the one dollar mic sounds surprisingly good for its price, ofc the background noise sucks, but i’ve had much more expensive mics have the same or even more noise
the worst thing abt it for asmr is that it doesn’t dampen any sounds at all, no matter how far from the mic, so whenever jojo puts a trigger item down its loud af lmao

You should do some tests on the mics, like the same triggers on all the different mics to see wich one sounds better on what mic❤❤

I honestly love the RODE microphone. I love the binaural sound, it’s so soothing going from ear to ear
Duuuuude ok so one of my profs is a HUGE microphone geek (this guy has worked with some pretty big names and he’s the most chill dude) and I go back to this video a lot to hear different types of mics. The only Rode mics we have at school are small capsule condensers, but they have custom heads on them that make them sound like Neumanns. (BTW, they’re great piano mics.)
And while I know it’s asking a lot, I’m still going to ask: Jojo, can you please try doing ASMR with a ribbon mic? They have such a special sound, and I think it’d be so interesting to hear ASMR done on one.

Rode NT-1A are the best for me. Blue yeti and zoom come at a close second but I love how you can focus on one ear at the time with the Rodes.
