Top work mark, it’s great testing at first fix and finding any leaks as it’s a bummer when you fill up and find a leak and have to start cutting holes in ceilings. The only thing I would watch when testing in an existing system like this is test your primaries and domestic hot and cold separately as you could end up with all the sludge and crap in them old radiators getting into your domestic hot and cold and contaminating your pipe work and fittings.
Right. I am back watching your videos. I have been away passing my ACS. I ordered and received the light with your discount code. Thanks. Great videos as always 👍👍👍
Well done on passing Gary 👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Slr1750 brilliant light. Mine developed a rattle, sent back to Unilite & brand new one sent out... Perfect from Unilite & may buy another at the discounted price Again. Great video again Mark
Thanks mate….. they are worth every penny. Especially when they are half price 😝
Thanks for that Mark. The great thing about this channel is the variety - always something a bit different . Those old rads look about ready for the skip anyway, probably been weeping for years.
Thanks mate…. Never a dull day that’s for sure
Nice work bud have started using air tests on our commercial jobs its the way forward less mess less stress #realworldplumbing#😎👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎😎👍
Nice work Matty 👌🏼👌🏼
Hi Mark, just orederd unilite 1750 already have the 1000 great work lights i do tend to leave it on charger so it does'nt run out half way through a job, also compression fittings under floor they should have got you to remove them but i know your working to there spec also i test all poly plumb to 18bar as per manufactuers instructions and seperate any existing pipework and test at lower pressure, keep up the good work mate.
Great lights ain’t they👍🏼👌🏼
Great detective work finding that leak, good content yet again 👍
Thanks mate
Sorted well done hopefully no more leaks as there is a lot of joints and pipework. Also i like the pressure tester nice bit of kit
Very handy bit of kit
Brilliant job video Mark
It’s definitely a more relaxed atmosphere on that job compared to to the builders job when the plasters were chasing you around 😂
👍👍🤜
Yer always good fun on this builders job👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼
Another informative vid Mark glad I'm just a spread I get to board over mind blowing work like yours and dont have half the headaches you have to deal with on site 😂
Thanks buddy 👍🏼👍🏼
Hi Mark. Big job this one mate. So many pipes going everywhere I know you label them it’s still a lot. Hopefully the rest off the job will be okay. I bought the 1750 last time it was £50. Well worth it. I use it all the time. Thanks for recommending it. Have a good week mate 👍
Cracking light isn’t it….👌🏼👌🏼
It definitely is. Also can’t believe how long it last 👍
Evening Mark. Thumbs up for the SLR1750, i got mine with your discount last time, amazing bit of kit goes everywhere with me. If You're working in poorly lit areas its a godsend! Great work as always 👍. When are Veto giving you hoodies to hand out? 😂
👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hi mark, loved the vid, great work, as always. Quick Q, where did you get your air compressor? I like the look of it
Screwfix buddy 👍🏼👍🏼
8 bar 😱. 1½ working pressure is 4.5bar 😂😂. Well at least you know if the combination valve fails the pipes will hold. Great video and great job.
All is well 👌🏼👌🏼
I thought the same !!,
, I remember plumbing a new build some years back , and we pressure tested speed fit at 8 bar , just as we reached 8 bar a fitting on the top floor blew off , sending a cascade of water all over a joiner who was working on the stairs 😂😂.
Luckily we were obviously at the first fix stage , so no serious damage done
It does say on the John guest packet good for 10 bar max not sure about other brands ? plastic fantastic 😂
Testing the existing system as well to 8 bar is pretty brave! I think ultimate handyman did a test on hep2o and that went to 30+ bar.
Fuck that I'd freak out pressurising an old gravity system, definitely have a waiver for future leaks. Fair play bet that milwaukee pump was screaming
We dry test at 6 bar for mlcp we now only use compression fittings on copper for the test because we have had speed fit caps fail and its amazingly dangerous they leave the pipe like a bullet it went straight through the plasterboard ceiling might be worth reading up on dangers of dry testing cheers mate 😊
I meant to say 8 bar sorry
As long as you test safely it’s all good….. like this👍🏼👍🏼
Great advice it can be very dangerous!
Normally a risk ass and method statement requires empty building for safety reasons when air testing. Seen a few holes in walls on site myself. Think very large air rifle.
@hunterb9273 yep it's lethal certainly wouldn't use speedfit caps you can only warn people some won't listen until one day they wish they did
I love how you had to justify the use of plastic. Every plumber worth their salt always wants to use copper where they can, but in a realistic world, sometimes it’s just not possible. Nothing wrong with plastic. It has its place.
Great deal on the SLR1750. Got mine on the last deal. GREAT bit of kit. 👍
Thanks buddy 👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Hi Mark, another great real world plumbing film there, with problem solving and troubleshooting too, all in a days work for the plumber.
That big job appears to be progressing nicely now, can I ask what is the smaller Unilite called that you have on the bulk head of the van by the side of the SLR 1750? I would like to get one of them. As always, take care, regards, Chris. 👍👍👍
Thanks as always Chris….
The smaller one is the SLR-1450….. another little gem👌🏼👌🏼… don’t forget the 25% off with “MJTIFF” 👍🏼
@@MJTiffPlumbingthat’s great, yep I will use the code, thanks Mark. 🍻👍👍👍
What pump you got there mate ?
It’s the Milwaukee 12v pump👍🏼👍🏼
@MJTiffPlumbing cheers mate 👍
What pipe and fittings are you useing mate
Your lucky just to have 1 small leak, especially connecting to existing pipework, good luck.👍
Yep was very lucky
Great vid mate nice one 👍
Thanks pal
You always mention that you have to "mark up " the pipe runs so you can follow the run, why can't the manufacture put a marker on the pipe or is it to much hassle for you to use a different manufacture say for the flow or cold
Great vids keep up the great work
Easier to just use a pen and write it on….. 👍🏼
Do you not find a coil of hep2o easier? We use hep2o when copper not viable. Easy get in out the job in no time. Great content though 👌
Used to use coils….. prefer lengths now unless it’s a really long 20/30m run
God forbid a fitting flys off at that air pressure 😂
Nothing flys off mate
Plenty of new pipework there. Do the new regs mean you have to lag all the heating pipes? Its a right ballache, (and pointless in my opinion). I don't know anyone who enjoys doing that.
It’s being lagged completely with the insulation that’s going in…. Right pain
8 Bar geez, most push fit is only rated to 10 bar.
What is that little pressurisation unit?,
Edit: found it:
Milwaukee M12BI-0 12V Compact Inflator
Milwaukee pressure pump👍🏼👍🏼
🤘😎🤘
👌🏼👌🏼
All those open ends in the plant room tho ..never a good idea 😮
Not a problem….. they are all covered up before being left….🙄
Just use press fit don’t need to pressure test, only need to for solder
Always good practice to test it all buddy
Buy a hydraulic test pump, you won’t regret it 😊
Got one……👍🏼👍🏼….. prefer this one to be honest👌🏼
About to put a 300l cylinder in next couple of weeks, was thinking a megaflo system ready but theyre quite expensive 😮
They are great
Was told to always pressure test with water….doing it with air can be lethal at that sort of pressure…
That’s why I started with low pressure as per the video
I hate you. Literally bought the 1450 at midday today for £50, using your promotion from 2 months ago. Then I find out I could’ve had the 1750 for the same price… 😢
Get both😉😉
@@MJTiffPlumbing I’m not angry, just disappointed… 😂
4 rads in a bedroom and one in the wardrobe! Either the house is uninsulated or the owners are Lizards. Only joking I understand there might be valid reasons.
There is indeed
Shape shifting reptilians. They are amongst us. I see them nearly every weekend, staggering out of the pub.
Holes in joists mighty close to supporting walls Surprised building inspector allowed it…..building regs state holes drilled through joists must be between 0.07 and 0.25 of the span .
All signed off and done mate…. Not a problem
@@MJTiffPlumbing lucky , could have been pulled up on that ……check your building regs …..must have a not very knowledgeable building inspector ……..checkout the regs yourself, may help in future….our building inspector would have made you move pipes and reinforce joists where the holes are
All that plastic push fit no wonder it's leaking. The architect needs firing.
No leaks on the plastic….. the old copper is the issue buddy….
