Wreckfest is the real deal. It has been made by the programmers of Destruction Derby. They couldn't use the name because it's the company holds the name. But Wreckfest is the real successor of the legendary Destruction Derby games from PS1, PS2 era.
I would have preferred more sports cars and race cars to start out with, but this is nice too. However GRID Legends needs to deliver on an improved replay mode, and more paint jobs for all the vehicles, that would make a great racing game even better.
Just picked up EA Play Pro to try this game. I'm a Racing game fanatic and needed something new besides FH5, NFS Heat, and Crew2(so burnt out on crew) It looks like it'll be a blast. Also Downloading F1 22.
People are seeing this game and can't stop saying wreckfest is better and the original. What you don't realize is that it's the same thing as saying Pubg is a bootleg fortnite. Think about that
It;s not the same considering it's the same company that did the original Race Driver GRID from 2008 and this new GRID is suppose to be an evolution of that, this new "GRID" looks like a joke, specially the destruction which seems massively nerfed. Even the smallest touch in the original 20087 GRID had such a sense of impact, Destruction Derby in that game was insanely fun. Cars also seem that it had more weight in the original.

Was hoping for something a bit more like Wreckfest or the original Destruction Derby games...the earlier Grid game had, like Wreckfest, proper dedicated DD circuits, this just reuses the current track...its not bad but it does smack of minimum effort
