Hey Kenny Thanks so very much appreciate your coverage of a Awesome show and I absolutely love the welderup Truck the bullseye on the bed , I would call it the Jesters Throne 👍♥️🤩😎🤪
Nobody will not watch a car video because there is no music, but some will not watch because there was. There was plenty of music here, mostly V8 music. Thumbs up!
thanks, its not that anyone will watch, but some of this music not only not allows monetization, but because of copyright blocks the video in many places if you dont hold a release for the music, luckily here i just dont get a cent, but i osted the edited version with music an that might bring in cents where this wont if any of that made sense kudos to you my friend, thanks for the thumbs up ;),
WOW thank you so much for taking me to a awesome car show in Vegas. Being on the east coast I never get to see stuff like this. I feel like Im here with you. This was such fun. Thanks again.
I'm 60 years old, the Rat phenom isn't just a trend to me, I remember my uncles my Dad and me practically invented the sport back in the day when my uncle owned a junk yard. As a child, my cousins and I would buy about three car model kits and never build the car pictured... we just scavenged the parts and stuck 'em on to make a Rat Rod. Of course, Wiki blabs wrongly that Rat Rods were invented in the early 80's but they're full of it... true Rat Rods were invented in the 60's by the original Rat Fink, Big Daddy Eddy Roth, who I met several times at a couple of shows when I was a kid. My bedroom was plastered with images of the Rat Fink, and I guess I just never lost my love for them. One thing I can say about this show... some people don't have a clue of what "Rat" is... shiny paint and chrome just don't go... those pro street cars are nice, but they shouldn't be allowed at a Rat show. Thanks again for the feed bro, haven't been to a Rat Rod show in decades.
I made a '55 Nomad model with an Allison V12 out of a P-38 Lightning model. Scale wasn't quite correct but it came out nice. Made a tube frame with ball point pen spring working front suspension. This was back in the late-60's,-very early '70's. Today, I'm working on my first 1:1 scale Rat Rod, a one of a kind 1967 International 1 ton dually. You need to go to daviddaveinternational@gmail.com to check it out. I'm also heavily into Ed Roth/Rat Fink. Grew up just over the L.A. County border in Thousand Oaks, California. Go to my gmail....All are welcome but you must act accordingly, otherwise I'll be forced to print out your mail and do horrible things to it!
Yamaha: LOL! That's so kewl... I used many ball point pens, used to make my Gramma so mad! Say, have you ever tried using a black rubber band for a turbo drive belt? How about thread for plug wires? I also used to get Rat Fink models, cut the arm off... and burn a hole in the roof of my models with a stick shift and Rat Fink holding it. Oh, and wads of cotton glued to the back wheels to look like smoke. The only thing I've never had any luck with was making realistic looking rust, any ideas?
My brother and I used to enter these model contests held at Al's Schwinn/Hobby Shop and the T G & Y dime store next door. I tried: "Actual oil in crankcase" by gluing the block halves together with a bit of motor oil inside. I used a cut bobby pin (thanks, Mom!) for a "dipstick". All fine and dandy until the motor oil dissolved the glue and the oil dumped out and onto competitors models on the shelves below! "FLASH!" What an idea! Build all entries with "actual oil in crankcase" and make sure they're above the competition's models! Catch ya on my email....
We drove rough beat up cars & trucks when i was a greasy teenage kid, cause that's all we could afford. i choose to this day to drive a 50 model 5 window rust primer short bed... & it's a bigger chick magnet than any new model vehicles in the parking lots. Coming out of whatever store, often there will be cell phone pictures being taken of it by all ages of women. Many my age of 60+ & they confess that they learned how to drive on the farm in one. First car i drove was a dark green over light green '51 4 door Chevy. Dad told me that Gal Sugar was just as sweet in an old beat up car, as it was a new one. He made me promise to always put my pocket knife in my left pocket when there was a girl sitting close at the drive ins. Ask him why? Said so she don't warp the handle on you're knife son! Much obliged Rodder Files for stirring up such fond memories. They brought strong to mind a couple lines from the late Leonard Cohen song "Never any Good" I'm sorry for my crimes against the moonlight. I didn't think the moon would mind at all. & there were many! -Former Recondo Sgt. "Rock" 82nd Abn. '71-'74 52817
I saw this pop up and seen 39 min and thought eh.. i really dont have 39 min but I thought I will watch a little bit ... 39min 45 sec later here I sit . That was fricken awesome , some of the coolest cars ever, and nice camera work with the ladies by the way ! love it , thanks for sharing.
Thanks man , i know they have been long lately, but i try an share an i share all the good parts lol, thanks for sitting thru , thats why i do it, thanks for commenting ;)
My first car was a 59 Chevy. I should have kept it! Who of known they would be so cool now. Vago's MC at the show I see. I use to run around in a couple of clubs when I was in Florida. I need letters that spell out "TEXACO". I wish I were there. The girls made it fun too.
In Czech republic, there are not cars like this. There are only 3 known hot rods (in whole country) and none of them was build here and they doesn’t look as good as these. It is sad, but there is one positive thing about that. It is that you can be first person building hot rods in Czech republic. It would be awesome to be the first hot rodder of whole country. Hot rods aren’t much known here, and I never met someone interested about hot rods as much as I am, here in Czech republic. I saw real hot rods and their builders in Lidköping, Sweden at Power Big Meet, and it was awesome. I wish to be first Czech hot rodder.
nice vid, if we in england drove any of those rat-rod's on the public street's, they would be impounded, and we would face a hefty fine, you're so lucky over there,
Hi , Paul... many of these rides ARE NOT LEGAL in ANY state here ... some "squeek" by ! obviously most are "trailer queens" and what happens in Vegas , Stays In Vegas. This show is a big thing and "Stupac's tower" , the Stratosphere is , a huge contributor with local taxes and overall crowd draw. My bet is the local cops are fairly lenient for this event and the competitors are held to a limited route on city streets. mark.
Rodder files . Have never seen the likes of those vehicles. That shit is from Mercury , Venus , Mars and past the stars. U rock , bro . I wasn’t There , but u brought it to my i 6s+ F’ ng bombastic. Skin is tingling , No shit.
lol, sure looked like it huh... its a cable bungee jump from the top of the Strat, freaked me out the 1st time i seen it so i had to capture it for the show ;) thank for noticing ;)
I would have appreciated a much closer look at the engine, not in the shade so you could have a good look.. I have heard there were a couple SD-455 Grand Ams, but I have never seen one.
Thank you just trying to capture as many classics as i can everyone deserves to see the beauty and hard work folks do to keep history alive, i try anyway ;)
