Thanks for showing this story. As always you give so much information about the place or subject. I'm learning so much about L.A. The thing about this episode for me was the end. I was lying awake the other night, alone and I had my headphones on and you began to sing. It was amazing, sad. I was touched and began to cry thinking of my grandson who I'm yet to see and probably will never see because of the border stuff ups in Australia. The airline voided my ticket twice so I can't travel interstate.. You said you had it on a CD, can I order it online somewhere. Thank you Jordan for giving people like me so much enjoyment and to your wonderful pooch. God bless.

My parents had a 82 Thunderbird. They were t-boned on a highway when some old gomer missed the stop sign. The car was totalled but besides dad's glasses flying off his face, and mom cracked her tailbone, they sustained no majore injuries. The gomer's car looked like crumpled tinfoil. They were okay though. Just goes to show your grandpa was right - those older cars are like tanks.

I used to shop at that Aaron's records back in the late 80's.
I still have all the VHS movies I bought from that store in my closet.
I didn't know the Animals recorded the song house of the rising sun at T.T.G. Studios.?

The car on fire... I saw that happen in a Sean Penn movie, "This Must Be The Place." Sean's character's rental truck catches on fire at a gas station. A truck driver tells him that happens sometimes when you add too much oil, it could spontaneously combust. I don't if that's true but it stuck in my memory.

TTB and story was interesting. Sounded like it was a good place to move forward from. That boss guy was a control freak who did not care about people anyway. Lots of those around. I liked the saying "you don't ever see a moving van following behind a hearse because you can't take it with you". Funny😂

Just happened on your blog, I was watching you tube videos about LA in the old days and yours came up. I grew up in LA in the momentous sixties and used to cruise the Sunset Strip went to the Whiskey A Go Go as it was known in those days with those lame A Go Go dancers. I lived in the "Other Valley" no one ever talks about & no knows about, the San Gabriel Valley. Anyway, I was wondering if you were from Troy, OH? These many years later I now live in Columbus, OH and just thought that was a little ironic. By the way, Jah is a cutie and I liked your vlog and the music.
