You are incredibly right, I’ve been keeping up with that, I believe it was Manga plus the One shot submission stuff from international creators and I think it’s so cool, it’s definitely been fun to see creators from all over create Manga, one that I’ve really liked is Tomahawk Angel
I absolutely loved this video. Series ending are such a mixed bag - sometimes a series are forced to end too soon (example - Time Paradox Ghostwriter…. And the plenty of other series that are victims of Shonen Jump’s axe). And sometimes a series feels like it absolutely drags on too long. While there are some ongoing series that I absolutely love, it is always nice to see a proper ending to a series. Like you said - then I can finally own all of a series that I love and then read it all. While it is sometimes bittersweet to see a series that we love end, it is nice to see where the author wanted the story to go, how they wanted the story to end, and how that ending fits in with the overall series. Plus if an author is dealing with a lot of health issues as they write their story (example - My Hero Academia’s author), then I would rather the story just end so that the author can get the rest and help they need.
I want series to end too. I much prefer a story to come to a natural conclusion under the authors control than be forced by studios or executives to drag it out and it just turns mediocre. Exactly like the point you made about TV shows. Some manga series just need to end, JJK needs to end soon, the story has run its course. There is nothing worse than an asspull thrown in to extend a story beyond where it was naturally heading toward a conclusion. I want One Piece to end because I'd like Oda to be able to finish it. Look at Hunter x Hunter, Berserk, Vagabond etc, series that will probably never have a true conclusion. I also agree with the issue of expense and also the issue of space. We only have so much space and so much money we can dedicate to the past time. I often now look to see if a series is closed ended before committing to physical purchases because I don't want to go 30 to 40 volumes + deep. I don't like dropping things I start even if I don't really enjoy it that much. Kagurabachi is, in my opinion, not very good. It's run of the mill battle shonen, but I'm current with it and read it each week because I don't want to just drop it in case it really turns around. Sakamoto Days I didn't really like for the first 20 to 30 chapters but I really enjoy it now and am fully caught up again, so it makes me thing if I stick with it, maybe put it on the back burner and let a few chapters build up so I can binge a few back to back, I might enjoy it more.

I read manga on my kindle paperwhite it's a small screen but for me it has been great, I love the feeling of immerging into a new world it's the best thing after work, amazing channel the vibe here is so welcoming.

While mha, i'm just not as interested in it as I was when it first started about 8 years ago, but it's still good enough for me to pick up the next volume every few months.
If these series are ending, let’s be serious, your wallet will still be screaming with all the new manga that is coming out 😂 As someone who’s not a major collector, it is great to know that series do have endings. I have only finished a few series and the longest one was Monster, though I did read and love the whole of Y: The Last Man the American comic book series.

I've been thinking about picking up Witch hat atelier, I remember you mentioning it in the cozy manga for the holidays video. Would you recommend it? I'm looking for a more traditional fantasy manga with a cool magic system setting as opposed to let's say Mashle which is an action comedy in a magical world. I'd love to hear your opinion. I think if you are looking for a traditional fantasy adventure series Witch Hat is really good for that, also the magic system is cool to me, especially with it being a manga because they have to draw for spells to manifest/activate and that can create so really beautiful art panels in the series. I'm not current with the series but the handful of volumes that I have read, it reminds me of Early Harry Potter with young kids learning about this magical world. Definitely worth a volume or two pick up to see if the setting and characters work for you.
I don't touch huge Manga nor Anime series like one piece for that reason, huge, no thanks, I do have a life, I do work and money does not come easy. Another rule of thumb, if I don't love it after 5 volumes/episodes I stop and never buy it or watch it again. Save me a lot of money, space and time.
mha should be 200 chapters max, jjk should stop at 200 but it wont. chainsaw man should stopped at first part and so on and on.... demon slayer was a surprise at chapter count.

I actually prefer manga that is ending around 300 chapters. Not too long not too short. And feasible to collect if you want the physical collection

One piece is "ending" yea its the final arc but yea some manga will come and end before One piece really ends.
