Not in a heatwave, there is a low budget Aussie slasher with Dee Wallace that's about abortion and consequences that catch up on Christmas. Called Red Christmas It can be watched as either pro-choice, or pro-life, tbh. The lights are cool, reminiscent of Suspiria. Deffo NOT everyone's cup of tea, but the kills were cool, and I enjoyed it. Characters are... interesting.
Great list! There is actually a horror comedy called "Black Friday" (2021) that involves shoppers turning into zombies/demon monsters and trapping employees in their store and they have to fight their way out. It's streaming on Prime and Freeve and looks hilarious and gory!!
I need to watch some of these this year! My favorite is still The Lodge, for one of the most miserable Christmas/New Year's that anyone could ever have lmao
The ending to that movie still haunts me. Really hope the directors of The Lodge actually get to adapt Paul Tremblays book A Head Full Of Ghosts like they plan to. After watching The Lodge, they're one of the very few directors who I can see being able to adapt that book properly.
Krampus is my personal favourite! I've made it an annual tradition to watch it around Christmas because it's just so entertaining! Thanks for the recommendations, Sarah. I think I'll try watching P2 and Wind Chill!
Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale is one of my favorite! I think of it as a comedy horror fantasy. I saw it a few years ago. Also, Anna and the apocalypse. Can never go wrong with a horror musical.
Not sure if you know these ones. They aren’t popular but I really like them! The children 2008/ witches in the woods 2019. Oh and Frozen 2010 is another!
😂 I knew P2 was coming, and I love that you like it as much as I do. That movie stars an old friend of my sister's, Rachel Nichols, a very sweet and down to earth girl. I think she primarily works in tv now. The performances definitely elevate this film, and it has great tension, like you said. More of a thriller than a horror. Also, I really like Wind Chill. It's been a long time, I'm gunna have to put that on my holiday watchlist. I remember my mom renting that movie when it came out, and being very pleasantly surprised by it.
A film I really wnjoy that I don't think anyone else has ever seen is "While she was out" it takes place on christmas eve where a mother goes christmas shopping and is hunted down by a group of punks who are after her because she witnessed a crime they committed. It's really good and suspenseful
Another great one that’s more indie and lower budget but has scenes during Xmas and half the movie set during winter (and even Halloween and thanksgiving scenes too), is I Am Not A Serial Killer from 2016. And it’s on Shudder too! I think it’s a very cozy but cold movie. And more of a thriller than horror but does have horror elements. It was also filmed near me in northern MN! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for something a little different and not a full on Christmas movie! And it’s based off of a book series
you just reminded me of P2 i saw it when it first came out and i will definitely rewatch this season! i don't remember much other than i enjoyed it so it will be fun to rediscover it.
thanks for this list! watching ATM and Wind Chill immediately. last winter I watched Inside 2007/French and LOVED IT. "The plot focuses on a mourning widow on the verge of giving birth, when she is attacked in her home by a mysterious intruder on Christmas Eve." barely christmassy but v. good. a couple good spoops for sure.
Oh my goodness, I forgot Inside takes place during Christmas 😭 one of the few movies I don't think I'll be able to watch twice, I barely watched it the first time lol
Great video, Sarah! You are the reason I ever heard about and watched Wind Chill and P2. There will always be a soft spot in my heart for ATM due to Josh Peck being in it.
The only movie from your list I have not seen yet was Centigrade but will be looking out for it now. I do love P2, Dead End, ATM, Windchill and Await Further Instructions. One of my other favourite Christmas horror movies is The Children.
I surprised myself. I’ve seen all of these movies, but Dead End is probably my favorite on this list. I watch it almost every night to fall asleep. That’s how much I know that movie, I can enjoy with my eyes closed.
I agree dead end is a strange one,but for me nothing like the classics BLACK CHRISTMAS the original,KTAMPUS,VIOLENT NIGHT,SOMETHING IN THE BARN is a fun one,GREMLINS,
My two favourite Christmas horror movies are the original 1974 version of Black Christmas (one of the few horror movies that truly terrify me) & Krampus. I watch them both every Christmas.
Thanks!!! I love ATM. I don't remember it being stupid but I haven't seen it in years. I started P2 and didn't finish it. Not because of the movie. It was just late when I watched and I couldn't stay awake anymore. Await Further Instructions was so good. That dead end one sounds really good. Thanks for the recommendations!
Wind Chill intrigues me to this day, such an fascinating and eerie movie, i also loved the theory they were discussing, about life being a loop and constantly replaying
Yesss I'm watching P2 tonight for the first time with a friend who also is a horror fan! I liked Dead End and Windchill, await further instructions was definitely kind of strange. I will check out ATM at somepoint this season too.
I feel the same about P2. I still have my copy from Blockbuster that I specifically tracked down when they were closing and selling everything lol. Love it. 🎄
I saw this title and came on here literally only hoping you’d mention P2. 😅 (never heard you mention it before either but glad you shout it out often!). I always think of that film anytime I hear “Blue Christmas “. 😅 Dead End too! I need to see that one again. I barely remember it but remember liking it!
Amazing list ! I’m so intrigued by Centigrade. I would also recommend: Kristy 2014; it’s more on the thanksgiving kind of movies but it has some cold snowy scenes so I might fit this too
Thank you for these recommendations 😊 ATM is cool horror flick! P2 and Dead end are on the list of my all time favorite horror movies! Greetings from Serbia. 😊
I thought I was the only one that has ever heard of Windchill. I worked in a mom n pop rental store when it came out on dvd. My boss would pretty much buy every horror movie because they all rented really well. Windchill was unexpected and really good
Dead End was such a weird movie. My family quit watching with me halfway through and I finished it on my own. I have never heard of await further instructions. I’m going to check that one out.
Love your videos and all your recommendations also very jealous of your dvd collection lol 😊❤ This is not a holiday movie but just wondering if you've ever seen the movie Stigmata and if so what is your opinion on it? Its one of my all time favourite horror movies and I've seen it multiple times 😊
Great list. I'll check out ATM and Centigrade. My lesser known recommendation is always Silent Night, Bloody Night (not Deadly..Bloody). Has a very chilly feel and it has familiar Christmas music but in a minor key to make it more sorrowful and "off." Really good if you haven't seen it.
10:20 I think I know exactly what you’re talking about because I am I was way too young when I saw that Film along with jeepers creepers that was one of the things that scared me a horror for such a long time
I enjoyed Silent Night, though it was pretty bleak in the last act. P2 is underrated. Also, Inside (2007) takes place on Christmas Eve, so does that count as a holiday horror film?? Good list overall! Thanks for the recommendations!!
I can’t believe it, but I’ve watched every single movie on your list! A lot of them were because of your recommendation, so thank you for that! ATM I saw in dvd when it originally came out so no recommendation needed there lol.
my pick for "nobody else has watched this" is the children (2008)! i watched it when i was younger on syfy and remembered being really creeped out by it at the time, its set at christmas time in england
P2 is really solid and has become an annual watch for me. In the era of remakes, it’s time for its sequel P3
Its really good haha its antertaining I watch fews mounts ago❤
Yess I’ve always really liked P2, I saw it in theaters
Wait. Shouldn't that be P2-2 ? Lol
Someone needs to make an Australian set Christmas horror movie where it’s in the middle of a heatwave 😂
Going to meet the "wacky uncle" who lives in the outback
It could be a Texas chainsaw style telling of the Colt family.
I know! I live in AU, and christmas is so hot, we're all in shorts, sandals, tank tops, no snow😭😭 haha
That would be fun, lol.
P2 doesn't get enough love! It's so good!
Two yearly rewatches for me will always be Gremlins because it’s so old-timey and Krampus because it’s fun practical effects campy horror!
Wind Chill starring Emily Blunt is such an underrated holiday horror movie.
Yes, P2! I watch it every year around Christmas, it's so good!
As a Finn I definitely recommend Rare Exports as a must see holiday film
Oh that's one that here in USA most people don't know about!🫡
I love it!!!
Came to the comments hoping someone would mention this because I couldn't remember the title!
Or _There's Something in the Barn_ (2023). (Norway's the same as Finland, right? 🤷 My uncle will kill me. 😂)
Ho ho peen 😂
The Advent Calendar (2021) surprised me by how good it was, it was engaging.
Really enjoyed that one. Great, creepy careful what you wish for story similar to stories like The Monkeys Paw.
Have you seen Better Watch Out (2016)? Christmas babysitter slasher- very entertaining 🎄❤️
ATM is dumb as hell and I love every stupid minute of it
Being 12 when it came out made this bomb
So true!
I remember coming across it because it has Josh Peck in it
I’ve not heard of it maybe I need to watch it this year
😂😂😂😂😂😂 I’ve gotta watch it now!
Great list! There is actually a horror comedy called "Black Friday" (2021) that involves shoppers turning into zombies/demon monsters and trapping employees in their store and they have to fight their way out. It's streaming on Prime and Freeve and looks hilarious and gory!!
And Bruce Campbell is in it!! 😁
Oh, I’ve seen it and completely forgot about it! It’s really fun, I recall
Oh god, what a freaking bleak Christmas watch. You are brave 👏
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and the horror of hosting extended family
It becomes a horror once you become an adult and think about how much Clark had to have paid during that Christmas.
Viewing it from this perspective may be too frightening...
Krampus is my personal favourite! I've made it an annual tradition to watch it around Christmas because it's just so entertaining! Thanks for the recommendations, Sarah. I think I'll try watching P2 and Wind Chill!
I watched Thanksgiving in the theater and the stampede scene felt so familiar but I couldn't picture why, then I rewatched Krampus 😂
My day off and got popcorn 🍿 was looking for holiday movies to watch at home 🎄 😌🙌🏽 thank you
I'm going to watch Anna and the Apocalypse soon.
Christmas plus zombies is a win-win for me.
I will be honest. My halloween decorations are still up.
Me too 💀 Usually we take em down on Thanksgiving tho, so not much longer till they're gone lol
@@Zatoka. Im doing the same this thursday.
Krampus is the ultimate for me. Love it ❤
I'm making a holiday horror list, so this is perfect! Also, I hope you consider making a video about books again💗
I’ll be doing an end of year recap of all the books I read!
Your videos are very cozy and i am very grateful for them ❤
I love Silent Night! I watched it the year it came out.
OMG congrats on the Bombas sponsorship I love them!!!
Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale is one of my favorite! I think of it as a comedy horror fantasy. I saw it a few years ago. Also, Anna and the apocalypse. Can never go wrong with a horror musical.
I loved Silent Night (2021)! I thought I was the only one who watched it. 🎄
I love this movie as well! I've made at least 5 people watch it
My girlfriend and I love your page. Keep it up !
I’m loving your hairstyles and outfits these past few videos! You are glowing! And Love these recommendations!
Thank you so much for your list! Haven’t seen a couple of movies, will add them to my own winter and Christmas lists ❤
I've never been so early for an upload! I just finished the 2025 horror video, excited to see what the holiday season brings!
Hope you guys have a great holiday season.
I Trapped the Devil is another great holiday movies I've never heard anyone talk about!!
Not sure if you know these ones. They aren’t popular but I really like them! The children 2008/ witches in the woods 2019. Oh and Frozen 2010 is another!
Awesome list good recommendations and cool video Sarah! 🎄
Frozen (Not the animated Disney one 😂) is similar vibes to Centrigrade (Winter climate, survival)
I love Frozen too! Fun fact it was my first review I ever posted 😬
@ No way? Gotta go back and watch that!
😂 I knew P2 was coming, and I love that you like it as much as I do. That movie stars an old friend of my sister's, Rachel Nichols, a very sweet and down to earth girl. Great list, Sarah! I haven't seen most of these. I needed something new :) Thank you!
i just rewatched Wind Chill yesterday and ohgod its always a good rewatch, loved the soundtrack
I enjoy your videos so much so that even sponsor sections are so entertaining and interesting ❤
Thank you 🥹

The red sweater compliments ur eyes and skin so well

Red Christmas is definitely a movie no one has heard of it has such a wild point of view but still entertaining
Yes! Finally someone mentionedit !! I was hoping this was going to be included in the video lol..
Silent Night was awesome! felt the same sense of dread as when I watched "Melancholia". Great video thank you so much for the recommendation!
you just reminded me of P2 i saw it when it first came out and i will definitely rewatch this season! i don't remember much other than i enjoyed it so it will be fun to rediscover it.

I agree dead end is a strange one,but for me nothing like the classics BLACK CHRISTMAS the original,KTAMPUS,VIOLENT NIGHT,SOMETHING IN THE BARN is a fun one,GREMLINS,
anna and the apocalypse is an underrated gem!
zombies + musicals + british people
I love the idea of it... and much of the actual film... but somewhere along the way, it lost me. It may be time to revisit it.
My two favourite Christmas horror movies are the original 1974 version of Black Christmas (one of the few horror movies that truly terrify me) & Krampus. I watch them both every Christmas.
P2 is my favorite movie of all time
I did watch Windchill about 10 years ago and remember that I liked it!
Can definitely recommend it!
Same with P2, it's pretty good and enjoyable
Silent night is so disturbing 😂
I remember watching that when I had covid and it was so shocking
Thanks!!! I love ATM. I don't remember it being stupid but I haven't seen it in years. I started P2 and didn't finish it. Not because of the movie. It was just late when I watched and I couldn't stay awake anymore. Await Further Instructions was so good. That dead end one sounds really good. Thanks for the recommendations!

I come to your channel every year for recs on holiday horror films, bkth halloween and Crimmis!
Wind Chill intrigues me to this day, such an fascinating and eerie movie, i also loved the theory they were discussing, about life being a loop and constantly replaying
For more Norwegian horror watch the Cold Prey series. It's basically Halloween, but you know, in the snow.
I'll add "Dead Of Winter" (1987).
It begins on New Year's Eve, so I hope that counts, and it has an all star cast.
Sarah, I had to tell you I watched P2 because of you! It was fun!
P2 is a Must for me ever since it came out, I love it! ❤
No Exit (2022) gives trapped in a blizzard, whodunnit thriller/mystery vibes. Plus the guy from Allstate is in it!
my favorite is the original black christmas. i adore that movie with my whole soul
Christmas Bloody Christmas... I enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would
I loveeee P2! I watch it every year! 🎄
Yesss I'm watching P2 tonight for the first time with a friend who also is a horror fan! I liked Dead End and Windchill, await further instructions was definitely kind of strange. I will check out ATM at somepoint this season too.
I watched P2 last night after watching your vid and loved it! I agree so underrated! 🖤
i would like to recomend a spanish film from the 90s, day of the beast, a fantastic christmas theme horror satire.
I hope P2 is on this list. Commenting before I watch.
I absolutely LOVED Silent Night!
Nice to see "Wind Chill" on there.. it's been a sleeper that I watch every Christmas - it never really got the credit it deserved.
I will ALWAYS defend Dead End. That's my kinda horror movie!
Ray Wise is always so excellent.
I feel the same about P2. I still have my copy from Blockbuster that I specifically tracked down when they were closing and selling everything lol. Love it. 🎄

Krampus and Black Christmas74 will always be my xmas holiday horror movies
A Christmas Horror Story (2015) is a great compilation movie. I NEVER see anyone mention it.
Dead End was such a weird movie. My family quit watching with me halfway through and I finished it on my own.
I have never heard of await further instructions. I’m going to check that one out.
I do like this movie and in fact I watched that year
And I love ATM! Lol I watched it when I was a teenager and I still love it
Survive the Night is my favorite Riley Sager book, he committed to the ridiculousness.
Adult Swim Yule Log (2022) is SO undertated starts out slow but it gets so WILD and Scary. I didn't see it on your holiday list either.
You look so pretty! The hair, the red. Suits you so well!
Atm and wind chill are great!! Good choices
Love your videos and all your recommendations also very jealous of your dvd collection lol 😊❤
This is not a holiday movie but just wondering if you've ever seen the movie Stigmata and if so what is your opinion on it? Its one of my all time favourite horror movies and I've seen it multiple times 😊
Thank you for this list. I watched 3 of them (Silent Night, Dead End and P2) but there are still 4 to watch from it. 🙂
