Ah yes the bike, one of the most useful items in Pokémon, the one item always first in line for the key item shortcut. That being said it is rather funny how lore wise people first rode Pokémon then switched to bikes and the like just to realize “Hey I have a bunch of badass pets why don’t I travel in style on them?” and go back to ridding Pokémon.

Running Shoes didn't exist until Ruby/ Sapphire. So the running shoes were not already aquired in pokemon Red/ Blue (0:58) when you get the Bicycle, because they don't exist in that game.

Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver made the bike very optional. But fir those who played pokémon know that there is a bike. But i would say that generation 4 (diamond, pearl, platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver) and generation 8 cause it replaced the TH and it's not like in generation 7, where it looked like dominating poor pokémon. P.S cool video 👌🏽💙

Not sure about the water bike thing. Its a product of Gamefreak getting rid of HMs. So not having HMs and giving its capabilitys to the bike made the bike better? I am not sure this is a good or wanted implication of the used metric for best.

dppt without a doubt, in bdsp they made it garbage, another reason why thats one of the worst pokemon games of all time. Its just so fun using the gears to reach some places in caves you only can with one of the gears. In sword and shield the bike is not bad, but the game is so bad that i dont care about the bike. Anyway amazing video. its the first video of yours i watched and i liked it.

gen 4's is the best imo, for two reasons: second best bike music *and* you can swap gears on command? gen 3's would have been much better if you didn't need to go back to the bike shop every time, especially since both bikes are REQUIRED for progression.
