We had an all out revival with a whopping 5-6 people which proves that God isn't contingent on the number of people who show up, not on our feelings, or on the condition of our hearts. A new experience but this song got everyone up and worshiping the Lord. This past week changed me, I'd made some mistakes, I talked about it with my pastors wife and now that guilt I'd been carrying has been lifted off me. I don't have to worry about it any longer. The first time I heard this song, I was at a family members church, the first church I'd stepped foot in since my Mom passed away 28 years ago. I'd given up on church. I needed my Mom with me still, how could He take her away? So much in my life had gone to hell, I'm disabled and in a wheelchair, my mental health is worse than it had been; I'd tried to end my life to end the pain and to be with my family who had since passed 💔 Hearing this song for the first time gave me the chills. I could feel the Holy Spirit enter my heart and soul and I started to cry. This is something I need to hear when I feel troubled. How great and powerful is He, indeed. 🙏💗😊

The reason why this song is so effective is because it reveals God's sovereignty, His authority, and His glory. The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, through that fear He shows us his love toward us because he knows the consequences of sin. We realize we have no right to state what God can and can not do, for He is God. The mountains tremble before Him and the demons run and flee at the mention of His name! How much do we understand such a fear that we direly need, but we trade it in for the fear of man. Those who know Him will keep His commandments (1 John 2:3) and those who love him will keep His commandments (John 14:21), these two are related to the Fear of the Lord. For without the Fear of the Lord you cannot know God and without the Fear of the Lord you will not love God, nor can you obey Him. Because you will not know the reason why He puts fear on us as he did to the Israelites. He put fear in their hearts to make them realize that God put that fear in there hearts for their own well being. We cannot fight sin by ourselves and God knows that. However, in order to show its severity and His love to us he had to put fear in our hearts so that we many realize how severe sin really is, and so that we may not have to face the consequences of sin. Without spending time with God it is impossible to resist sin because the Fear of the Lord is only evident to those who turn their ear to wisdom (Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom) and apply their hearts to understand (Proverbs 2: 1-7). If you do call out for insight and cry aloud (Same as shouting) for understanding, and if you look for it as a hidden treasure (therefore you have to dig for it). Vs.5 "then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God" (Knowledge=intimacy, understand= breaking it apart and comprehending all of its functioning parts and knowing how to put it back together [Just like Math]). We as a people need to realize how great God really is, God is God, no one else is like Him and nothing can stand in His way (The Fear of the Lord, the reason why it is the beginning of wisdom is because it shows how much greater God is, and it requires humility on our part [Humility does not mean: to put yourself lower than you are, Humility means to obey God realizing his position over you, it is a process so the Fear of the Lord acts as the beginning, and eventually it leads to the knowledge of God (Intimacy), and we will obey him out of love as a result of this fear.])

I cry when I worship God with hands raised, with certain songs in my church. And that is simply the Holy Spirit within you, when you cry. The first time I heard this song, I was at a family members church, the first church I'd stepped foot in since my Mom passed away 28 years ago. I'd given up on church. I needed my Mom with me still, how could He take her away? So much in my life had gone to hell, I'm disabled and in a wheelchair, my mental health is worse than it had been; I'd tried to end my life to end the pain and to be with my family who had since passed 💔 Hearing this song for the first time gave me the chills. I could feel the Holy Spirit enter my heart and soul and I started to cry. This is something I need to hear when I feel troubled. How great and powerful is He, indeed. 🙏💗😊

The reason why this song is so effective is because it reveals God's sovereignty, His authority, and His glory. The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, through that fear He shows us his love toward us because he knows the consequences of sin. We realize we have no right to state what God can and can not do, for He is God. The mountains tremble before Him and the demons run and flee at the mention of His name! How much do we understand such a fear that we direly need, but we trade it in for the fear of man. Those who know Him will keep His commandments (1 John 2:3) and those who love him will keep His commandments (John 14:21), these two are related to the Fear of the Lord. For without the Fear of the Lord you cannot know God and without the Fear of the Lord you will not love God, nor can you obey Him. Because you will not know the reason why He puts fear on us as he did to the Israelites. He put fear in their hearts to make them realize that God put that fear in there hearts for their own well being. We cannot fight sin by ourselves and God knows that. However, in order to show its severity and His love to us he had to put fear in our hearts so that we many realize how severe sin really is, and so that we may not have to face the consequences of sin. Without spending time with God it is impossible to resist sin because the Fear of the Lord is only evident to those who turn their ear to wisdom (Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom) and apply their hearts to understand (Proverbs 2: 1-7). If you do call out for insight and cry aloud (Same as shouting) for understanding, and if you look for it as a hidden treasure (therefore you have to dig for it). Vs.5 "then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God" (Knowledge=intimacy, understand= breaking it apart and comprehending all of its functioning parts and knowing how to put it back together [Just like Math]). We as a people need to realize how great God really is, God is God, no one else is like Him and nothing can stand in His way (The Fear of the Lord, the reason why it is the beginning of wisdom is because it shows how much greater God is, and it requires humility on our part [Humility does not mean: to put yourself lower than you are, Humility means to obey God realizing his position over you, it is a process so the Fear of the Lord acts as the beginning, and eventually it leads to the knowledge of God (Intimacy), and we will obey him out of love as a result of this fear.])
