That's gold. A troubled life is like muddy water. Be still, and let resistance blow over. I can't argue with that.

This has got to be my favorite video on meditation in general. The combination of explained wisdom with excellent background music all with a perfectly gentle and soothing voice. Absolutely incredible.

Embracing the tranquility of Vulcan sleep, I release the day's tensions. My mind is calm, my body at ease. In the serenity of the night, I find rest and renewal. Live long and prosper in peaceful dreams. 🖖

This is fast becoming my single-most watched video on UA-cam (if it not already). Thank you for this, it is such a concentrated lesson on the best Vulcan has to teach us.

Hello Night Mother! I wanted to first thank you very much for this meditation, it is beautiful and peaceful and well done, and I really enjoy it, it helps me a lot.
That said, I am a fan of 'pop culture' meditations, and I find very few in the Star Trek Line. Yours is easily the best. I wondered if you had ever thought about doing a Betazoid Meditation? They are telepaths too, but while the Vulcan's eschew and control emotions, the Betazoids embrace it. I always thought they did very little to explore and compare these different kinds of telepathy in Trek. Since they've given us almost nothing to work with beyond what the lovely Lwaxanna Troi, Daughter of the 5th House, has to share with us, you could probably do what you wanted with the idea.
Anyway, thank you again and again for this wonderful ASMR Vulcan Meditation. I suffer less in my imagination these days, and a bit less, as time goes on.

Thank you for leaving such a thoughtful comment! I am a star trek fan, but I don't have any plans to make more videos set it the Star Trek unvirerse at the moment. I write down all suggestons for viewers, though, as inspiration for later. (The part about suffering more in our imagination is a quite from Seneca, by the way:)

I've never been one for meditation. Sitting still and trying not to think is just not something I find comfortable or calming.
    HOWEVER...
I do find relaxation and calm in the act of doing. Preferably while multitasking. I listened to this meditation after a shift at work, while cooking up a snack and doing kitchen chores. The calm voice and breathing exercise was a pleasant distraction from the noise and drudgery of kitchen work, and helped to pass the time as well. I was even able to calmly sit and enjoy my soup after all was completed.
Yet again you have taken a clever theme and created something wonderful around it. Nicely done.

@@nightmotherasmr Your content inspires much thinking. Even after the active listening, it resonates in the mind.
Have you got any more Norse tales and folklore stories in the works for any time soon?

Meditation isn't about not trying to think (and it's not even possible to not think anyways) meditation is more about noticing and acknowledging your thoughts without getting entangled in them. You are mentally observing your thoughts from an outside perspective.....a third person perspective rather than first person. And then you just let them pass just like a cloud in the sky.
