I have the 6505 plus and an iron ball special edition I know it's not the same Engl but it has great clean and gain with built in delay and noise gate. Sounds great thru,y mesa 2x12 cab. Both amps sound amazing
@@Worlds_Worst_Guitarist on which Device did you listened to the Video? Of course there are some differences, but with a bit more tweaking you can get them sound pretty close to each other.
@@Worlds_Worst_Guitarist Wow ok, most people are listening through their Mobile Phone. Great that you are doing it with a good pair of Headphones. That's what I'm doing aswell when I listen to Demos and stuff.
You can hear, that Fireball 100 is much more modern. Also it's clean channel doesn't suck. But i have to admit, that have special place in my heart for 5150's (especially for 6505+) so if I were to choose, I would probably pick Peavey:) The wall of mids sounds mighty
bought my fireball 100 last November from the Music Store in Germany for $1300.00...its was wired for 230V but I bought a step up transformer for about $50.00...its a monster...cheers brother!!!
I just got a smolski Powerball and it's got more gain than any other engl I've owned or played. I've had 2 se heads the Powerball 1 and 2,the fireball 60 and 100 and the screamer 50 and this smolski model is insane for thick saturated deathmeal tones. And the clean tone has some good low end and is thick too.ohh and i got the metal master 20 and the smolski is still on top. Only other amps I like as much was a special jsx I played that just sounded way better then any other one for some reason and the king the mi audio gamma. The gamma is a better over all tone amp but this smolski is thick cannibal corpse tone on tap.

@@sweezyjackson4935 I hear that a lot that Engl is higher in price in the US. Here in Germany used prices for the Fireball is around 600-800 Euros, same as for Peaveys. It's not the brand's fault 😉

Slightly the ENGL. Next could be Orange Dual Dark and Mesa dual Recto.
@@gitarspan Oh...no idea how to get my hands on these two Amps 😅
Fireball

Both are phenomenal and I like how you’ve dialed them in. Actually preferred the Peavey a bit more here over the Fireball.

the peaveys sounds great with those engl cabs

From over here, Peavey. But the Fireball with mid boost was kick ass.
@@kg4st yeah the Midboost really brings the Fireball back into the game 😉
The Fireball, all day!! Love ENGL!
