- Israel has carried out further airstrikes on Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip…
…with tanks and armoured vehicles positioned near the border engaging in gunfire directed towards Palestinian territory.
It comes a day after the Israeli military has assembled several tanks and armoured vehicles on its border with the southern Gaza Strip, in possible preparation for an invasion of the border city of Rafah.
The tanks and military vehicles were positioned near Israel's Kerem Shalom crossing on Friday which is directly next to Rafah.
Israeli leaders claim that Rafah is Hamas’ last stronghold in Gaza following more than six months of war.
