- Der Borussia-Ring ist eine Outdoor-Carrera-Strecke, die ich privat im Garten betreibe. Der Name stammt von der ehemaligen Zeche Borussia, die früher mal in der Nähe der Strecke existierte.
Die Fahrzeuge stammen von Carrera und sind im Maßstab 1:32.
Ergänzung 08.03.2021: Nachdem sich in den letzten Wochen sehr viele Menschen das Video angeschaut haben (vielen Dank!), hier mal ein paar kleine Anmerkungen zu der Bahn und zu dem Film. Die Bahn wurde erstmals im Sommer 2019 aufgebaut, im Winter 2019/2020 war sie abgebaut. Die Saison 2020 startete im April und endete im Oktober 2020. Dabei habe ich die Bahn nicht abgebaut, sondern nur die Weichen gegen defekte Weichen getauscht, um bei Bedarf fahren zu können. Da es doch arg kalt war, bin ich seit Oktober nicht mehr gefahren. Sobald die Temperaturen draußen stabiler werden, beginnt die 2021er Saison mit einer Reinigung, bevor wieder gefahren werden kann.
Zu dem Video, an einem schönen Sommertag in 2020 kam mir die Idee dazu, ein DTM-Rennen im Maßstab 1:32 zu filmen. Das Video entstand mit einer Panasonic FZ1000. Ein Tag lang habe ich mehrere Szenen gefilmt, geschnitten und zusammen gefügt. Alle Fahrzeuge habe ich auf einen Regler programmiert. Fahrzeuge aufgestellt, Kamera eingeschaltet und solange gefahren, bis auch das letzte Auto aus dem Slot gerutscht war. Die einzelnen Szenen waren nicht sehr lang, erst der Schnitt hat daraus einen Film gemacht. Wenn man sich die einzelnen Szenen anschaut, merkt man schnell, dass da was nicht stimmt ;-) - mir hat es Spaß gemacht und auf alle Fälle gibt es 2021 ein neues Rennen mit dem passenden Film dazu. Although I don't have a racetrack such as this, the video has given me ideas for my Hot Wheels Sizzlers layout that I will be constructing over the next few months. Like where to put the shrubs, trees and cameras. This was nice.

Hallo, danke schön! Die Bahn steht auch bei Regen draußen, nur die Weichen werden abgedeckt. Über den Winter sind die Weichen im Haus, da wird nicht gefahren.

Is the track permanently in place? If not, what is your setup time? And how were you able to have more than 6 cars running at the same time?
Hi dude! How do you control all the cars in only 2 lanes? I've had a slot racing track before, and when i tried to do something like that, my cars used to lose a lot of power, due to the multiple cars running in one only lane. Thanks by the way
Diodes in cars. They share power one gets it then they coast. Happens multiple times per second

Digital track, you can run upto 6 controlled cars in 2 lanes plus ghost cars. The power is constantly on the rails unlike normal slot car track and a digital signal is sent to each car through the track for control. Can also be used for switching lights on & off etc.
Oh wow, have just bought a carrera evolution set and have many questions as this is a future plan for me. I assume this is carrera stainless steel track? Do you have a any forum posts to follow you build of this? How has the digital parts handled being outside?

*Edit- yep, confirmed track is rustproofed and left outside without a roof, another vid show it covered in snow!!! 🤯
@@danmclean7375 I'm fairly sure it's outside, there is a stone wall, gravel and real plants, flowers etc plus there is debris on the track, like you get on an outdoor layout in the garden.
Which is fair enough if you put the track up temporarily on a dry day in summer but what happens when it rains?
Even if it's covered, it's still open to the elements and subject to moisture, which causes rust on the rails.
@@pdtech4524 Olafs replies confirm there's no roof, it's left outside (uncovered) and its rustproofed (probably some sort of clearcoat?) I would not be confident to subject my Scalextrics to Canadian weather like this though..
@@danmclean7375 Same here in the UK far too much moisture, maybe this layout is in a dryer climate?

netter Vorname ;-) - im Ernst, die Bahn steht zwar auch diesen Winter draußen, aber ich bin schon länger nicht mehr gefahren. Ist einfach zu kalt. Hab die Weichen gegen defekte getauscht, so dass ich theoretisch fahren kann, aber aktuell macht es keinen Spaß mehr. Ab April wird es wieder ernst im Garten. Die Weichen sind mit Schutzlack auf den Platinen versehen und werden bei Nichtgebrauch abgedeckt. Die Controll-Unit ist geteilt, das Bedienteil übernachtet im Haus. Mit Reinigung ist die Bahn im Sommer in 15 Minuten einsatzbereit. Probleme bisher überschaubar, aber das ist es mir auch wert.

Draußen? bisschen schade um alles (Autos und Schienen). Die Temperaturschwankungen kommen bei den Schienen bestimmt richtig gut an
Hi, die Bahn ist aktuell in der 5. Saison draußen, nur die Weichen kommen im Herbst rein, die restlichen Schienen bleiben draußen, auch über den Winter. Temperatur-Schwankungen bisher kein Problem. Eine Weiche hält ca. 1 Jahr, deshalb ist die Menge aktuell auf 3 Weichen reduziert. Die Bahn ist mit Schweißdraht durchzogen, der Strom fließt also ordentlich. Die Autos kommen nur an die frische Luft, wenn sie gefahren werden. Wobei ich allerdings nur noch einen kleinen Teil meiner Autos draußen einsetze. Draußen fahren wir mit Mittelmagnet, indoor im Keller ohne Magnete. Da ist mir der Umbau zu mühselig.

I've been tricking a lot here. I programmed all the cars on a controller, filmed the camera on a tripod and many individual sequences and edited them together. The 5 1/2 minutes shown are the result of 9 hours of work. It's not a single race, but rather many individual scenes. When the camera was rolling, I accelerated and saw what happened.
PS: My english is not good, I need Google to translate ;-)

@@PghMtbRides you can programm cars to be "ghost cars" with that setting you can give these cars a speed and they will continuesly drive at that speed through the circuit and change lanes on their own
i think they even refuel if you have all the needed parts for that but i'm not sure as i dont have those parts

Már bocsánat de ekkora marhaságot még nem láttam. Előzni nem lehet! Én igaz Magyarországon élek és csak az NDK gyártású pályát tudtam megvenni, 1969-ben és azóta játszottunk, rajta kb. 38 méter-es pályán. de úgy hogy mind a két pályán mentünk egy egy időfutamot, majd mindenki párban mind a két pályán, összemértük az erőnket! Az időfutamért 20 pont-tól lefelé az eredmények alapján pontoztunk a párosért 10 a győztes és 5 a vesztesé. majd a végén összeadva akinek a legtöbb pontja volt az nyert. Viszont az autóinkban Faller, Fleischman, és Carrera motorok vannak. Scalexric inditókkal.

theres only 2 lanes so only 2 cars have a chance of winning which are the lead cars.
They change lanes from time to time and do pitstops. Driver errors and collisions makes it more interesting aswell. Anything can happen

ich hab hier ziemlich viel getrickst. Ich habe alle Autos auf einen Regler programmiert, Kamera auf ein Stativ und viele einzelne Sequenzen gefilmt und zusammen geschnitten. Die gezeigten 5 1/2 Minuten sind das Ergebnis von 9 Stunden Arbeit. Es ist kein einzelnes Rennen, sondern viele einzelne Szenen. Als die Kamera lief, hab ich Gas gegeben und geschaut, was passiert.
