It's great to see your old iron earning it's keep. I really like the narrative style of your videos and appreciate the time and effort you put into presenting them for us.
Don't know about your area, but ground bareing lowboys don't work well in our area. Ground is to soft for anything heavy. Not sure if it was. You have to mush fun.
I cannot describe how much joy I get watching videos of the autocar being put to work!
Love the Autocar.
same!
I'm glad he put footage of him driving it on main road with no music no time-lapse
Where you at hope all is well haven't seen a video from you in 10 days hope to see you soon.
Those containers were a wonderful score. With that lining, wiring, and shelves you got a load of extra value there. Great score!
Just a suggestion, but, why not go ahead and re-assemble the 3 boxes as a warehouse and use that for parts and expensive tool storage? They are much easier to lock up and secure things under a camera system. It also gives you storage outside of your new building to allow work instead of clutter being underfoot.
good thinking. it would be easy to clutter up the permanent structure. over time, clutter has a way of filling up and interfering with premium dry, HVAC cement floor workspace . the boxes are a perfect way to greatly expand the usable space. a key will be to inventory parts and tools on your computer as you assign real locations to them. there are inexpensive programs available of PC and Mac to guide you through the process of laying out your storage area and assigning parts to places. Imagine you were going to sell each tool, piece and part and treat them all that way. It would be easy to lose track of things and end up buying needed things you already have. I do it all the time, and it pisses me off.

Good idea as well.. esp. if someone can figure out any personal info.. you wouldn't want to loose pricey tools/ equipment.. don't underestimate the modern theif. Zip ties $ bias plies had a great setup for putting a shop crain in a conex box
I think he is running out of room for the things "he wants". It would be nice to acquire things when you are ready to set them up an use. I started watching some of his videos on building a pole barn. And got me here with him buying containers for more space! I need to go back and see what he does an what he is trying to do. Maybe he needed a larger pole barn or one with a large loft for storage?
Another hour of great entertainment, thanks Matt.
I will never grow tired of seeing your Autocar Matt. That 6x6 pay star would have looked nice in the fleet, too!
I agree!!
Great haul! You can NEVER have too much storage. YOU would be crazy to get rid of any of the shipping containers. With ALL of the equipment you own these would make great parts houses. You could really keep a good amount of inventory in them and very organized. Thank YOU for the videos. Happy New Year
A big Happy New Year to you Matt. Looking forward to all your exciting adventures in 2023
Same
Thank you, my name is also Matt
Penske waiting on the new BMW S13.
I'm hoping to see some auto car trucking vids!!
Congrats on some great buys. You said you may have too much storage 😂. Not possible!😅
You did very well at that auction! That powermatic bandsaw, once you have gone through it, is a keeper. Congratulations!
I'll bet you'll fill all three of those shipping containers with tools and supplies for your operation, Matt. With all the equipment you have now and as your business grows you'll need that storage space eventually. It will help keep the shop from getting cluttered up with too much stuff. Anyway, that's my opinion and you're welcome to it! 😆 Nice haul my friend! Looking forward to all the great stuff you've got to show us in 2023. Happy New Year!
The compound is growing!! I look forward to each new video, no matter where they might take you! Thanks, Matt!
I appreciate that!
Yes!!! More content and here I thought we would have to wait until the new year. Thanks Matt. Cheers to the new year!
Having those containers as a parts storage is a pretty nice addition. Keeps the junk out of the main shop and you could maybe rig it so that you can pop straight from the main shop into these containers, for those frigid days :D
Honestly i was thinking the same thing. Set them up near the main shop or somewhere that puts them in a good position between the main shop and container shop to act as central storage for the both of them. Knowing Matt he will prob fill them up pretty quickly especially if he brings in more autocar parts trucks or something lol
Good idea! Keeping the storage close to the shops will make things much more convenient and will save valuable time.
@@OutlawH2 Yeah, more storage space often means buying more junk.
From the UK, "Happy New Year" to you and yours, Matt, and "thank you" for the pleasurable videos that you have worked hard on to bring us all the exciting entertainment.
Can't wait to see what is inside
Dude! You scored on those containers, the contents alone easily pays what you spent. Good on ya.
I love machines that auctions have
How
Those connex boxes alone go for ~12,000 near me.
I know it is a tremendous amount of work to do these videos, but I hope you never stop, I love each and every one of them. Thank you for taking the time to do them, they are very informative and entertaining. I also appreciate that you don't try to act silly or be a comedian like we see in so many videos, yours are very easy to watch. Thank you again!
happy new year i can't wait to see what is in store for 2023
I have been going back through old videos, that I thought I had watched already, it is awsome to see the difference in the farm and the impact the hard work you have put in to it has changed it from the beginning.
I've been slimming down the content I watch on YT as I've sub'd over 200 channels over the years. Your channel will always be in my top ten. Happy New year to you and your family Matt. I hope next year is as good as this year or even better. Thanks for uploading some great content.
I have done the same... only so many hours in the day and I have to work and fix my crap.
I tried to slim down channels, grew larger instead. Lot of things happening in the world now to try and keep aware of.
@briansd6 I found the same when I first started, so just stopped watching content in my notification. I'm now down to about 50 channels, mostly dealing with mechanics and cars. Channels like Matts that take in old stuff bobody wants or has simply been left to rot. Matt buys this/these items and gets them working. I guess I'm just fascinated seeing stuff work again after so many years.
And as you were turning the rig around, was reminded of how much your empire has grown. All fond memories and hopes for the future! Maybe the next thing is a jet boat for the creek...?
34:20 ouch... thems the breaks. I felt that.
The 1st connex segment deserved an OSHA violation cameo appearance 😂
Huh? I don’t see nuffin! 🙃
My health and safety guy gave me a plan ( risk assessments, method statements) to relocate the site compound, site cabins and containers etc, 2 mobile cranes and tractor trailers, he even kindly provided me with a pamphlet showing me how to climb up and secure he lifting chains ! After I had taken him to the airport for his weekend away, I got the M and E guys in on Saturday afternoon to disconnect them, relocated the entire compound with two JCB 532 telehandlers with extended forks on the Sunday, Reconnected Monday am, cost of relocation, £350, no one died or got maimed by a ladder, his estimate was £5000
Sometimes initiative, just has to take precedence!
Happy New Year Matt, Eva, Roscoe and Meatball- all the best for 2023.
You’ve done very well with the Ritchie Bros auctions, always worth a watch 👍
Dead spot 52:07 to 53:10 might need to crop it out and re-render it
@@marksaddler I thought it my phone or service.
Those containers were a score! I can guarantee that if you get rid of any of them that you’ll kick yourself later, we all know how quickly storage space gets used up lol
Wishing you and yours a prosperous New Year .Very good content and informative. Keep up the down to earth narrative and the humor.
I really don't understand why people want those storage containers so bad, the price you pay per square foot of storage space is crazy high, and the way they are laid out, makes it very difficult to get things in and out, like a forty foot long hallway that you are trying to work in/ move around in. IDK
@@pontiacmaniac2 for 320 SF, what is cheaper? I have 3 40' high cube and one 20' container. I could not figure out a cheaper storage option.
@@jonblakemore6454 Building an actual shed, would suit my needs better, if you need job site storage next day, these containers are hard to beat. But if you take a look at quonset huts or something similar, I feel like the space is much more usable, rather than being divided up into 40ft long hallways.... Your mileage may vary.
The Autocar sounds tough!! Love it.
Happy New Year Matt. thank you for bringing us all along in all your adventures, looking forward to a whole bunch of new ones in 2023, take care bud.
Completely unexpected video! As a new subscriber to your channel, I have been catching up on all of your old content and was caught off guard on a new posting so soon. Matt, thank you and have a great New Year.
Happy to have ya! Stick around! Lots of cool stuff on the way!
That's the cool thing about Matt's channel, ya never know what "cool things" he will drag home next. I never thought that Autocar would see the road again, but it runs well, a dustless blaster going over and a coat of paint that truck would look sweet.
Awesome buy Matt good to see the wife gave you some pocket money lol all the best for 2023 mate great content always take care 👍👌🔧🔧🔧❤️
"I have no use for a container handler"
*Instantly buys 3 containers, has problems handling them.* 😄
exactly the same thing i thought
Those that watched, felt your pain.
I understand if you need it for a job then will not use it again... those things are very heavy evidenced by the lifting the rear end at the pickup yard.
got by though, as ever, so pufff that peace pipe
Matt Handled those containers just fine
Happy new year!!! Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you and your videos. Looking forward to this coming year with all you have going on...
Blowing those horns!! Thank You trooper Matthew for a happy new video. That Autocar diesel-turbo sound is sweet!
That bandsaw will come in handy more than you think. Pop’s bought a Do-All a few years back for the shop. Can’t imagine life without it now. If you’re able to master the blade welder, please share your secret! Great scores at the auction!
Grind both edges of the blade two ends back about a half inch slap them and silver solder them together
16:15: I think these "rollers" (I'd rather call them "compactors") are key machinery for road construction, for preparing the ground before the asphalt layers are applied. This one looks like brand new, like really espensive (minimum 45.000$ or so).
It is awesome you use that Autocar, I am a lil jealous
For your Workshop. I think what you need for Heating. Is a Heater that can Use Waste Oil. So Oil that you change out of the Machines Could also be used to Heat up the Shop.
Nice haul Matt. All that storage and organization means you'll have room for more stuff lol! Happy new year to you and yours!
Goodntight, I’d definitely use one of those 40’ containers with the shelving and cabinets for parts and hardware storage.
Happy New Year to you and Eva, Matt! I enjoy all your videos. I'm looking forward to seeing how the containers are configured and used, and how your shop is set up with the other goodies.
Holy moly, Matt! Love the CONEX score you got there! I'm wondering if that wasn't a wallmount for "just a tv" but for a monitor for whatever inventory system they used, because you know they had to track all the crap that was stored there. Happy New Year to you and Mrs DC, looking forward to the new stuff you'll be bringing us :) Cheers!
I’m sure you are correct
Nice haul! I would definitely keep them you know you'll need them storage is always handy
Happy New Year (from 'across the Pond') and, as ever, another great video.
Your attendances at those Ritchie Brothers auctions are guaranteed to provide exciting content!
Omg that International Is Gorgeous Love these Old Rigs What a Beauty Matt 8:42 @Diesel Creek
I say keep all 3 containers of you have the room as you can never have enough storage and having space to store parts of a stripped peice of equipment where it can be layed out neatly is so much nicer than it all having to be pulled up
Happy new year Matt thank you for the many hours of quality viewing, may there be many more. =)
Love your content. I never know what I will see. It’s like going on an adventure each time. I look forward to seeing more of your stuff in 2023 ❤🎉!!!
Thanks for the Diesel Creek 2022 Adventures Matt, looking forward to the continuation of the adventures in 2023! Wishing all the best in health and happiness, to you, Miss Eva, and the rest of the Diesel Creek family for the new year. Cheers!!
Awesome deal on the containers. Either have them all connected together to the shop or in close proximity to your shop and have yourself an office/YT dream Lab/storage area! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
TURN ONE INTO A SHOP TO DO MACHINE WORK IN
Dang dude. You got a great deal on that bandsaw
Congrats on the scores. Excellent bandsaw.
Happy new year Mr. Diesel Creek! I'm stoked for the adventures and progress of you in 2023, especially your new shop and all the new equipment you will discover.
Greetings from a very mild / warm Germany (15°C with blue sky and sunshine!)
Holey smokes that Container is Packed with Awesome tool Boxes 59:43 I would have jumped all over buying that Container Matt them Stanley Vidmor Cabinets and the shelving is Sweet @Diesel Creek
Some nice scores there Matt! And that Autocar startup was a beauty! Happy New Year!
An auction vid, turns into a cold start video!
Doesn't get much better than that !!
I love the auction videos!!!!!! Those containers are sweet. Can’t wait to see what 2023 brings to the farm!! Can’t wait to see the boxes all put together.
Happy new year Matt. Those containers look like they'd hold some amount of parts and smaller projects. If you hang onto them I'm sure they'd be a useful addition to compliment the new workshop. Was good to see the autocar putting in some work, man that thing sounds great. Been watching for around a year now and you've very quickly become my favourite channel to sit down and watch and even re-watch when I need to just chill out. The work you put into each video ontop of trying to get stuff done doesn't go unnoticed. I'm really happy for all the progress you've made since I started watching and I can't wait to see what 2023 brings for you. Cheers
Happy New Year Mat. You got it going on man. Can't wait to see your shop completely finished.
I was just thinking , I stumbled on your channel way back when you were tearing down a silo and I been hooked ever since. I’ve seen everything you e posted. It’s truly been awesome to see you evolve and grow. I’ve also learned a lot of troubleshooting from you. Thanks Matt !! I ain’t goin nowhere.
Nice score, the Powermatic on the West Coast would go for $2000 plus and the grinder $1500 plus. Would love to have both. Those Vidmar cabinets sell for a minimum of $1200 each. Congrats on the auction. Our auctions out here are bringing insane prices. Sometimes more than retail. Go figure. Have a very Happy New Year and all the best to you and yours.
Great buy . Keep the containers. So much space storage and possibly office, supplies tools etc
Keep up the good works Matt.!!
Really loving all you accomplish. A fine 2023 for u and the family !!!
This is one of my favourite trips that u take us along, Just to know the price of machinery out there compared to my neck of the woods is priceless, thanks Matt.
Happy new year Matt!! Thanks for a great year of incredible content! Well done my friend! Bring on 2023!
Happy New Year to you and your family Matt. Really enjoyed discovering your channel and watching your content in 2022. Wishing you health, wealth, happiness and every success with your projects in 2023. All the best.
Happy new year Matt, I look forward to following your progress this year, amazing work, beautiful lifestyle!
Loved the sound of the truck when you were leaving the driveway to get the last container.
These are by far my favorite video topics you do and the ones I look forward to!
It's nice to have good friend with heavy equipment.
That's a Equipment Guys Dream Lot right there Matt 0:50 @Diesel Creek
Great way to jump start a Happy New Year Matt! All those containers I thought You were Andrew Camarata getting ready to start another castle build. Keep those Diesel Creek never a dull moment videos coming!
Delightful surprise for the last day of a crappy year! Thanks for a great video and a Happy and Prosperous New Year to you Matt and Eva.
Happy New Year to you and your family Matt. Stay safe and we’ll see you and more adventures of Diesel Creek!
Happy New Year Matt and Eva! Thanks for all the entertainment and knowledge you’ve given us viewers. I hope the videos are making you rich. LOL
Thanks again Matt for bringing us along! Always a good watch when you go to auction!
Thanks for the Christmas bonus! Over an hour. Loved every minute of it.
Pray you and your family will be Blessed in the new year!
This film was absolutely awesome. They all are but this one, I love your life man.
Happy Newyear from us in Holland. And see your video’s in the new year .👍😀
Yes!!!! Thanks for this video Matt, auction videos are great! Happy new year!
Happy New Year Matt! It's great to see how far you've come to be able to actually get some of the stuff you want at RBAuctions!
I am excited to see what 2023 brings to you and your channel!
Great pickup Matt, enjoy your thought process!!
Thank you Matt. This has been a great year on your channel. Looking forward to another great year in 2023. Definitely on of my favorites! Wishing for you and yours, a great and healthy New Year.
Man you’re really an inspiration to me. I always enjoy watching your content, especially watching you methodically figure stuff out. Like unloading the containers, I was just looking forward to seeing how you’d figure that out! Also, not an operator if any kind but I thought it was impressive how you snagged that corner hole with the excavator!
Happy new year brother, can’t wait to watch your content in 2023
So those shipping containers actually we'll come in handy for a lot of different things you can still use them for tool storage or you can take the tool racks and shelving out of Them and use them in your new shop And there is so much more you could do with them too
Top score with those containers Matt, they are excellent.
Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy 2023.
The only thing better than seeing an hour long Diesel Creek video on a Saturday morning is seeing an hour long Diesel Creek video on Sunday morning and watching it while I eat pancakes.
Mmmmm pancakes nom nom nom.....
Thanks for all the great content you give Matt. Have a happy new year!
Happy New Year from Oregon. Lets see what the new year brings and what you have instore for us in it !
Happy New Year to Eva and Matt. Great finds at the auction. The days are getting longer, can't wait for spring here in Maine.
Love all your vids but really love the auction videos, would love to see a in depth one on how you get set up as a bidder and everything that goes with getting started with the auction sites
Happy new year! You scored on those containers.
34:12 that is why you always keep your distance from tense wires and chains, lol.
Not sure if you are up for this, but as the containers go, seems making one into a long thin rack on each side container will be very good for organization. Putting all the cabinets in another container or half the container or whatever configuration works for you and fill it with toys the rest of the way. Then you have a choice of disposing of the older and one of your newly acquired containers. The other option is to put one container on top of the other to store material that is smaller and lighter, possibly less often accessed through one of those side doors. Only an idea. Love to hear yours?
Nice haul from the auction.
Happy New Year to you and your wife(and Roscoe)!
Looking forward to your video’s of your adventures in 2023!🎉🎉🎉
Happy New Year Matt!! You’ve done a great job!! Can’t wait to see what goes thru that shop of yours!!
Great video as always Matt, those containers look well kitted out, the tool boxes are screaming out to be set up all along the side wall of the shop for tools and service parts. You could then fully rack out the other two units and sell the 3rd to recover some of the cost of the containers purchase. Happy new year to you and your family have a good one all of you 🎉
Great score all around! Happy new year!
Matt. Hope to see your new shop with geothermal heat and cooling system. You have a lot of land to do that horizontally. It can be amazing to watch how you approach this task. It will definitely get a lot of viewers who think about this method and cannot decide or don’t know how to. Wish you all the best this new year and tons of new subscribers!
Huge value for geothermal on cooling a shop. Slight help on heat.
The hydronic heat will be stellar!!
Happy New Year Matt! Nothing beats Christmas shopping at Ritchie Bros!
Happy New Year,to you and your lovely wife, looking forward to 2023 with you!❤
Great to see your getting off to a flying start Matt, it’s already new year here in Queensland so wishing you the best for a super productive 2023. Love the longer time of your videos, enjoy every second. You got some great deals.
Happy New year, thanks again for the past year's journey you have had us on! As always you never fail to create the very best in content. best hours I have spent. Mickey
