This is one of the best street food buffets in the world and it only costs around $1! This buffet located near Lumphini Park has a ton of freshly cooked dishes and soups. i think his point was that buffets have lower quality individual food items because they have some many items and spread the quality thin amongst the choices, but a restaurant that specializes in a few items like pad thai would probably be better but that wasnt the case for this buffet

Bangkok in 2023 is quite expensive actually, not like it used to be. Of course you COULD live cheap, same as any big SEA city. But most don't, this comment is for the average joes looking for info.Same same with HCMC/Saigon.

That street buffet looked awesome and for that price, you really got bang for your buck, it looked like. I'd be more into that one than the ritzy one, but if I had the money, I'd eat at the ritzy one just to say I tried it, really. No doubt it's amazing, of course.

I think Pad Thai is ok, but I certainly wouldn't fill up on it at a buffet like that. Pad Thai is just too inexpensive and filling. The food at the first buffet looks great and so does the second. I might try out both this week.
