The good thing about powerdrift two wheeler review is, you guys treat all bikes as same.no matter how big or small tge engine size, you always respect the machine. and more importantly you stick with truethful review than anyone else. thats what i like, and thats what i think everybody like about pd. thank you guys, keep on posting!!! big fan of pd
Thank you Ananthkrishnan :)
Glad to hear comments like these! They are a good redemption every time there is any hindrance in getting access to testing machines especially to let others win the race to be the first to come up with a "comprehensive-world-exclusive-insert-other-fun-clickbaity" privileges :P
Ananthakrishnan V.K. is this the 2017 model
a bike that can do 122 kph and deliver 51 kpl when ridden sanely make a compelling case for itself.
Bought my FI version on 01-10-2016.... The perfect all rounder with an achieved fuel economy of 53 km/l when ridden decently on highways.. Yes u read that right.. 53 km/l and my baby ends at about 49 km/l in heavy bumper to bumper Bangalore city traffic.... The engine s sweet with a rev happy grunt and the top end is flawless... 100 km/h mark comes up in a jiffy... Even after 100, the bikes pulls strongly and touches 120 at sharp 9000 rpm with stock ECU set up.. Throwing the bike into corners is a baby game... The gearbox is on the harder side as compared to Hornet and R15, but gets smooth after the 2nd service, that is after 3000 km... I use Motul 300V 15W50 Factory Line Racing engine oil and premium fuel and baby is an unbeatable crotch rocket... Throttle response is electric and the spins a lot smoother..... Till now, my baby clocked around 4,500 km... Absolute value for money.. The brakes are enough responsive and pulling a stoppie is bread and butter on it.... The only downside I find is the headlight illumination.. Anyway, we can switch to aftermarket headlamps to brighten up the streets, yet the stock eye does the job neatly... It's a total head turner and people ask me about it many times, whether it is a 250 cc or not..Even a kid called it a superbike... :) #GIXXER #LOVE............
Sambaran Chaudhuri any issues with ground clearance?
deepak saluja absolutely no bro...
dude, I'm completely inclined towards buying this bike. It looks and drives pretty badass. The only question I have is whether it is comfortable for short city rides (3-5 Kms) when the pillion is sitting one sided? (my mother). I found no other issue and that's the only thing making me think before buying it.
The bike may be slitely uncmfrtable for moms... may be....
Sambaran Chaudhuri how did u maintained the speed till 3rd service to get 53 kmpl
Lot of appreciation to power drift for reviewing this, just listens to every PD Army's request & as always Sergeant Sagar 'King of Reviewer' love to see you😉.
Bajaj Dominar 400 Launch Alert is coming up next on our channel! But when? Click on the 'bell icon' next to the subscribe button and get notified, don't miss it :)
PowerDrift waiting for it
PowerDrift Thank you!
#PowerDrift I don't wanna see first look.... Pls release the video on full fledged review first on dominer
@Carlton- We can only do that once the media bike is available and for that, we'll have to wait.
@Mukrang, Nishant :)
Those days of powerdrift with the amazing cinematic shots, that inspired me to buy this damn machine right away without second thought 🔥🔥🔥
Mee too....i had r15 in my mind ...but this single review made me attracted ,felt something special about gixxer and bought it ...
5yrs and still counting ...
@@adityanrvarier7406back here again to remember this beauty... ❤... 5 plus yrs of bonding
Really waiting for suzuki to launch a 300/400 cc bike, don't want to go for dominar!
P M Still waiting 😂
@Max Maxim people only go for the looks
Stll waiting 😐
Nice to see the channel evolving. You had started with the classic TV style reviews. Now the reviews are shorter, such as the Himalayan's, there is the longer blockbuster with funny storylines. This succinct video feels fresh too. Keep it up!
Briliant Concept of "Refresh"
Nobody ever thought of doing something like this :)
Hats off Team PD.
Sagar hope you are fine now :)
Now that makes us happy, really happy!
Glad that you guys liked the new concept.
Great review guys. I am owning this bike for past a month plus. let me tell you, if you ride on 4.5k rpm I get 62kmpl which is stunning for me. and right now am on a hill station. and in 1 month I have did my first 2 services. I agree to the break problem. brake does not feel adequate most times. thanks for the review guys. loved to see the machine played hard.
I myself own this bike. Today I completed my 1000 kms ride and gave it for my 1st servicing. My experience so far is good with this bike. Throttle response is great and the bike stability is what I love in this. Even after crossing 100 km/hr speed, my bike doesn't even vibrate a bit, it runs so smooth with no load on the engine. All thanks to the wind tunnel tested aerodynamics it has. I still feel like they could have added an extra 6th gear to push the bike more harder. What I hate about my bike are the brakes, especially the rear brake. I am not at all confident applying sudden brakes and bringing my bike to stand still. As you saw in this video, the rear tyre keeps on drifting side to side when hard brakes are applied and it doesn't feel safe. I met up with an accident due to front disk lock and crashed my bike. I know its my mistake, but I still feel like abs version could have been provided with a higher price tag. When it comes to mileage, I am getting 40 to 45 kmpl as of now. I hope it increases after few servicing. :)
Evin Elias any problems with ground clearance?
Yes bro... if you are carrying a pillion and you head over small peaky humps then the lower part of the bike is going to touch the tip of the hump. The ground clearance is pretty low on this bike.
EVIN bro why ur upset with breaks??? while u having rear disk break breaking performance should improve i guess.... why u sauin so bro??? plz let me know... i was planning to buy one.... thanks in advance
I use the front disc a bit more on this bike .. not sure why.. but I suppose the front brakes feel more secure ... However when I break at 110 or 120 I Apply both the brakes but I think I'm still over doing the front disc more than the rear.. no complaints on the brakes from me but I always feel my gixxer had more power after 120 to cross 140 - 150 speeds on this beauty ...
More power and yea a 6th gear would be nice 😎
@@jalal_uddin_rumi Rear disk is really bad. I mean it gets the job done...it's slows the bike down...but it feels dead numb. No progression... U slow and then u lock the wheel... U hardly feel it's a disk on the rear!
Team PD, Thank you for all you do! One of the crisp reviews and special thanks to Sagar.
best got even better. its the value for money that always surprised me when it comes to gixxer. too early to have bought the gixxer missed the rear discs and the fi now. still a proud owner of the best in class 150cc machine
Thank-you for a Awesome Saturday Morning 😊
awsome yr ....
that why i m a big fan of ur dude ...
coz i love ur way of ur explaination....
and ur reviews r 100% trustable...
and thats y whenever i think to go for new bike the 1st thing is that i see the review of powerdrift on that bike then after i buy ....
guyzz u think this iz too much filmy type lines bt really this guy deserves that .... #i m a big fan of powerdrift .. ;)
There are some common issues for gixxer sf : 1) bike lock issue. Bike may get automatically stopped. 2) front fairing around the head lamp may get crack mark automatically due to misalignment some internal parts underneath of it , 3) poor and thin paint job. Need to take special care 4) unavailabilty of bike wash service at authorized service centre due to Sunday/man power issue / machine not work .use of ariel for washing bike makes it dull in long run 5) refill tyre during servicing without checking existing tyre pressure. They usually refill tyre pressure with 45 in front and 55 in back which much higher than recommended 29psi front and 33 psi back. 6) delayment in bike registration , CF and insurance policy renewal due to man made reasons.
Good Review PD Army... Always love your reviews.!!!
Glad that someone reviews the refreshed machines too.. amzing job PD 😎👌
Hello PowerDrift when you guys are going to upload new video of Suzuki Gixxer SF FI ABS ?
Still that machine roars even with Fi ;D....
Thanks to you guys i'm a proud owner of a baby gixxer in my stable..
you guys never dissapoint us 😍 !!
insane camera work guys ! especially at the corner where it went along with the bike @1.15.
Oooh Sagar has new gear...and this refresh idea is very good, because almost all Indian bikes get refreshed throughout the year...and it's very hard to catch up with those minor changes...great video as usual powerdrift..
In the philippines we only got the Gixxer I Wish The SF Comes Soon... It Looks Like The R15 And Its Less Pricey. Gonna Get This One.
i watch the review of ns earlier. that made me more confused.. i love the fairing but I also love the power of the ns 200.. and as a student i also need the mileage for day to day riding...
I am confused between hornet 160r and gixxer sf....now fi varient of gixxer is came out..i think sf fi will be a great option for me...which one would you guys prefer ..pls give a reply.
Your presentation is much much better than others and pumping.
Gee thanks! Hope you've seen our other Reviews too :)
I hv carburettor version in moto gp paint
Nd i agree with you in terms of braking feel
Its been a month since I've purchased my Gixxer sf fi, and I'm loving it a lot . The best part is its mid range , its pulls like crazy . Like a typical Suzuki GSX . And once you come across it , you will get to know it shares a lot of DNA from its GSXR family .
Indian Harry are you facing any problems like hard gear shifting or false gear indicated on console etc.? please reply bro.. I am planning to buy one...or should I go for carb variant as that one doesn't have any such issues. reply ASAP.. thanks
Go for the Fi variant. It's better on milage, and slightly powerful then the carb one. Yes gear shift at times little bit notchy , but not a big issue after 2 services it's just working fine. I did long rides ( 800km) on it without any trouble.
I'm using carb version of this model ,I think the fuel injection make more power thn carb....loved this vedio & happy bcos first vedio is gixxer's..in PD refresh....blessu wit success👼
Carb is better. FI has slightly better throttle response... very slightly. And it only helps in chokeless start in cold mornings. Once heated you'll find no difference in carb and fi variants. FI maintenance is a hassle. Carb can be easily maintained.
Amazing video guys! :D Specially loved the part where Sarge takes braking to the extreme :D On another note, from totally value for money perspective, isnt rtr200 a better choice? more power, good chassis, even good long term reliability ? ( yes its not faired but costs the same )
Problems with the braking system sorted out right,
Please post a review about the ABS version gixxer.
Always thumbs up for powerdrift.. !
hi sir I have a question, can spark plug effect the fuel efficiency of bike??
because my hornet has jerking problem at 5k rpm and my mechanic changed the spark plug and installed some high power spark plug now the jerking problem is solved but mileage is completely dropped now iam getting only 25kmpl mileage
is it due to spark plug only pls answer
Hi Sagar how r u man, I have become a die hard fan of you, your way of expression and presentation feels to buy the bike whatever you are reviewing. I cant avoid seeing all those PD videos. Nice job
Hello Powerdrift,
plz recommend wether to go for gixxer sf fi or tvs rtr 200 v??. I want to use it for commuting about 50 kms daily in rural areas.
Hi PD team...U guys are awesome...just wanna add a constructive feedback... the absence of choke and a reserve knob could have been covered....for everything else u guys Rock...keep it up
hey guys good review upthere.but i wanted to know which is better gixxer sf coming with abs or apache 200 4v without abs since i was able to get them at same price
Please make a new video of suzuki gixxer sf sp fi abs version.. The grey colored version.. Love these videos.. Editing is top class.
Top channel of India in automobile review.
The post production of this video is so good that the color of bike doesn't look like the way it does for real. I own a GSX-R myself.
I own it since 2 months now....... And now watching this video again gives quite goosebumps and pride of ownership
We wish you many happy miles with the bike Mithilesh!
the pd review more better than others
nice review mostly gived by sagar sir is really really good.
Now looking forward to Benelli 600i refresh!!! 🙃
On the way! #ThankYouForBeingPatientWithUs
PowerDrift Good day guys! 😊
The TNT300 was covered here : ua-cam.com/video/i98gbGklHvY/v-deo.html
Hi .. Can you please review the Gixxer SF FI + ABS Spl edition?
and 3 years later it's felt disappointed that instead of adding more power Suzuki has lowered the bhp in new Gixxer SF 2019 😞
Wow, superb review, Sagar segregated the option n put sf Fi on second position
Good review about pros n cons of bike
Yes Sergeant, the FI is a good variant. Suzuki can put a 4- valve head and oil coolers on this one please. And maybe we are getting the single cylinder motorcycles not the quarter-twin.
Cool Video as always. Waiting for your first impressions on Dominar 400
Thanks Kaushal. Dominar launch alert video coming up real soon!
My heart just broke, when you said that GSXR250 isn't coming to India! :\
Thank you for making my day PD. Loved the video! 😁
Good to know :) don't forget to like and share the video!
Proud owner of gixxer..Everytime I see your gixxer videos gives me goosebump
That's great! Cheers and ride safe :)
unrelated but gixxer sf version with gixxer version with drum brake or read disk brake . I will learn how to ride after getting the bike ,i heard that newbies tend to lock up and skid with rear disk brakes
The one with the rear disc brake is always a safer option. Why don't you head down to the nearest showroom & test ride one?
That should give you a fair idea of what the rear brake bite feels like!
An other cracking video from powerdrit...... Really loved it....
Yay :)
We have more video coming up, stay tuned.
Look nice this Suzuki Gixer SF .May you live along . I ,m from mizoram
Good ol' days when powerdrift brought out awesome videos of smaller bikes.
You guys are just Awesome waiting for you guys to get your hands on the Dominar 400
gixxer sf fi ke is video me break & power ke bar me bataya wo kis bike ke compare me tha ? means achhe nai hai ? gixxer sf fi vs hornet 160 cbs vs fi v2 vs bajaj bikes almost around 100000 all. which one is better?
Either i go for fz fi or gixxer fi which one is .fule effective plz tell
But after dominor price all the options will be option.
sir when i confirmed from the suzuki showroom about the 250cc gixxer sf they told me it will be available buy april after knowing this that it would'nt be available in india i am really sad saved my salry so i could purchase that verison i love this bike 😢😢😢
i wish suzuki brings gixxer's 150cc liquid cooled sibling variant or 250cc full faired racer........both will do good choice to its segment.
well executed....Keep it "PowerDrift Team"... 😉✌️
Thank you Comrade :)
am buying gixxer sf model.....whick bike should i buy....fi version or normal version ? wats d diff between those 2 ?? reply asap plsssssss
Is the footpedal placement a reason for concern as its placed quite low in the FI variant ? Does it touch the ground in corners while turning ?
Again a Awesome Video. Refreshed!!!😉
Thank you Manas. We really hope you guys like the new series :)
Recommended rpm range for suzuki gixxer sf fi abs? Planning to buy, kindly help with initial care to be taken for good performance and economy on long run.. Also how frequent oil change is required for engine and disc? Checks to be done while taking the delivery? Hope i have made a good decision in purchasing this? Any special care for FI?
Superb review !, desperately waiting for Dominar 400 review from Sagar
+rakesh em Thanks and noted sir!
Always the best........Eagerly waiting for Dominar 400 review....
i own a gixxer naked version
I love the looks of gixxer sf by looks
As i have ridden the naked model for 3 yrs i was planng to upgrade it to gixxer sf
Would that b a wise move?
I wanted to get this bike to replace my old one but after watching sagar's review I decided against it.. Thank you +Powerdrift
I had love the way u guyz shoot this
I have been using Gixxer SF Fi Abs for around 8 months now , I seriously need to try with the clip on handle bars. please suggest the best which will suite to the bike, also any other suggestions to make it better looking n riding
if u wanna keep clip ons on it then u need to adjust footpegs to rearset
It's because of PowerDrift I bought the Suzuki Gixxer SF over R15, coz safety is important more than power, as Suzuki Gixxer SF has ABS and I am really happy with the bike. Thank you PowerDrift. Like you, even I feel Suzuki should have offered a more powerful variant or race variant of Gixxer SF.
Aye congratulations on the new bike, comrade! :D
Thanks for replying
Was expecting a big difference in performance stats after this upgrade..... But that price tag is mouth watering.
I have been riding gxxer SF FI for last one month and clocked 1000km..everything is good except headlight beam illumination quality,t oo soft suspension and lack of sixth gear..I am getting 48kmpl on slightly high idle rpm settings though I am nt sure idle rpm is programmable or not.
sir is there any mileage or performance difference between gixxer SF fi and gixxer SF SP edition?
Gixxer fi or r15 is better performance?
without considering money. which is a high performance bike (sorry about my English)😉
Guys.... Please do a comparo between Apache RTR 160, Gixxer Sf and Honda Cb hornet 160!
Please please! oh and a drag race too! :)
And hello Sheldy! :)
bhushith no doubt Gixxer SF will win in terms of top speed.. Hornet will come second ..then RTR
u need to become a gixxer
Gixxer sf fi or r15s?? For which I should go???
Please help!!
I booked Gixxer SF Fi on Jul 15, still no delivery, cust care told there is halt in production.. is the product worth trusting
great review guys,keep it up
Thanks. We really appreciate all the love and support from you guys!
PowerDrift but please can you answer one more question that is the exhaust note of carb variant is more grunty or throtty than FI variant ?
2016 200 duke review is missing in this year by Powerdrift..Duke 200 is a bike which was being prominently ruling the 200 cc segment..A Vedio on duke 200's success would be wonderful..
What should I choose suzuki gixxer sf fi or r15s
Bro first I like ur voice, next ur videos. u really rock it. Keep doing, and am waiting for dominor 400 . 👍
I can tell Sheldy, just like me, still wants the clip ons, rear sets and race sprockets.
Can u tell me which is best btwn R15 AND Gixxer sffi
glad to see u Sagar sir again... hopefully u r fine now...
Can you guys do a dedicated video on Hornet 160 R special edition??
i bought my fi varient today.... now i m going too do some great fun with my cute little baby....
What advantage does the SF faring variant have over the non faring variant? is it more better at high speeds due to the fluidic shape
I am planning to buy the naked gixxer next year so should I buy the carbuerettor version or the FI version, i have heard that you need to keep at least 2 litres of fuel in FI bikes if this true , also heard that FI bikes cannot be serviced by road side mechanics in case of emergency
Fi bikes can definitely be serviced but a carb bike is less hassle!
And yes, there have been cases where the fuel pump malfunctions because of low fuel!
Having said that, the Fi is definitely an improvement over the carb variant!
+PowerDrift so if I keep at least 2 litres of fuel and maintain the bike well , it should be a better option over carbuerettor
I want to buy suzuki gixxer sf... but totally confused with curborator and fi....
plz give me suggestion.
hello sir,
I just wanted to know that....in the Gixxer SF fi abs ,can we add a kick starter....??
122kmph is indeed the top speed of even the carb variant, we had the chance to fiddle wit one of our friends bike, we had just installed a K&N air filter and headed to Kholapur for a ride the bike topped 132 kmph on the highway speedo indicated, it was darn impressive,we had a run for our lifetime and a hard time catching up to it with a pulsar 200 in the begining, pulsar toping out at 136kmph.
the bike can definately do better.
as always an other phenomenal video, thumps up.
Thanks Dheeraj. We hope you've shared the video.
PowerDrift every time you guys reply me i feel im blessed,...of course liked, commented and shared aur kuch chahiye tho bolo.lol
This provides good competition to the R15, Fazer & even the Pulsar 220! But in terms of track focused bike the R15 is the best in this segment! And the SF-FI may bring down its heat on the 220s & Fazers!
Dear PD,one more question, does the exhaust note is less grunty than carb variant of gixxer?
Hi powerdrift,I went to Suzuki showroom and test drive the new gixer SF fi abs.The performance ,stability and braking everything is up to the mark, but I feel the gear shifting is bit of harder side..very hard..After that I was totally confused that either I go for gixer or not!!please tell me sir..even Suzuki's advisor too agreed with my points
sir hello I want to buy this bike but....confused after reading some reviews like hard gear shifting and cheap quality of electronic switches....how can I avoid that
Wht about the gearshift feel in the fi variant?
