I'm Mexican but I didn't really understand the song. Well I'm in the U.S..... so (ni de aqi ni de alla). We have the influence in the Mexican culture to wear those garments from the middle east because the Spanish forced their religion on the Native peoples. The history is very long and complicated. If you look at the History of the virgin Mary and Juan Diego... you will get part of it.
