@@leskingshott2420 Hey Les thanks for watching my stuff 🙏🏻 To be honest there’s a few factors including tide size into that mix and that can affect the swell sizes as can tide direction but anything with an S in it at about 10-12mph for me can be uncomfortable to the point it’s not worth slamming out there in but that said I will go in anything I am comfortable in mate the boat can handle far more than the people inside it most of the time. Other factors I look at are whether the wind and tide will be against or with me on the steam back home too as I don’t mind an uncomfortable ride out if I know that the weathers not getting worse and the ride home is easier and I’m not going to get thrown around at the end of long day!

@@Beng12952 all depends how you fish and rig it mate, the Westin is line through which then has swivels attached either end of the line so it can move freely where as the waterwolf has those solid rings on that metal bar with no swivels so it has a tendency to twist or spin! Lure fishing both stays relatively still but I have found the Westin better for lure work and the Wolf better for baits at anchor personally but I haven’t noticed any difference in footage quality to be honest and fished the same area with both one trip and you couldn’t tell the difference

This was the lower itching stretch mate, it’s a pricey day ticket compared to other areas but it’s well looked after and holds great fish. There’s a website called “FishPal” where you can book it and you want the course ticket mate not the trout or grayling ticket as they’re double the price but naturally you get grayling and browns anyways fishing like this!

@@Beng12952 Hey 👋 So there was some issues that I have personally had in that after a few uses the switch at that top of the camera which is tiny seemingly just wouldn’t turn on anymore and I had to get the camera replaced and had the same happen again. I have though flagged it up and it seems the motherboard internally was moving at times which was the issue and they did have a fix for it and I have since had this camera now for 6 months odd, multiple uses no issues. They also now have another smaller one out that I have yet to try but also doesn’t have any issues I hear so that maybe an option for you. I use the waterwolf too myself but im primarily a boat angler and while you can cast it well enough it would effect the action your lures to much I think if its lures you’re using!

Thanks very much! At least they have a two year warranty so plenty of time for these problems to rear their head I guess. It’s a real shame the Waterwolf 2K wireless is a bit too heavy as that would be so much more convenient than having to pop out the SD card every time. I’m planning to use the camera primarily without lures just to survey the area and see what’s about. The idea of recording a bite doesn’t interest me that much as the footage is a mess during the fight! But I suppose you may not see much if the water is anything short of crystal clear, unless you can attract a fish in front of the camera with a lure.

@ I use it loads on the boat but the finding of grounds is one of the main things I use it for to be honest if I get a bite on camera it’s a bonus for me but is fun when it happens! Like you said though end of the day if there’s an issue then it’s just replaced and all though a pain you’re losing your money unless you lose the camera completely 😅

I’ve decided to buy the Water Wolf 2K and just cast it carefully. It weighs 64g and my Penn travel rod is rated 20-50g but it’s fairly chunky. Fingers crossed!
