I have the same question as fescueFreak: what TYPE of lime? I have some dolomitic lime lying around that I'd LOVE to use, however, it is considered high in magnesium. Are you referring to a specific type of lime?

What type of lime ? Calcitic lime?
If i have an excess Cal and Mag, would gypsum be an option despite it adding more calcium?

dig it out and use it!!!
Why not just add Gypsum. That way you are not adding lime. Add lime and you will have a hard time getting the PH back down.
