The T34 heavy tank is the US tech tree's counterpart to some of the heavier German vehicles in War Thunder. Its armor isn't quite as good, but its armament packs a wallop. Sometimes.

My friend and I were playing Germany once. I'd peeked around the corner and saw a T34 waiting for anyone trying to cross, so I told my friend over Discord: "Careful, there's a T34 around the corner."
He said, "whatever, it's just a T-34."
He ate a T14E3 round through the turret face of his King Tiger and detonated.
My friend said: "That's not a T-34!"

As a current US T34 main, it always helps to see spookston play tanks I use so I can know how to actually use them…
I like the T-34 but I feel like the American heavies peak at the T-32 that’s absolutely my favorite it can be tough in uptiers though because you can fight 8.3 vehicles

The T95 player probably isn't drunk, he had just set the tank to auto-drive and walked the dog, made a sandwich, mowed the lawn and was finishing his taxes when he noticed it colliding with your tank.

I think the T29/30/34 are honestly beautiful. Gargantuan vehicles, but oddly proportional and aesthetically complete and balanced.

nope gun is insanly powerful for 6.7 and 7.0 and the fucking armor ive non penned a T34 and a T29 side armor on the turret with a 1 degree angle in my kind tiger which would instantly kill it but it says nope hit this 1mm weak point on the turret

Spook I think you should check out the Ru-251! It might well be the SECOND best german light vehicle in the game (after the Puma of course lol), and it's my personal favourite and most played vehicle in the entire game (unlocked nearly the entire german tree with it). It would be really nice to see you feature it because I think that it's relatively "unknown" vehicle in the game despite being wery strong and unique. It's basically a better, smaller and faster mini-Leopard 1 at a lower BR that has scouting and goes 80 km/h off-road.
I know it has been uptiered quite a lot recently, but I think it should still be great and worth trying (haven't been playing the game for a while)

I quite enjoy playing this thing, but it is greatly overshadowed by the fear I have when I face them
Also about the T34 American , its frontal plate can be mostly easily penned by vehicles at the similar Br and you can survive a lot more shots by being in an angle like using a Tiger 1, is a very good vehicle but is better used when you have a good position , I can tell you that even fighting Leopard 1's is a very good vehicle even with all that HEAT is coming at you

Hey Spookston, love the vids. You should give the Tam 2ip a try, it’s a pretty agile little tank with DM33 at 9.0, so it seems like a pretty cool little tank.
It also has some extremely goofy armor
It performs better than my leopard 2a4 for me at 10.3
@@AHSArnulfI still use the 2 IP in my German 10.3 lineup since the DM33 is able to reliably pen pretty much every T-72 and Abrams tank with a single well placed hit

I am once again requesting that you play the Italian 90/53 M41. It is killer in CQC and can pen tanks most others can't with its shell (perfect for bullying KV-1s). It is surprisingly survivable if you don't get strafed and is a good TD... when you aren't reloading

The "on the money" comment is absolutely wild to me because it is the same for me! I remember first hearing it in Ace Combat 4 way back when doing a landing and thought it sounded so cool! I'm really happy you're finally branching out to more games, I really liked the videos on GHPC and the one Sprocket video (the Autosave goes brrrrr), and I would love to see you moving onto different types of games. Tbh I mainly follow you for the editing and the funny commentary, moreso than WT itself. I know that variety is basically a death sentence in youtube tho, unfortunately.

This was my favorite tank in my Line up while it was there, so much fun to front pen the mantlet of King Tigers and rack them from the front. Going hull down also made the thing basically invincible. Good times.

Really enjoy watching oddbaws and spooks playing the heavies, would like to try but the grind is not worth it... gg keep it up!
I get consistent one shots with the T34 if I aim for center mass on the enemy tank. Panthers and Tiger I's are one shot most of the time by shots on the upper front plate right on the center or slightly offset to the left or right since it also takes out the driver or radio operator. Its turrets that are inconsistent when the tank has enough crew members on the hull to survive the loss of the turret crew, like with King Tigers if the turret ammo does not detonate. Also, having 3 .50 cals is a huge benefit not just for dealing with CAS and light tanks but also to quickly disable tracks. If I don't one shot a target in close range, I immediately go for their tracks using the MG's to ensure they don't escape until I finish reloading.

The M103 could be seen as the ultimate version of the T34, it boasts the most powerful APBC round and later it got access to the most powerful HEAT-FS round. It's armour was massive and bouncy to deal with kinetic energy rounds at the time but unable to stop HEAT-FS rounds adequately

I found when using the T-34 shooting at places like the upper point of the turret face on the King Tiger will usually miss the crew and detonate the ammo reliably
One of the cool thing I appreciate about Spookston's videos is the little meme he throws at the start of every single one of them.

Spook you bullied a few SU-122-54's but you should get it a shot, they are one of the most fun tank destroyers to play, get a stereoscopic rangefinder and the armor is very spicy if angled. Plus sub 15 second 122mm with heat for king tigers who think their 150mm plate still works and, your favorite, big boy autocannon on top (and pintle mounted) for CAS and light boys. Also she can boogie, and looks like a cheese wedge.
