- New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave is in line for a huge season in 2024. The NFL has a tradition of third-year wideouts breaking out like Nico Collins, Michael Thomas and many others. Chris Olave can be the next, putting him on pace to reset the WR market in a couple years.

Among qualified WRs (350+ routes), both Olave and Rashid Shaheed ranked top-12 in 'Go Route' rate: I'm optimistic that he'll add nuance to a route tree that has done Chris Olave no favors. I’m saying it now I believe he goes for over 1350 yards in this new scheme I can see kubiak expanding his full route tree and we will see even more explosives from olave .

Its going to be very hard to keep Olave, Shaheed and AT Perry together if they all have career years this season. There just isnt going to be enough money or cap room.
Its not a problem for today, but could be next off-season. Just saying ...
Ahh. I hate the idea of that but I think your right. Olave and Shaheed together is a threat no doubt but i can see them investing more in Olave. Shaheed is my favorite though.

I like Shaheed as well, but I think a lot will depend on A To Perry's numbers this year. If he lights it up as well, I could actually see the Saints consider trade offers for Olave as his contract demands may be out of their realistic price range or ability. Hard to say right now.
I don't like how PLAYERS have to take the blame for POOR OFFENSIVE SCHEMES.

I don't think Olave will set the market. I think his contract will fit in where it's suppose to be. I think it'll be right under Cooper Kupp's contract and just a little more than Devonta Smith. Something of a 25.5 mil a year range. He probably won't demand a massive contract so Shaheed can get paid also. Another reason i believe he won't set a new market.
I think that is exactly his intent to set the market when it's time to negotiate. It's also why I can see the team strongly considering a trade after his third year once numbers are becoming more clear. But we'll see.

Here’s something I didn’t think I’d say. Extend Olave now….trade him for Aiyuk. Trade for Burka from Tennessee. They’ll take peanuts. Extend AK 2 years. Aiyuk is better after the catch. Olave will be special but Aiyuk is a clear #1.
Olave's first two seasons were better than Aiuk's and that was with a poor offensive scheme (and no Deebo/Kittle helping him out). Why swap out Olave for an older WR.
I don't think you can extend Olave after only two years in the league.
We have been down this road with Michael Thomas. Trade Olavae now.
