Great list! There is actually a horror comedy called "Black Friday" (2021) that involves shoppers turning into zombies/demon monsters and trapping employees in their store and they have to fight their way out. It's streaming on Prime and Freeve and looks hilarious and gory!!
Krampus is my personal favourite! I've made it an annual tradition to watch it around Christmas because it's just so entertaining! Thanks for the recommendations, Sarah. I think I'll try watching P2 and Wind Chill!
Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale is one of my favorite! I think of it as a comedy horror fantasy. I saw it a few years ago. Also, Anna and the apocalypse. Can never go wrong with a horror musical.
😂 I knew P2 was coming, and I love that you like it as much as I do. That movie stars an old friend of my sister's, Rachel Nichols, a very sweet and down to earth girl. I think she primarily works in tv now. The performances definitely elevate this film, and it has great tension, like you said. More of a thriller than a horror. Also, I really like Wind Chill. It's been a long time, I'm gunna have to put that on my holiday watchlist. I remember my mom renting that movie when it came out, and being very pleasantly surprised by it.
Another great one that’s more indie and lower budget but has scenes during Xmas and half the movie set during winter (and even Halloween and thanksgiving scenes too), is I Am Not A Serial Killer from 2016. And it’s on Shudder too! I think it’s a very cozy but cold movie. And more of a thriller than horror but does have horror elements. It was also filmed near me in northern MN! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for something a little different and not a full on Christmas movie! And it’s based off of a book series
30 Days of Night! Not Christmas-y but it's cold and snowy and dark. Watched it once and I can't watch it again. Too scary/gory now for some reason. It just really got to me. Maybe the aspect that it's perpetually dark and there is no escape. Oof...
Thanks!!! I love ATM. I don't remember it being stupid but I haven't seen it in years. I started P2 and didn't finish it. Not because of the movie. It was just late when I watched and I couldn't stay awake anymore. Await Further Instructions was so good. That dead end one sounds really good. Thanks for the recommendations!
The only movie from your list I have not seen yet was Centigrade but will be looking out for it now. I do love P2, Dead End, ATM, Windchill and Await Further Instructions. One of my other favourite Christmas horror movies is The Children.
Wind Chill intrigues me to this day, such an fascinating and eerie movie, i also loved the theory they were discussing, about life being a loop and constantly replaying
you just reminded me of P2 i saw it when it first came out and i will definitely rewatch this season! i don't remember much other than i enjoyed it so it will be fun to rediscover it.
I agree dead end is a strange one,but for me nothing like the classics BLACK CHRISTMAS the original,KTAMPUS,VIOLENT NIGHT,SOMETHING IN THE BARN is a fun one,GREMLINS,
thanks for this list! watching ATM and Wind Chill immediately. last winter I watched Inside 2007/French and LOVED IT. "The plot focuses on a mourning widow on the verge of giving birth, when she is attacked in her home by a mysterious intruder on Christmas Eve." barely christmassy but v. good. a couple good spoops for sure.
You need to mention, I Trapped the Devil 2019 film (it's taken from an episode from The Twilight Zone) & Krampus 2015 starring Toni Collette. Both of these films are excellent films. P2 is another favorite of mine that you mentioned. I Trapped the Devil occurs during the Christmas Season. It has an incredible twist at the ending just like Krampus. Another 2 to add to the list are Fat Man starring Mel Gibson & Violent Night starring David Harbour & A Chiristmas Horror Story starring William Shatner.
A Christmas Horror Story is one of my absolute favorite, and the fact that it in Bailey Downs, the place where the Ginger Snaps take place just add to it.
Not horror, but two of my favorites are Christmas Twister ua-cam.com/video/qQTC0GYl9FE/v-deo.html and Reckless (1995) ua-cam.com/video/uUg76lizbSA/v-deo.html
Not sure if you know these ones. They aren’t popular but I really like them! The children 2008/ witches in the woods 2019. Oh and Frozen 2010 is another!
Great list. I'll check out ATM and Centigrade. My lesser known recommendation is always Silent Night, Bloody Night (not Deadly..Bloody). Has a very chilly feel and it has familiar Christmas music but in a minor key to make it more sorrowful and "off." Really good if you haven't seen it.
Love your videos and all your recommendations also very jealous of your dvd collection lol 😊❤ This is not a holiday movie but just wondering if you've ever seen the movie Stigmata and if so what is your opinion on it? Its one of my all time favourite horror movies and I've seen it multiple times 😊
I can’t believe it, but I’ve watched every single movie on your list! A lot of them were because of your recommendation, so thank you for that! ATM I saw in dvd when it originally came out so no recommendation needed there lol.
I enjoyed Silent Night, though it was pretty bleak in the last act. P2 is underrated. Also, Inside (2007) takes place on Christmas Eve, so does that count as a holiday horror film?? Good list overall! Thanks for the recommendations!!
I've seen them all so to me this is more of a "movies you've (probably) forgotten" video. I forgot a few of these existed and couldn't remember the name of others like dead end.
I've seen them all except Centigrade. Here's a few winter /Christmas horror suggestions... Wendigo(2001) The Last Winter (2006) Hypothermia (2010) Vanishing on 7th Street (2010) Ghostkeeper (1981) Calvaire (2004) Sheitan (2006) Juleblod aka Christmas Blood (2017) Cold Ground (2017) Cold Prey (2006) Cold Prey Ii (2008) Super Dark Times (2017) Candy Land (2022) Mutants (2009) The Chlldren (2008) Frostbitten (2006)
I remember thinking the trailer for Centigrade was neat when it first came out, but I think the pandem kinda put a damper on me going to see it back then tbh
If you can afford Bombas please buy them. They saved my life when I homeless. Without them I wouldn't have feet right now. I am better off now but I still can't afford them but i wish I could so I can help others
ATM is dumb as hell and I love every stupid minute of it
Being 12 when it came out made this bomb
So true!
I remember coming across it because it has Josh Peck in it
I’ve not heard of it maybe I need to watch it this year
😂😂😂😂😂😂 I’ve gotta watch it now!
P2 is really solid and has become an annual watch for me. In the era of remakes, it’s time for its sequel P3
Its really good haha its antertaining I watch fews mounts ago❤
Two yearly rewatches for me will always be Gremlins because it’s so old-timey and Krampus because it’s fun practical effects campy horror!
Someone needs to make an Australian set Christmas horror movie where it’s in the middle of a heatwave 😂
Going to meet the "wacky uncle" who lives in the outback
It could be a Texas chainsaw style telling of the Colt family.
I know! I live in AU, and christmas is so hot, we're all in shorts, sandals, tank tops, no snow😭😭 haha
That would be fun, lol.
As a Finn I definitely recommend Rare Exports as a must see holiday film
Oh that's one that here in USA most people don't know about!🫡
I love it!!!
Came to the comments hoping someone would mention this because I couldn't remember the title!
Great list! There is actually a horror comedy called "Black Friday" (2021) that involves shoppers turning into zombies/demon monsters and trapping employees in their store and they have to fight their way out. It's streaming on Prime and Freeve and looks hilarious and gory!!
And Bruce Campbell is in it!! 😁
Oh, I’ve seen it and completely forgot about it! It’s really fun, I recall
Yes, P2! I watch it every year around Christmas, it's so good!
I'm going to watch Anna and the Apocalypse soon.
Christmas plus zombies is a win-win for me.
Krampus is my personal favourite! I've made it an annual tradition to watch it around Christmas because it's just so entertaining! Thanks for the recommendations, Sarah. I think I'll try watching P2 and Wind Chill!
I watched Thanksgiving in the theater and the stampede scene felt so familiar but I couldn't picture why, then I rewatched Krampus 😂
Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale is one of my favorite! I think of it as a comedy horror fantasy. I saw it a few years ago. Also, Anna and the apocalypse. Can never go wrong with a horror musical.
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and the horror of hosting extended family
It becomes a horror once you become an adult and think about how much Clark had to have paid during that Christmas.
Viewing it from this perspective may be too frightening...
I'm making a holiday horror list, so this is perfect! Also, I hope you consider making a video about books again💗
I’ll be doing an end of year recap of all the books I read!
Krampus is the ultimate for me. Love it ❤
I will be honest. My halloween decorations are still up.
My day off and got popcorn 🍿 was looking for holiday movies to watch at home 🎄 😌🙌🏽 thank you
Frozen (Not the animated Disney one 😂) is similar vibes to Centrigrade (Winter climate, survival)
I love Frozen too! Fun fact it was my first review I ever posted 😬
@ No way? Gotta go back and watch that!
My girlfriend and I love your page. Keep it up !
i just rewatched Wind Chill yesterday and ohgod its always a good rewatch, loved the soundtrack
I love Silent Night! I watched it the year it came out.
Your videos are very cozy and i am very grateful for them ❤
Silent night is so disturbing 😂
I remember watching that when I had covid and it was so shocking
Hope you guys have a great holiday season.
Awesome list good recommendations and cool video Sarah! 🎄
Have you seen Better Watch Out (2016)? Christmas babysitter slasher- very entertaining 🎄❤️

I loved Silent Night (2021)! I thought I was the only one who watched it. 🎄
I love this movie as well! I've made at least 5 people watch it
you just reminded me of P2 i saw it when it first came out and i will definitely rewatch this season! i don't remember much other than i enjoyed it so it will be fun to rediscover it.
I did watch Windchill about 10 years ago and remember that I liked it!

P2 is a Must for me ever since it came out, I love it! ❤
anna and the apocalypse is an underrated gem!
zombies + musicals + british people
I love the idea of it... and much of the actual film... but somewhere along the way, it lost me. It may be time to revisit it.
As you were describing Wind Chill, I immediately thought of Survive The Night.
P2 is my favorite movie of all time
Not horror, but two of my favorites are Christmas Twister ua-cam.com/video/qQTC0GYl9FE/v-deo.html and Reckless (1995) ua-cam.com/video/uUg76lizbSA/v-deo.html

P2 is one of my favorite creepy Christmas movies.
I LOVE SILENT NIGHT!!!! I’m so glad you are talking about it!!!!
Watching the original Black Christmas tonight. It’s on my list every year.

I'll add "Dead Of Winter" (1987).
It begins on New Year's Eve, so I hope that counts, and it has an all star cast.
If you can afford Bombas please buy them. They saved my life when I homeless. Without them I wouldn't have feet right now.

Not sure if this is a "holiday" film, but Frozen (not Elsa) is pretty good. Three people get stuck on a ski lift 🚠
I love your channel 💞
