Track mode gives you 9 levels of traction control adjustable on the fly. The throttle maps are still in the menu but I just leave the preferred throttle map and adjust the TC

@HahrtDood i own a kawasaki z900 with 30k miles and i’ve never had a single issue. Ktm might be a more exciting bike to ride but you get used to anything over time. You can put extra virgin olive oil in a japanese bike and it will still run smooth 😆

Yamaha MT 09 SP near me is 3k additional to MSRP....if you can find one.....not one dealer would sell @ MSRP
@@kirkdunn1379 wow that's crazy..yeah I've notice a lot of bikes are marked up 2-3 k. My advice is to try to find a left over model from 2021, but that's gonna hard to find..I Still have the Gsxr750, 3 years strong with 9600 miles...might just wait till next summer to make a move.. wish u the best brother
Did they ever make an RC890 ? Seems like a perfect bike to make. I wish KTM made more variety of bikes and had color options beside Orange as the main color or orange as an accent color
There's a test mule RC890 that was spotted last year by some of the euro motorcycle mags. Or at least they think its an RC model.
I've an 890R and a Aprilia V4 1100. The 890R isn't to powerful, feels slow next to my 1100. But the 1100 is over kill. The 890 you can just thrash the snot out if it all the time so it's arguably more fun. Frustration isn't fun, and the V4 can be ridden at half revs and still be going warp 9.
My dream bike, OMG, amazing machine! congrats man!
I know for a fact everytime he does a motorcycle review at this parking lot @ 22:40 someone sees him and wonders whos this guy that always comes here with brand new motorcycles all the time?
Should I get the 2022 890 duke r or 2022 street triple rs?? Please help lol
XSR900 vs 890 Duke R ?
Folks, if you're thinking of getting this bike as your first KTM and are looking to swap out the exhaust you gotta take a look/listen to Austin Racing's stuff. The RS 22 exhaust is THE perfect sound to match how mean these bikes look. Nasty!!!
I have the dual RS22s on mine.. super sick. Only took 16 weeks of waiting after dropping $1600 though XD
Ordered them for mine as well
How does it compare to the mt09?
Do you have 2022 KTM RC200 there ? Can you do review on it ? :(
I got this bike and so far I absolutely love it just pure enjoyment
I wonder if the speed is in mph or kph.
What's going on with the wrecked cbr 1000 engine?
OC What kind of pants are you wearing in the camera car footage? I just got my license a few weeks ago and I'm waiting to get my first bike. Super excited to go riding
oh my obsession with the dukes keeps growing, now all i need is the money to buy and sustain such a bike xD
Chase in 3D gang
Yea no quick shifter is one of the reasons I got the mt09sp
I agree R should come with quickshifter+
Im between this bike and the mt09 sp what is your take? I can get a duke 890 now or order a mt09sp but mtn said they don’t know how long itll take mybe 4 months
what type of helmet, jacket and gloves are you wearing? I love the look.
Picking mine up tomorrow! Can't wait!
absolutely should come with a quick shifter base
Just bought this bike and getting delivered next week. Thinking of adding the tech package with include the track pack with quick shifter and bunch of other options. My opinion they should have been included for the price. You don’t buy the “R” version to buy all the extra software
yeah its total BS.....just got mine tonight and they loaded the tech pack in mere minutes.....its just a flash and $700 is ridiculous for 10 min job.....but it is what it is and glad i put it on.......the cruise control will be dtl and done.....
OC. Quick question, does the chaseontwowheels discount work for all Mountain Motorsports or just the ones in north Georgia?
Just like my 390 Duke. Doesn’t like neutral either and I’ve got to do the same exact thing to get it into neutral.
Great video. Next bike : Aprilia RS 660
Since when is driving with headphones legal??
I own a 890R and i absolutely love it! And i find it a bit sad that you where so enthusiastic about the quick shifter up and down on the 790 and on this bike you don't even highlight this awesome feature. I also dont understand why you agreed riding a 890 Duke R without a up & down quick-shifter since its quite unique still in 2022 having an up & down quick shifter on a bike. Why is that Chase?
Also TRACK is the most powerfull mode, not SPORT.
His bike didn't have quickshifter......its an add on feature.....Track mode is as well......you have to pay extra
Track mode gives you 9 levels of traction control adjustable on the fly. The throttle maps are still in the menu but I just leave the preferred throttle map and adjust the
TC
Thanks for your review!
Could you do a Ninja 1000 whatever year available? The latest the better? Thanks
OC: i think pulling the clutch is an integral part of riding a motorcycle… but I’ve heard banging the gears go style amazing and fun.
My 890 came with the track pack and it has a quick shifter
You do get into N when riding at speeds. Wouldn’t be a KTM without that. I’ve owned two KTMs and same thing.
I have issues finding neutral when stopping at a light or stop sign. It always jumps either 1st into 2 or vise versa.
I found if you give it a bit of throttle it will go into N.
How do you not mention the MV Agusta Dragster as a comparison?
Went for a test ride a few months ago and decided to get an MT09 due to the more reasonable pricing. But man... All I can think about is the 890 and i think i will actually get one. The riding is so much more fun because to me it seems more like a Toy than a dangerous Big Bike
When it comes to long term reliability and maintenance, ktm is a headache compared to yammie. It’s a very cool and fun bike, but don’t expect 20k problem free miles 😅
@HahrtDood i own a kawasaki z900 with 30k miles and i’ve never had a single issue. Ktm might be a more exciting bike to ride but you get used to anything over time. You can put extra virgin olive oil in a japanese bike and it will still run smooth 😆
Great video! Love the 890 platform. Which has the most room for taller riders: MT-09 SP, XSR900, Duke 890, Kawasaki Z900/RS?
How does the bike do for long rides of two hours or more? I am thinking about getting one for a daily driver.
Why do you want a 800cc bike as a daily driver
@@manikyum Maneuverability and power in traffic.
@@Joe-629 Unless you're a 400lb tub of lard a 250-350cc bike is more than enough for your requirements
@@manikyum The advice I have received from many cycle drivers is that if you are going on the freeway you need more than a small bike like a 350CC. The torque and horsepower is not there on any thing less than a 650cc. You opinions are noted but not really appreciated. You come across as a prideful jerk. And I don’t need advice from people with that kind of a character flaw.
Awesome Video!! really liked watching it.
Can you please make a video on KTM superduke GT ?
really waiting for it !!!
If you're referring to crank specs. It actually has 121 hp and 73 ft lbs. Off by 10 lol
Chase I got one question which do you like the most mt-07 or 890 duke
It's not the same category mate....mt07 is about 70-75 hp this is about 115-120hp
@@RealOrbit-Australia I know but that doesn't mean you can't like one more than the other
Just started the video… 890 or mt09SP?
Another rhetorical question? LOL! Chase is ALL about his Yammies!
This or MT10? What would you choose?
That's a rhetorical question... Right?
@@troyjollimore4100 Well ... they are the same price (MT10 maybe cheaper) so just wondering
@@windyrun7979 The man is totally smitten with the MT10. Though there’s not many ‘bad’ choices.
