Thank you so much, you are so right there is so little information on this software even now a full year after this video. Anyway, I learned stuff here so thanks again and maybe do some more soon.
Can you view live sonar on app? Would be pretty cool if you could hook up iPad via Bluetooth. You could have your iPad/tablet anywhere on boat to view live sonar display.
It doesnt work - hell it wont even allow me to log in - says I have a password - went to their change password email - changed it and it still will not allow me to log in. If the people who wrote this worked for me - heads would roll.
I seen how you updated the units via the app but I heard you say that the waypoints could also be transferred but I’m a little cloudy on that process? Thanks
At this time the waypoints cannot be transferred but hopefully within the next few software updates they will be able to. On a side note, I recently caught a bass in a tournament on a waypoint I created in my garage "prefishing".
I found out after making the video that at this time you cannot upload waypoints from the app. The word is that possibly in a future software update you might be able to.
@High School Fishing Central interesting, so what's the point of the export option, like when you go on the app there's an option to export ur tracks and routes?
I figured out a way to do it, step 1 - place waypoints/tracks in areas u want on lakes, 2 - go to cart view or my data within the app, 3 - I'm on android - click on the export option an you'll have a couple choices ways to export ( also you can select many waypoints or tracks an do this all at once threw my data within the app, just click an hold an than select multiple, I choose exported the gpx file to my email. 4 - Go to pc an use the humminbird pc program, still trying to find a work around from the pc but as of now still looking, but now you have to go to your email an download them to ur pc, the (gpx) files, 5 - plug the SD card into the pc (make sure it's Encrypted ) and from there you'll be able to take the gpx files an turn them into "Humminbird language" than choice the option to upload from - PC to SD an choose "add" than put SD card into finder an from there will be a message on finder to update nav data choose yes.... hopefully that all made sense.m if not I can make a video lol 😆 never made a video before but I can try...
@@johndeman7142 This is good information. That Humminbird PC and gpx files is a pain. I hope they come up with a more streamlined way to do it in the future.
Question, when you mark way points on your tablet and sync with your devices to up load is it stored directly to the graph or to an sd card like a firmware update then to the graph?
Just checked with Humminbird tech support, the app will not upload waypoints directly to any graph. You have to get them on an sd card and do it the old way as before. Kinda defeats the main purpose everyone would want to do with this setup.
@@blainebates1067 I believe once you have the latest software update you will be able to upload the waypoints to an SD card that you put into the unit - then you can upload the waypoints you just put on the card to the graph. That is also how you will be able to do the software updates in the future.
@@highschoolfishingcentral7753 So the way points still need to be uploaded to SD card and then transferred? Like Blaine said this kind of defeats the purpose. If you could video an example of transferring points that would be great. Thanks
@@dancareyb I plan to. I first need to update my Software. Hopefully by next weekend I will have a video showing the waypoints being put onto my graph.
I just bought a Heliex 9 and a new Terrova. I am struggling to see how this will benefit me...I am always leery of companies looking for reocurring revenue streams. I mostly fish the same lake...
If you mainly fish 1 lake then it probably would not benefit you much. I fish at least 20+ bodies of water every year and having this app on my phone is very useful.
@@chadayers9352 Sorry, I thought you were referring to one of your mapping chips. Once you pay for the subscription you should be able to see most lakes in the entire United States. If this is not the case I would contact customer service which is accessible within the app.
This does not work! App comes up that I have not authorized blue tooth. Then they have some goofy tech tell you to totally change personal settings on your phone. Disaster!!!
Excellent video! Finally someone puts out a tutorial on the one boat network. Thank you
You are very welcome.
Yes excellent video.helped me alot..

You're a great instructor.
Thanks, I am a high school science teacher.

Not at this time but perhaps in the future.
Great content, appreciated.🌻
Glad you liked it!
Definitely a good video
Very informative video; thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
How do you change your contour lines… mine say 20,40,60 and nothing in between for the depth

Can you change vessel location to create a navigation from a different starting location?
Great video. Question if I have two Humminbirds doI need two VX cards or will the graphs talk with one another with the One Boat Network.
If you have a Solix or Apex yes. The Helix graphs, even if networked will not share the maps.

Great info thanks..one quick question..I have update 4.30 & its telling me update needed is 2.80 should I update even though it's a lower number?
Yes and you have to do it on a PC after this in the future you can do it via Bluetooth.

It should store on the graph. All waypoints and tracks are on the graph and not on the card.

Do I need to link up my mini Kota ultrex to the app? Is there any value?
It is nice to have the model information on your phone in case you ever need to call customer service..
When I go to maps it just shows preparing chart. I’m I doing something wrong?
