Hi Doc, Stuart your carnivour patient from Sydenham Vic. My wife has been flattened by Covid for the past few days, she is not a carnivour. We are not isolating and I am still negative and feeling fine. I think you are on the money with your assertion.
In my opinion, no doubt about it. I'm a 5 year carnivore. My own experience ( n=1) nobody was exposed to more covid than I was, and I mean nobody...I worked corrections, and I was responsible for taking care of almost 600 positive covid cases all at the same time. I dealt with the posiitive inmates "up close", handled their laundry, mail, food, everything... I worked overtime up to 65 hours per week because nobody wanted to come to work. On top of all this, I had a live in girlfriend (nurse) who had covid. Thankfully, I never contracted covid. My personal opinion is because of the following: 1. getting the sugar out of my diet asap. 2. Eating nutrient dense bio available foods that contain some vitamin D. I have done some research, and found that "LDL" has a role in the immune system. Maybe I just got lucky, or maybe there is something to being a carnivore. Just my hypothesis.
Same here in exposure working in nursing home...but I did test positive for covid 3x and never had any symptoms at all! Age 62 when covid first started, now age 65 in a month. So very glad I turned my health around! Reversed t2d, lost 60 lbs, and feel 39 yrs younger! Never going back to any other way of eating,,!!
Having been keto and more recently ketovore for over a year now, I have had covid twice. The first time, it was barely noticeable, the second it was pretty much exactly like a bad cold, lasting about 5 days. More interestingly I haven't had any other infections or illnesses in that whole time - no coughs, colds or sore throats - the kind of things I used to have multiple times in a year.
I've been low carb ketovor since may, I recently caught a cold virus from my Daughter and Grandaghter, I got a runny nose and felt a little under the weather for one day, I had no cough or chest problems, no sinus issues, no sore throat, just a prickle in the nose and throat for a day. My Daughter and Grandaghter have been quite poorly with it and are still suffering, So there is definitely an advantage to eating a low carb diet and emunity.
Also from Cornwall, 6months carnivore and feeling great. Most of my friends think I’m nuts ! Only a few been intrigued seeing my results but won’t even try it 🤷♀️
I tested positive for it three times. Each time I got it was milder. The last time I tested positive I was asymptomatic other than feeling less motivated. The worst flu of my life was when I was plant based in 1993. The first time I had covid in 2020 I lost my sense of smell and taste. It took 6 months for it to return to the point I could enjoy a tasty steak fully again. Never had much of a cough and sinus headache was my first symptom. The next symptom was nausea and followed up by intense sneezing and mucus. Within 2 days I was 90 percent better.
I'm glad you feel OK. Interesting about the diet. I've been on it for a week for autoimmune issues. I already have less swelling and pain. I did try previously but wasn't disciplined enough and subsequently failed. I'm a bit more determined this time, as meds are not suitable for me. It doesn't surprise me that the meat diet would help with long covid.

Thank you, doctor, for sharing your experiences. You look reasonably good for having it, and I hope you're in top shape, soon! I had it almost exactly 3 years ago (week leading up to Christmas '20), and it flattened me for a solid two days. The third day, I was barely able to drive to get tested. Fast forward to last week. My wife and kids were sick for 2-4 days each with some sort of virus, but I never caught it. Coincidence? Maybe...maybe not, because I'm low carb a year now and my first Carniversary is around Christmas. In fact, I haven't been sick once, since I became Carnivore, but my family has been sick a few times. I really think you're on to something with this video. FYI-I just started taking colostrum yesterday, which might be beneficial for you, even though it's after the fact. Keto eating for 2 years before 2020. Caught Covid at the end of June at 67 years old. Felt like I was getting a cold with sinus for about 3 days then felt back to normal very soon. By the end of the week I was at normal energy with no symptoms. I have not had a second round of covid despite me, from the beginning, not social isolating and only wearing a mask when demanded of me (40 year nurse, Masters, and 3 years on FEMA Pandemic response team in S. California-they followed very little of all we had planned for right out of the gate. I was appalled ). Still get triggered when the topic comes up. It should have had a free flow of information - disease knows no political belief.
Im an un-v_a-xx.d individual who happened to get pretty serious negative effects from the c-one9 era. I'm currently 42. Before said era, i worked hard and played hard. I grew up athletic and active. Also had a party side beginning in middle school. My 20's was def most unhealthy period of my life as i was pursuing a music career and happened to indulge in the "Rockstar " lifestyle throughout. Iwas skinny fat i.e. looked like a slim pregnant man - from my affinity to alcohol , smoking and garbage foods... fast forward to my 30's, i became health concious and over the last decade+, i weaned off cigarettes and alcohol. Would have streaks of clean eating+workout, then Would have a night out down town or whatnot, get the drinks+cigs in me, and then be on that hype for a month or so. Then just alternate those two scenarios for the last ten ish years.... either way, every time id get back to clean eating ( used to be like low fat-hi protein-Moderatelely high carbs-homemade smoothies, always some veggies in a meal) and working out, I'd end up detoxed and feeling amazing for the most part. I always kinda joked that for me, 30's was new 20's and as i was approaching my 40' that that was the new 30's.... Then c_one9 came about (oh yeah, i even named two of my smoothies -1 C19 Eliminator and 2 The Coronanator) and I'm sure i got the Del_ta and Original Omicr_on. 2nd one for sure because i did a home test and was positve for the C..... i initially thought the big C was not a big deal, as i could recall many flu infections giving me worse overall illness/symptoms.... then enter Long C 0 _V 1d... my workouts were no longer helping me. Actually, at one point it was seeming to become a deleterious activity as i would get sick instantly like the next day after a gym session. Happened two consecutive times in the beginning. One time, i took my pre workout (which I've always taken for workouts/ or black coffee) and shortly into the workout, thought i was going to have a heart attack... my chest/lung/heart area generally became very suspect.... i didn't feel the need to see a doc as i was already suspicious about this whole era, and therefore the medical institution, plus i could count on one hand how many times I've been to a doctor in my whole life anyway.... so i began my own research which led me to taking plethora of vitamin/supplements to name a few that i think helped - ZINC, B1 as BENFOTIAMINE, D3, DIFFERENT COMPLEXES, AND NAC, among others... they helped, but i still couldn't fully shake the PEM and general fatigue/brain fog issues. Id say the supps got me from feeling like 60% of my best self to about 70%..depressing times for sure.. during this time i was also fascinated with keto and carnivore vids, but i was only able to have success with low carb (which added to my overall improvement, like 70%to 80%) and couldn't wrap my head enough around carnivore to give a try (yet) even though I've always preferred savory over sweet... Should probably mention that in 2021 i got to my heaviest ever @215 lbs (with everything being shutdown= one of my most least active period). I'm 5'10.... before the C era i was an intentional solid 195 from my mass gain workout regiment ... and before that i was able to cut my skinny fatness down to my high-school weight 165.... So, i actually think i was suffering some ill effects spurred on by my C infections + history of far from perfect lifestyle, but i also think a unofficial diabetes diagnosis was the culprit of my sustained symptoms as well. That's why i mentioned me reaching 215 lbs because i think that's when i became some kind of diabetic, which could also cause similar fatigue issues... Fast forward to approximately 3 months ago, i finally give the Carnivore WOE a go... and guess what? ... BOOM, like a week into it, im able to workout hard again on my days off and go back to work (a very physically demanding job) and not feel wiped out and regretting working out.... just recently did a 36hr fast and worked out both days and MAN WAS IT TWO OF THE BEST WORKOUTS I'VE EVER HAD!! Especially the day two workout. Being fat adapted and running on ketones is next level !!! Earlier i mentioned the diabetes stuff because as soon as i go virtually 100% zero carb/sugar, i finally completely shake off all the sustained ill effects that began during the C era, during which at one point i became my most overweight.... Was it Long C 0 V 1_d ? Was it some form of diabetes? A combination of both? Dunno. Do know Carnivore was the remedy. And is now my WOE 🙏🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 In case anyone out there with a similar back story, i hope this helps🙏🏽✌🏽
I got it and it was quite mild. Maybe 3 days i was very farigued in the morning. Quite stuffy for about 3-4 days but could btreath through nose at night (yay). Got over it in about 1.5 week. I did take some nutrtional supplements tho. Bone broth gave me too much inflammation, so I had to quit that wheh i was sick.

And is now my WOE 🙏🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
In case anyone out there with a similar back story, i hope this helps🙏🏽✌🏽
BTW, new year 2025 will be 2 years straight with NO ALCOHOL or Cigs 👍🏼
Please could you do a video on the carnivore ‘priming’ concept? Is there any evidence for this approach?
also, doesnt cholesterol (i.e. it's cargo) fight infection?
Evidence suggests yes it does help. Good evidence for example that low cholesterol increases risks of pneumonia.
Gotta love a traditional Christmas sausage roll!
I couldn't eat for 3 days last sept when I contracted covid. Been a carnivore since 2020
I got it and it was quite mild.

High ldl equals good immune system. Lmhr study
I followed the study, but didn't see that part. Interesting...I'm borderline LMHR, so that may be why my resistance seems to be good. Thank you!
