It wouldn't surprise me if Cora is doing both. On their debut cover of No Tears Left To Cry. Cora's bridge/breakdown was the thing I remembered the most as she kept the beat going despite clearly singing. I can't tell if she's singing+beatboxing from this video. But I'm defiantly going to try and isolate the samples and find out. I would be willing to bet she is in fact doing both.
Yeah she’s doing both. If u watch her mouth , u can tell she mouths more than just the lyrics. And thats also why there are breaks in her solo instead it being connected as much as when the others take over. And another way I know is when she goes “ peh mind.” Or however u spell it 😂😂
I could listen to any one of them as a favorite artist. But then you put them together and it becomes even better/bigger/ more beautiful. They showcase their individual talents and make different textures together. Super stars. Their stripped down performances are my faves... tho these ladies can move as well as sing.
A fun little detail Cora adds in towards the end of her simultaneous solo/beatbox moment is that as the camera moves from her right to her left, she raises her right eyebrow on one beat, then blinks her left eye on another beat. It has sort of a glitchy robot effect, and we all know how much she likes to look like a robot, with all her pop and lock moves.
Today is Aug. 4th, 2023. I must ask....WHERE ARE THESE BEAUTIFUL SINGERS TODAY????? I watched, a little over a year ago, their version of Killing Me Softly and was floored with their harmonies!!! And it's just been within the last month or two that I've found myself listening to them again because their videos popped up several times. So I've watched what I can find. Sadly, it's the same videos multiple times because I've noticed that all of their videos are at least 1 year to 4 years ago!!! I do know that Hannah left the group and "then there were 4". But has Citizen Queen completely broken up as there doesn't appear to be any new videos of them? I think that sometimes it just takes a bit for people to come around and CQ is just too incredible to disband/disappear!!!! If anyone reples to my comment, I hope it's not bad news because it would be heartbreaking and very disappointing to learn they have decided to go their separate ways. They simply are incredible together!!!
