Great episode, it was so awesome to see "Karoo Blessings" , the entrepreneurial potential in these small towns or villages never ceases to amaze me. The creation or the preservation of jobs is so important in these towns or villages and decentralized manufacturing should be encouraged with incentives by the powers that be. Congratulations 🎊 👏 on reaching your next milestone.
It was really amazing to see the business that had been built up from literally nothing and how many people are benefiting from this venture, which is true to their name, proving to be a blessing to so many. We're so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the good wishes, it's such a surprise to us how many people love the small towns and the gravel roads as much as we do! 🤩 So happy that you're on this journey with us.
Geniet julle travels, baie dankie. Sal wat wou gee om in Merweville nes te skop. Maar sien eiendom is maar duur daar. Ongelukkig die geval met baie oulike Karoo dorpies. Hoop dit kan eendag realiseer. Geseënde travels.
We agree with you, we could also easily settle in a small Karoo town like Merweville. 😊 Until then, we'll enjoy everything that similar small towns offer. There is just this magical attraction to the simple way of life where people still care about one another and live so incredibly close to nature. We appreciate you watching, thank you.
@@DustBugsTravel thanks for the response really appreciated. 2014 we visited and slept over at Colesberg, Victoria Wes and Loxton. 1st Time ever in Karoo and immediately fell in love. We're in Pretoria so a bit far for a regular getaway. Blessings and be safe.
We spent almost two hours with them and it was so difficult to leave. To hear how they turned hardship into hope, was really an inspiration to us. I love nougat even more now! 😍
Thanks Guys, enjoying your videos. I find watching your travels (particularly to small Karoo towns) makes me feel relaxed. How fortunate you are to be able to make these trips and thanks for sharing.
Your comment means so much to us, thank you. We somehow always return to the Karoo, most probably because we find a lot of peace there. Keep watching as we continue on in the Karoo for the remainder of this trip. 🚗
Turkish delight is my fave also. Julle het my lekker lus gemaak! I am so glad to be rid of the load shedding crap. But at least you had a gas stove and could make coffee. Without my boeretroos, I am miserable! Love the whistling kettle. My ouma was a nooi Van der Merwe. From Porterville. May the Wors be with you!
Loadshedding is at another level now, but let's rather not go there! 💡My wife's mom was originally from Porterville too, how interesting that your gran also hails from there. ☺️ The sausage was frozen for a day or two, but was eventually devoured and was delicious! 😝
It sounds like you might've been there before the worst of the drought was broken. This and so many other towns had an incredibly tough time for many years. 😢 We hope you will enjoy the rest of our trip through this part of the Karoo. It's fantastic to have you along for the ride. 😁🚗
thank you i could see my old town again, pity that you did not just put the text underneath and let Mariaan and Suzaan talk. Their story is one of hope but came from God and is also reflected in the name Karoo blessings . Pity you did not mention it
Thank you for your comment. We don't know when you were there last, but we're happy to have been able to show you what beautiful Merweville looks like now. We knew our story about Karoo Blessings wasn't perfect, thank you for filling in some of the gaps. 👌🏻 We spent almost two hours with Suzaan and Marian and, in the excitement, there were times when everyone spoke over one another and we had so many questions, that it was extremely difficult to put together a coherent piece of where they were telling their story themselves. We hope that more people will add to the story to make it more accurate and complete.
Thank you for showing us this beautiful little town. This was such a special episode.
What a wonderful inspirational story.
It really is! When one listens to these two ladies, it's truly remarkable how everything just seemed to fall into place. 🤩

I felt bad to be leaving Merweville. It felt peaceful and relaxing to be in this small town with a big heart ❤️
Very nice loved the aerial footage exceptional.
