Thanks for putting these out mate, much appreciated. Had a go for them on Seaford beach at the weekend after watching some of your previous videos, nothing doing unfortunately. We took a camping stove, batter, oil and dipping sauces too with us so it had blank written all over it from the start!! Will give it another go at soon. Keep the content coming! All the best, Luke
Morning Luke how’s it going? Was that daylight or night mate? Tonight and tomorrow maybe some of your last chances to get some before the weather changes and messes it all up for us!
@theamputeeangler Cheers for the reply, good thanks... It was at night, we finished around 3.30am at high tide. OK might have to wait till next year now then
@ There’s still been lots coming up still but perhaps you were just unlucky. Hopefully we get another patch of good weather before they go but next week will likely mess it up and they normally take off first or second week in December so will have to keep an eye on it all!
@@mickypful Evening Micky! Thanks for watching and subbing I really appreciate that! M I was meaning to get down that way and throw some jigs about but it just never happened in the end but I definitely will next time and will check out the piers down there they seem to be throwing up a few!
Nice video. On the boat last night and no sign of squid. Have they packed their bags you think or will they be back? Fishing 2 hours up to high tide. Saw lone angler on the beach @ Seaford. Be interested to know how he did if you see this post.
Hi Richard how are you? They’re still here mate, I had a few friends on the shingle one I know had 10+ the other also had a handful. They normally hang around untill the first or second week of December so there’s still time but looking at the weather it’s the next few days and that may well be our lot, certainly from the shore it will be if the wind and rain is as forecast for next week!
Great video again. When do you fish for squid, during a Spring or Neap tide and during the tide run or slack water ? Presume overcast days are better ? Tight Lines. Bob
@@robertpaterson7311 Hey matey. On the boat it really doesn’t seem matter at all to be honest not that I have found, the real close inshore boats may notice a difference but us who fish off abit it doesn’t matter at all. I have had them in all states of the tide to be honest but over slack is also quite productive and makes good use of the time when you’re not moving!
@@DuncanDumbreck Morning mate how are you? Scrubby ground ideally surrounded by sand seems to be the one but you will also find the big ones hanging around sandbanks or wrecks aswell. They are eating anything they can get their hands on currently!
@@willybendit Good morning! Thanks for watching! So rocky scrubby ground ideally covered by sand seems to be the one but sand banks also throw up good squid numbers and sizes and the bigger ones also hang about over wrecks too but they can and do move through anywhere it’s just where they stop is the key. We get loads off steep shingle beaches from the shore too so drifting inside can can also be a winner.
What a great day on the squid 🦑, well done Ben 🦑🦑🦑
@@richardgould240 Cheers Richard, really addictive way of fishing this and I actually get a lot of enjoyment from it!
Thanks for watching!

@@anotherangleUK thank you for watching! Will have a full squid underwater video coming out shortly that should be interesting
Amazing day squiding. Very addictive sport
I actually really enjoy the squidding and as you say find it really addictive!
Good day out, Ben. And the dredger did you a favour - pushing you on to a mark you might otherwise not have given a thought to 😀
Sometimes the unexpected pays off mate!
Crikey Ben you smashed those squid 🦑. As always the underwater footage was awesome. Have you thought about doing catch and cook 🎣🐟🦑
