will. This identity never wants to be here again.

Great talk! "You created this" --- good when you think it for yourself, really bad when used as an excuse to hurt and justify oneself. At least, that's what I thought when a psychopath served me this crap, eventhough I kind of thought this myself. Thank you for bringing light in a very real way.

One of my favourite videos that I return to. It has both amazing humour AND the nuggets of truth that come with each 'dumb thing'. I just happened to come on today and it was set at 13:33 which is EXACTLY where I'm at on my journey right now with 'OCD'. There ARE aspects where I am overcoming it, but it is SO true that the ego kicks in again when I feel I have got to the bottom of some very deep aspects (which I have). The ego that doesn't even exist! Can be frustrating but the advice to say "I'll work on it again" is AWESOME and something that I've been doing to GREAT effect - so this is beautiful confirmation. Dear Michael, I've just recently discovered you! I love how you dismantle up all the spiritual lies / untruths!
I myself am also experiencing for a long time now how many spiritual principles, ideas and practices. Are simply taken out of context, misinterpret, early learned, oversimplified, no longer fitting, one-sided, are excerpts from partial untrue religions. Or from sources that have malicious intent!

Very good as always but you are lucky I wasn't in the room. "Is everything all good" is my line for "should I be worried"?...to my adult children.
Also if you don't get over something and let it go then it hasn't been dealt with and will continue to be hurtful. We do need to go through the emotional pain in life and then give it to God. Then we heal.

I feel like a lot if money gets made from making people believe that they have created everything in their life. Therefore if a healer makes a client believe that they created their circumstances, they can then offer " healing sessions" where they help people to change their beliefs so that they can create a different reality.

i remember an example of this topic years ago when I arrived at my first day of my reiki course & the teacher just kept talking about herself but not in relation really to the course or anything relevant (my opinion at the time), so much so I was really confused where I was, what I had gotten myself into & where the Reiki teachings were ~ it was just a little bizarre. Yes, I was obviously still in my own state of whatever ego, however it just didn't feel right & I wanted to get up & say 'sham' or something similar. I just knew in my heart this wasn't the real deal. Anyway, so I struggled for awhile & then thought ok, the best option might just be speak what I was feeling in the most sensitive way possible (who knows if I did that or not) ~ (it was just the teacher, myself & one other student in the teacher's home), otherwise I felt like I was going to just walk out.
The reaction of the Reiki Master was to tell me that I should look in the mirror at my own issues as she was a reflection of me.
Now mind you, I'd never really heard of this concept before and felt there was some truth to it but also felt that it wasn't cool that this was the way my teacher reacted & the tone she said it. I sucked it up at the time & just tried to look at myself, feel love etc etc & stayed to complete the course, however, it did taint it for me at the time, in the space I was in. So, in the spirit of the topic of 'dumb things that spiritual people say', ~ to me that was in that category & I actually felt it at the time. The bottom line is that it just wasn't helpful. I just feel that people in these positions could be more mindful of what they say sometimes. It just confused me really as I wasn't able to fully comprehend it at the time. There's just something in me that feels it was a spiritually & human irresponsible thing to say, especially without any further depth of explanation. Aaah, I hadn't actually thought about this experience for a long time. just came to me. I did actually learn something from this but that's not the point or the topic!...

Ex.. Hearing that my heart feels tender.
I imagine thats been so difficult for you.
Those phrases are much more connective and ways of responding when someone is in pain.

Very usefull. Sometimes its not easy to orient in all that spiritual stuff. That saying that you created it - it always Made me so angry because to hear it was not helping. For me its interesting to find out that I can learn the easy way. Its like I had belief that I can learn only hard way. But I am reaally tired now because its more years now what I am learning it hard ways. So many limiting beliefs... I wonder what will happen in my life when I am shifting these beliefs now. I just feel that sometime what is true doesnt have to be true other tíme.Life is very complex.

Always address a statement by asking a question; it's called confession and avoidance not giving validity to anything other than the truth of him and I.

There is a season for everything. The KEY is knowing our self, knowing our spirit AND knowing the two as one. Duality became a variety, not just an opposition. People are wherever they are at in their own understanding. As a 5th grader I might make fun of the 2nd grader because 2nd grade is old for me, but when I ponder that 5th grade includes 2nd I experience my first Love.
The only problem with this beautiful idea is that duality does not exist. God is only ONE. ~MM

D is the letter d. These 3, these seeming opponents of each other, this variety, is one. "It will be done unto you according to your belief".

I hear it all the time from family and it hurts cause they always say this to justify their religious beliefs and why we’re still poor or when my parents say this after they experience back pain.
