- This past week I was able to get up to South Bend, Indiana and attend a convention I have always wanted to go to. The Seven Years War Convention has been going on for almost 40 years. This video has a short recap of the games along with the info on how the convention started and what makes it special.

Dr Alex is a really nice guy. He was the one that got my wife and I involved.
We went this year and had a blast! Such great people!
I've been to a couple wargaming conventions, but flat out the 7YWC was the most fun! Looking forward to coming in 2022!
Thanks for sharing. Fascinating period.
Great to see some old friends in the video. It must be 20 years since I last visited the SYWA Convention from the UK. On the three trips I made over there it was always a great weekend.
I’m so sad I couldn’t make it this year. Thanks for the video!
They are correct people just invited us in to join the games. I ask a lot of questions and they enjoy sharing their knowledge. We will be back in 2025.
Looks great, beautiful tables, lovely armies, ships...and woods! 👍
thanks for that, great report
Amazing video my friend! Thank you for posting!
for guys who are deep into the period it would be interesting to learn their favorite rule sets
Bravo! Wonderful review of the convention. I even got to see myself before getting my ass kicked by the French and Indians. I've gone to this convention for nearly 30 years. It is a highlight of my year.
Looks like it was a great time. Hope I can make it to this some day.
great convention
I was there
So I’m understanding. No games of a more modern theme like WW 1 or WW2? But overall great video.
Correct. As they say in the video anytime with a tricorn hat.
What scales are used?

Wish younger players were interested in historicals. I'm afraid that the declining emphasis and support of History programs in colleges around the USA is behind this.... and a lot of other insanity plaguing this country.
South Bend. Mayor Pete.
