I bought one as well so I could follow John's videos better and not have to worry about how to "translate" the lesson to the images in my alternative decks. It's made a big difference for me.
Thank you John. I've been experimenting with different ways to use the tarot and this "trust your own self" is interesting. I'm also trying to elmiminate confirmation bias so I tried something new on a creative project I'm working on. I'm writing a book about reconnection and there are a handful of people from my hometown who I wanted to call on a trip home but I only had time for 1 or 2 on the 2 night trip. To help decide if I should call any of these people and who to call, I went through the deck face up and assigned one person to three of the cards based on the image and meaning in relation to my relationship with the person. I only assigned 3 of the cards out of entire deck to the people and I drew three random cards and, what do you know, one of them came up that I had assigned to a person. I texted him and he responded right away. The "interview" is tomorrow. The 3 card spread also seemed relevant to expectations for this meeting. A good example of "trust your own self" (and the cards of course!). Your videos are so insightful, thank you!
I really enjoyed your video! I have an important thing coming up, and your video has reinforced "Trust in Own Self". You know you can get paralyzed by self doubt! Thank you so much.
How did you named that: confirmation bea**? I needed that words 😂 I always tell people tò learn at least one divination tool which is allowed to tell you whats hard to hear. This is done by sticking to the tradition. Now I can explain why I say that its to avoid "confirmation bea**"! 😃😍
This video was about trusting yourself, which is a big issue for me. How do you trust yourself?...Just do it. But in some earlier videos, you spoke about something like not assuming or not reading a card based on assumptions. Or confirmation bias. Any advice on how to trust that the idea is coming from the Higher You and not your mind splitting out an idea?
Thank you for this video! I am very confused with the issue of how to turn cards over. Always have been. I turn left to right. You turned top to bottom which reverses the card. Can you please help me to understand the correct method?
Since you ask, think of it this way. Imagine the horizon - sunrise to sunset. If you turn from side to side, you are going from beginning to end or vice versa. Then think of the vertical line between midnight and noon - from darkness and mystery into the light of day. If you turn from bottom to top, you are symbolically bringing darkness, and the possibilities of a new day beginning, into the light. I was taught to turn from bottom to top and that is what I do, but I'm not really reversing anything because I know how Im going to turn the card so I assume that my inner self or whatever it is that shuffles or already knows the answer, is going to set things up so I get the right upright or reversed card.
Thank you. I just purchased my first set of Waite Tarot. This is extremely informative and a great help... 😊

I came to watch the tarot lesson and ended up with a tarot reading that directly applies to my current career status. Thank you John! 🔮💫👏🏾
John, you are a great ambassador for Tarot!

Thank you for another video and sending my best wishes to you and your wife :)
Thank you. That is such a great point about disrupting confirmation bias 🌿
Thank you! 💚
Dear Silvija: I think the word you are looking for in English is BIAS. If this is not what you want, let me know.
