Cat D6N Bulldozer Pushing Stone

- Here's a quick video of me grading with a Cat D6N bulldozer pushing stone for a new section of highway. My job was to lay the stone down within a tenth or so by feel. A bulldozer with GPS would follow me in a day or so to come back and top the stone and bring it to the correct grade. This machine is a Cat D6N LGP.

Anyone else collect diecast models? I have a shelf filling up with them in my office: amzn.to/2AiB8zg

I like heavy equipment. The operator is a very good skill. Very good sound. Thank you from Japan.
I have such a passion for Diesel and steel can’t wait to play in the sandbox
It's a blast all the way through!
Great operating.
Pro tip: Can you see the blade drop as he pushes into the pile? When pushing out loads hold your blade slightly higher than grade to counter this.
Hell yeah Man!! Glad too see you back making vids again. I myself am finally in the seat for good so i'll be jumping on here with my own stuff some day if it ever stops raining on the west side.
zack ford thanks man! Who are you working for? What do they have you running?
i work for E.T Mackenzie Companies out of Grand Ledge, i ran loader, dozer smooth drum roller and 815 packer the end of last year and now i have a 615C with my name on it.
zack ford nice! Looking forward to some videos!
Nice video man..you got yourself a new subscriber 👍👍👍
Sorry I'm just now responding, youtube never notified me of this comment. Thanks for the watch and thanks for subscribing!
PARABÉMS VOCÊ E UM ÓTIMO OPERADOR .
Обратите внимание, что задний ход быстрее переднего, это не случайно, все бульдозеры для экономии рабочего времени имеют заднюю скорость выше передней
Smooth operating
Thanks man!
thanks man! appreciate it. now life has meaning again lol
+mariano turnquest I got your back
I love N model dozers I just wish they would of kept the finger tip steering.
Very clever for my boss's work. ❤❤❤❤👉🇲🇨🙏🙏
Good Job Bro
Thank you!
Yea do same here in New Zealand, send D7R2 XR in first by feel, touch up behind with a D5K2 LGP GPS behind, and the end with a 140M GPS too precision Finnish grade
Should finish with D5
Greg Linn that’s what I was thinking. Not very good dozer operates
Still hiring I'm bulldozer operator in philippines sir
Open cabs - not in Germany! Nice video!
haha, we are just now going down the princess path of enclosed cabs here in the States! Thanks for the view!
I can't stand a enclosed cab, and I live in Florida where summer temps reach 112 degrees, plus the humidity and reflection heat from the rock I can't stand being inside closed up
Gobierno.. metlatono..loma.. bonita.. reglamento
Easy day for the other day I had 18 trials
Intensity definitely goes up with that many trucks
Hi Nice job . it seems easy when you do it but I expect it needs a lot of skills . May you explain us the joysticks . Thanks.
Dozer is one of the hardest pieces of equipment to learn but it's one of the most fun to run. The stick in my left hand is forward, reverse and turn. The buttons are used to select which gear you are running in. My right hand controls all the blade movements. The stick itself controls up, down, tilt left and tilt right. The "hat" on top of the right stick angles the blade left and right.
Ok . Thanks . My last memories of a dozer are from a Hanomag K12 . With direction at the pedals , two levers on the left for forward/reverse and 1.2.3 gears. One lever (cross) with up/down and tilt blade . The blade angle was doing by clamping on his frame. It was long time ago I was Young and not an ace on this machine. Thanks for your videos .
@@nonokastle8699 the newer dozers have much simpler controls. I couldn't run one of the old ones! Thanks for watching!
Is that what y'all use as base?? And then prime and pave?
Correct, this is our base stone in Michigan
@@DieselandIron is it fairly easy to finish? We use lime rock here in Florida, long as we keep the water in it and a roller beating on it kind of easy to work with
75 south
супер.
E ferramenta de trabalho
no comprendo mi amigo. Hablas ingles?
I'd hire you..Where is this anyway ?
This was in Highland, MI. Thanks for the compliment!
Jesus Christ it’s not a Ferrari bud wtf
My Kubota 95 track skid can do circles around this thing less money more horse power less time
How much you payin for crack these days?
Kubota skid steers are awesome, but a D6N can out push any skid steer made by any manufacturer anywhere. Period.
More horsepower? Seriously? You are on crack.
The kubota has around 90 hp.
The D6N has around 150hp.
Get clean bud. Life is short
No. No it can’t.
I would love to do a push-off video with a D6N vs. your little Kubota CTL. You won't even come close to the amount of material that D6N will push.
What a ridiculous use of materials wasting all that plastic that literally never serve ANY purpose total tax waste
Idiot - the membrane is there to stop the stone being pushed down into the earth, it saves material rather than wasting it.
are you dumb? or just never worked in construction? I'll take it as both.
Robert Harris stick to whatever it is you do, because building freeways is obviously not it.
That plastic is also equivalent to another 6 inches of rock. Maybe you should learn a thing or two before spouting off without knowing wtf you’re talking about.
Peter, have you ever set foot on a jobsite? The textile firms up the base and keeps the stone from being pushed down into the sand. This is pretty standard practice on road jobs due to its effectiveness.
terrible operator, take to long for little amount of gravel, needs to angle blade more.
Instead of shouting your big mouth off critising, show us your video on how it should be done
Terrible might be a bit dramatic Larry. First of all, I didn't have trucks rushing me so the key was to keep the machine moving so the foreman didn't come and bitch. Secondly, I was loading the blade with enough stone that I could push without spinning the tracks on the loose gravel I was tracking over. Let me know if you've got any other armchair tips for me! Thanks for the view!
