Leon is a Beautiful Town | Nicaragua 2023

León, Nicaragua tour in 2023! Come with me to explore the beautiful town of León which I fell in love with during my visit. Nicaragua is known for being an amazing backpacker destination where people from all around the world come to visit for the fun towns and nature activities.
Nearby town I did the adventure sport of volcano boarding down the active volcano, Cerro Negro. Plus León is actually home to the biggest cathedral in all of Central America, the Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary. One thing I highly recommend to do in León is climb to the top of this Cathedral. It only costs $3 and provides incredible views of the main square and surrounding city.
There are also lots of other great things to do in León such as free walking tours daily, the museum of the revolution, hitting up nearby beaches, exploring the markets, and checking out local art! Not to mention an incredible nightlife and food scene here. And this exciting town in Nicaragua is very safe to explore as a solo traveler or in a group! I can't recommend it enough.

It’s very cheap! In this town a hostel bed cost around $10-12/ night and food was extremely inexpensive as well
