Thank you so much for this reaction. It was great. I'd like to add a bit more information to Jongho's section. I think it's important info to understanding his view on his voice and the work he puts into it. The guide mentioned that he had trained at TOP Entertainment for several years. He joined TOP at the age of either 11 or 12 (depending on what time of year he joined). He has stated in interviews that he became a trainee at too young of an age. His voice started to change and according to him it went a bit nasally. His trainers at TOP would tell him that they hated listening to him sing and that if he was going to sing like that, he should just quit. Between that and other harsh training that all TOP trainees went through he decided to leave. He decided to take a few months off to figure out if he wanted to continue to try and be an idol with another company or if he wanted to give up on that dream and find something else to do with his future. One week into his break KQ called to offer him an audition. A friend of his convinced him to take the audition and even picked the song he would sing and the outfit he would wear. Everyone has said that when he came in he was very brisk and serious. Stern. It wasn't until Wooyoung joined and was able to break through his shell. You'll see in the early years he doesn't act much like a typical maknae but as the years go by and Jongho has learned to trust not just his members but also Atiny, you'll see that maknae start to show more and more. Watching him bloom in front of our eyes has been a joy to see.
Oh my gosh that absolutely breaks my heart… I know it’s incredibly important to be very careful training younger voices. Especially as boys voices change so drastically.
But the fact they treated him so harshly… there’s no reason to treat a kid like that. I don’t blame him for having his walls up after that.
And good for his friend for convincing him to audition!!!
Somehow I can see Wooyoung being the one to help him to break past that.
I’m so glad he’s in a place now where he can feel loved and accepted and free to be himself. He deserves that and so much more. 🥺
I can only imagine how proud Atinys who have watched him grow must be ❤️

as an Atiny who's been here since 2019, seeing him coming out of his shell over the years has definitely made me feel overwhelming joy
some updates/news: they won 4 times now on Immortal Songs, the only kpop group to have the most wins
campaigns that hj joined/donated to: remember sewol, dear heart, good neighbors, children's foundation and UNICEF
hongjoong has a lee mujin service ep where he sang & covered: billie jean, cupid, bouncy and starman
yunho plays valorant and lol a lot. in valorant he said he reached radiant which is the highest rank u can get in valo.

I think it says a lot about the members that they chose a brand new label with no connections over a more well known one (especially Wooyoung and Yoesang who already had connections with BigHit). They all clearly prioritise their relationships with each other and the people they work with and surround themselves with, over having more opportunities .
The label has never restricted them. KQ is not scared to let them receive training or guidance outside of Korea which I personally think has really elevated their music and performance. There is a clear respect between the members and KQ which is so hard to find in other companies, I just really hope it stays that way.

Wooyoung seemed to have had a really hard time when he was in Hybe, so much so that he ended up with stage fright. I'm glad he gave it one more chance with Yeosang following him to KQ.

First of all, thank you so much for the reaction and I enjoyed it alot more than I had expected. Actually, i was started following KPOP since 2011 and I am now 26. There was only one group that I was rly deeply drawn to in 2012 but sadly they hv to disband. Since then I still listen to KPOP but no group can draw me into them until I found ATEEZ. I think their personalities are the one that drew me deep down into them. Of cuz they are very hardworking and also very talented but the actual thing that drew me into them is their personalities. I can always feel their genuine love toward their craft and also to us, ATINYs. This is not sth that i can explain in words and you have to experience it urself to know tht feeling. So, I hope that you would continue ur ATEEZ journey and get to know their music and personalities more and I can guarantee that you will fall in love with each of the members and how adorable they are. Thank you for giving the chance to getting to know of our boys. You will not regret it. I am very excited to see your future reactions. ❤️

omg i am like u hongjoong was the first member i noticed in kingdom because he is so pretty and his smile is the prettiest smile i have ever seen lol but he wasn't the reason that only got me into ateez but he was the reason that got me into the whole kpop world now i listen to all groups but atz is one of my ult groups and hongjoong is my ult bias not only because he is an amazing artist but his because of his personality his mindset amazes me all the time also he is the kindest and the purest soul the way he leads ateez is incredible i know all the leaders are the fathers of their groups but hongjoong is more than that to ateez and to atinys too i can’t describe how much i love and respect this man and he is younger than me but i wish i can be like him fr

Just to show how small KQ was hongjoong in a recent interview said that when ateez debuted there was only 10 employees and now there are more than 100, and they had to promote themselves on the streets with homemade signs and thing

thank u so much for doing this guide but i want to add some info to hongjoong part..... hongjoong applied to kq as a producer and it was the company that suggested to him to be an idol so making music is his biggest passion and love he also produce for the new kq group xikers now he has credits in every track of their 2 albums that they did so far
also he is the fashion icon of the group he loves fashion and reforming clothes as the guide said and for that some brands invited him to attend their events like balmain and channel he has so many hobbies and he is so active very workaholic too but he has the kindest heart and the way he looks at ppl is my favorite thing in this world his face is so expressive not only on the stage

hongjoong is such an inspiration person he makes u see the world better or that's how i feel when i see or listen to him
i remember at their predebut days seonghwa said when he had doubts and worries about their future and talked to hj about it hongjoong told him that he believes that a person who works really hard will definitely someday be in a really good positions that is how he learned so he will keep going on with that belief so seonghwa learned that from him he said that was the moment he completely trusted him and if he is the leader then there will be nothing to be afraid of (hongjoong wasn't even the official leader yet at that time) when u watch ateez more u will see the members relay on him a lot and he has the mindset and the intelligent that helps him to take care of everything and everyone no matter how hard time or struggles he gets he never complain or lose his smile and never gave up on the things he wants or love

Honestly, crochet takes a little practice just to build the muscle memory how to hold the hook and yarn. But after that it’s actually pretty easy! I’d say knitting is a lot harder, personally.

I could write an essay on this video!! I have watched this guide so many times, on its own or with reactors and it always makes me so proud!! They are just all so precious in their own ways. It's fun to revisit each of their journeys and personalities. Demon line is how I initally fell in love with Hongjoong, so those clips are very nice too. I am just now feeling confident identifying the vocalists other than Jongho, even though I think they are all amazing.
Also, Court of Thorns and Roses! I love fey books the best. Some of my faves are the Wicked Lovely series and the Iron Fey series.

I'm totally down for watching ATEEZ and crocheting. I don't crochet, though. Heh. Dance practices are very recommended, because their talents are very on display. 26:07 Not the start of KQ, as the company already existed, but was made up of song writers and producers like Eden. Hong Joong started the trainee/idol phase of KQ's growth, being the first to join as a would-be idol member, and the group sort of coalesced in various ways around him. 40:24 Seonghwa is simply stunning. 53:10 Korea doesn't really have an elven history, so we don't see them portraying fae characters, which kinda sucks because you're very right that Yeosang as elven prince would be lush, particularly with pale hair color and blue eyes. Ugh. That said, he's just gorgeous always, so there's that. 1:17:30 Fix On is also a play on words that, when said quicky, sounds like Song, his surname, so it's got dual meanings. Our Princess Mingi is as precious as he is serious. ... Generally, though, it's a great look at all of the members and what sets them apart as members of the group as a whole.
