Maybe you can redo that front weather strip but make it the length minus the inch or so raised, lip on each side. Then it may fit properly. I also noticed the gap at the bottom after you put the pebble tray. I’m sure you can weather strip that too and it’ll really help!

I just put polished stones in the bottom! I'm sure you can line it with plastic, though, if you're worried about it!
