When Funny Cars ran in the 8 second range it was possible to actually see a race unfold. Today it's over so fast there's no time to assess what's happening in real time. The faster Drag Racing gets the less interesting it is to watch. Drag Racing just may be doing itself in.
If you want to see something "interesting", you need to go to a real live Top Fuel drag race. Go to the end of the 1/4 mile and watch the funny cars and TF dragsters accelerating towards you reaching 330 mph. It is shit-your-pants awesome and terrifying.

FYI, New England Dragway , in NH, is a NHRA sanctioned track. I won 203 NHRA drag races and 3 class championships. I also raced in NASCAR and NETRA. 248 wins overall. I never did any IHRA racing nor did any 1/8 mile tracks. My last two wins, for my '57 Ford, were at NE Dragway in 2022 and 2023 for NE Nationals in June. 9.68 ET in 2023. 9.86 ET in 2023.
