They actually came out as a group in the 1972. They met in Philadelphia in 1966. Recorded music together since the late 60's. Just random tracks, here and there.
I knew Daryl drew wacky cartoons, as they're all over the place in their biography book Dangerous Dances, which came out in late 1984 (maybe 6-8 months after this interview methinks), I had no idea he loved comic books (I would LOVE to know which ones), and I'm not surprised he's a Zippy fan
@@honneybubble1114 INXS is corny. Hall & Oates are the shit. Especially albums like War Babies, Beauty On A Backstreet and Daryl's solo album Sacred Songs.

I feel ya Daryl. I know you're there. I like how Daryl is humble and real in this. And more genuine talkative, like he is trying to make conversation. I wish we could be friends. But I just have to stand in line, and wait my turn.
THIS is the Daryl that I want for myself. Can I have him? Can I just reach back in time, and take him?! This was the year I was 18, and I would have loved to have him as my boyfriend. And since Daryl's heart is for LOVE, and he sings good love songs, then he could teach me about love. Nothing seemed to last that long for me when I was that young, but at least I would have been taught a better way from Daryl, than what I actually experienced back then.

Leon, it was a wonderful show on every Saturday morning in Australia - am not certain but think it was in Sydney & Melbourne. It was on from 1974 till 1987. Donny Sutherland was a very good host as he had an enormous amount of music knowledge & there was plenty of great music. My husband & I both loved the show & watched it almost every week.
They were tired from not just the touring and playing, but all of the press interviews lined-up. They did very well despite the circumstances - thoughtful, accommodating, with such professionalism.
Daryl your hair was amazing!
He had the coolest sideburns also.
Was one of them in coming to America
More impressive than his biceps for sure...
@@daddylongleg9113 I think he still did pretty well for himself.
Johns ain’t bad either!!!
Love Hall & Oates!!! Adoro!!

The first number one record was rich girl back in 1977
Thank you for posting this video of Hall and Oates; I am a big fan and have seen them several times in the US.
Humble duo. Magnificent songs ! Amazing tunes and beat that go with it. All danceable fast and slow. Love them👍💥💫
Love 💘 seeing these interviews. A blast from the past. 😎 💘

Daryl Hall sure was a hunk back in the day…
Those twigs for arms
Consider that it's his 80s-style loose t-shirt with cut-offs style. Those make you appear slimmer and smaller than you really are!
Lois griffin: I’m not coming back for Oates

Maybe but Donny had a great passion for & knowledge of music - the show "Sounds" was great

More muscle mass does not necessarily mean you have more strength (and vice versa)
it's just the angle lol
I doubt he had any issues meeting girls!
Such a weird comment..

boring
