There are usually 75,000 bidders on each sale. Thats not a misprint. There are no bargains, only bidders with insane money. if something is worth 5000, it will bring 25-50,000, plus 15% buyer fee. Its not a store. There is no return. They wont help you load. What you buy likely wont crank up and drive home. I have been helping a man who tried that with a truck in WA. Bad engine, high purchase price, 12,000 engine repair bill. I bought one that was shown running in the video. Then it would not start. Bad engine. Cost 4000 to have it hauled home. Then I was lucky and got someone to buy it with the bad motor and didnt lose much. Beware, this video makes it look like a retail lot, its not. Expect to pay tens of thousands, expect bad batteries, rust through, bad engines, bad transmissions and axles, electrical problems, central tire inflation problems, if you need a tire they are 2500+. The local parts store wont have parts and there are no dealers and Stewart Stevenson will send you to Oshkosh and Oshkosh will send you back to S&S. I have the wrecker version of one of these. Run away and fast
Prices are insane on govplanet. Stupid insane. Then they charge like 15% on top of the bid price. Then sales tax. So spending 20,000 turns into 23,000. Then you have to have it hauled. Buyer beware. They are often junk with parts missing and you cant find parts. Titles dont show up for months sometimes and if you leave it on site for 60 days they take it away from you and keep your money. He makes it sound easy, but thats absolute BS. Prices are insane high, again prices are stupid insane high
One thing I like about DED is that they like any 4x4 not just jeeps and Toyotas. I’m kinda tired of almost all are jeeps and Toyotas. I like seeing something other than that.
@@getchasome6230 I’ve always had to be different. I have the most fun in full-size trucks more than the smaller ones. I had a 93 wrangler one time but didn’t like it. Just felt extremely tippy and couldn’t get comfortable in it to try hills or anything like that. Also had a 85 Nissan 4x4 that was a blast it was a beast. With open diffs it would still go where ever you pointed it but it was a ifs and I like the solid axles better. Right now I have a 88 Dodge W150 short bed. Here soon I’ll have some videos of it up but gotta do some work to it first. I gotta completely redo the brakes front and back booster and master and gotta work on my steering as well but when all that’s done I’ll be going to windrock in it for the first time.
Fred I have a challenge for you and Dave I want to see a electric offroad vehicle that can handle mud and crawl some rocks and if anyone can do it it's you guys. Ps I double dog dare you so you gotta do it lol.

My dad had a 42 Ford Willys Army Style in my youth, he was a WW2 Vet, he would scare you the places he could put that little beast, and it only had a 4 cylinder, completely all Army except for the Machine Gun that mounted in the back
Few states allow surplus military vehicles like LMTVs and especially Humvees to be registered for street use. They are sold by the government as Off-Road Only. Most did not have legal emissions or safety equipment when built. Good luck getting these things registered. It may be possible, but what a hassle...
