Honestly, I don’t mind the cereal part in Lucky Charms. But if I had the choice between a normal bowl of Lucky Charms and a bowl of just the marshmallows, I’d go for the mallows 😋

If you were trying to get stiff peaks for the oat cereal stuff it doesn’t look like you got them stiff enough which might have been why you had issues

If you've ever seen the site King of Random, they've made pretty much exactly Lucky Charms marshmallows by freeze drying regular marshmallows. So if you can get your hands on a freeze dryer you can make all the marshmallows you want.

you can make oat four by just grinding oats in a blender on high...no flour mill needed
Thats the thing when it comes to baking, you have to be perfect, and precise. I had to learn this the hard way growing up with my self taught mom that did whatever she wanted. I was severly informed again of this when I started taking culinary in highschool. you seem to be pretty good tho so don't sweat it. Anything that requires whiped and stiffed egg whites is considered a pretty hard recipe in my opinion.
