Originally it ran from Lynton to Barnstaple but closed before World War two as it was losing money for the owners. This little part is the first part that has been rebuilt by volunteer enthusiasts.
Of course this railway is run by enthusiastic volunteers and has nothing to do with what the national rail unions are doing, which can only upset so many peoples plans and harm the country's economy. Everyone is finding economic difficulties at present, and most aren't in a position do anything about it. If everyone went on strike what a much bigger mess we would all be in.

Ah sad to hear not so many people want to place orders for Cakes. Must be very difficult for businesses at the moment, especially with Christmas fast approaching! The cafes/restaurants down this way seem to be doing ok at the moment - you know how we two like to eat out - just found a fairly new cafe business in Friday Street, Minehead serving breakfasts between 9 and 11.30 for £8.50 including tea or coffee - superb value and large portions too. Good to hear Yorrie makes you so happy Natalia. All Best wishes to you all. Love from Mike and Val xx
Another enjoyable video. Love the views of the countryside.
It is a lovely area. It will be good to travel further next year.
Thanks for including our new 16mm layout. All credit to the guys in our team of volunteers who have put so much effort into its installation.
It is a very impressive and I was surprised how well it has turned out in such a short time for its construction.
That was nice 😊... I bet you had a ball there ! Where does that Woody Bay narrow track railway go from and to.? I didn't know there was one there 😳😂😊

Great video but wish more progress could be physically shown with more track being added so events like this are worth it!
I understand it will be at last able to start on an extension next year.
So much for that rail strike, eh? Business as usual here!
