I believe this another Jim Schultz creation. He's known for the dangerous Goliath course, a church course in Ludington that throws over parking lots, the awesome Fairway to Heaven, Lake Arvesta, and old legendary Leviathan. With every swing of the bat there's either a homerun or a wild swing and a miss.
I played that course over the summer. Totally agree with u it was not fun. Hole 1 is a pretty epic hole with the basket overlooking the river. Hole two was muddy and slick and it took forever to go down the ravine and get back up. It just gets worse from there. I was more exhausted and frustrated than having fun. U missed hole 18 where you throw 200’ up hill and your disc rolls back down the hill another punishing hole. I agree and don’t blame you for walking off. This course sucks to play. I look forward to another one of your videos at a different course.
Right choice to bail. Thanks for the effort with a brutal course. Glad to see note that locals are planning on cleaning it up. Hope you went and found that Kia. Disc production is interesting. Market saturation, supply and demand, competition and profit maximizing are all in play like anything else. DG can be very affordable and also very easy to get carried away with its products. It's great smaller companies and YT'er's are giving it a go to try and break into market. Difficult but great. Keep up the awesome videos. Best on YT.
Hunter, I will tell you, I lose a disc on average, once a month. And I'll re-buy it. I'll also buy a few tour series discs of my favorite players. Even you got me to buy a piwakawaka. Lol. But I love buying and throwing discs. I think the business is fine. Yes, too many new companies. I'll also have to buy your shirt because I love this channel
I appreciate the honest review. I had fun watching even if you didn't have fun on the course. I hope that makes it less awful in the end. We all want ever course to be good but it just isn't that way.
Talk about putting in the work. Can’t criticize your efforts. I don’t buy discs much anymore. The prices are just getting out of my budget. Love playing the game but when you go to say a course like this one you can lose a few. Not being the greatest of players my odds are high. The replacement costs sucks. My new shirt looks great
If you are ever down near Ohio, the toledo area just put in a beautiful course at Maumee Bay State Park. May be a little overrated at its current 4.6 star udisc rating but it really is a gem. Gonna be closed over the winter Nov-Feb though. Recommend it though
As someone who has purchased a used disc from you, thanks for keeping them reasonably priced. I'm so tired of "used" discs being listed for $2 less than retail.
the course is rough and needs to be finished still. definitely technical and it is not for the weak. it does play easier after the first couple of times around. i definitely recommend playing short pad to short pin a couple of times before long to long. bring bright colored discs. stay in the fairways. it is at least 2.5-3 hours to make it around the course. plan on spending extra time if you throw over the side of the bluff or into the left side rough on holes 8,9,10. bring your big boy arm to clear the pond on hole 4 there are 4 layouts to choose from. 2 pad positions and 2 baskets at every hole.
As a course bagger (400+ to date), I will play anything with tees/baskets. Some of them end up being “one & done” courses, not coming back. The walk from 10 to play two holes is RIDICULOUS. The cliffs out there were even worse. The thing I don’t understand about courses like these are, what is your point, rather, who is your audience? Are you expecting the Pro Tour to be stopping by (not realistic)? You’re in BF Egypt so why are you building a course not appropriate for your average hucker?
I have no idea, I think it may be people from the city or people in general designing courses that do not understand much about the game. I have that same thought often. 400 under your belt is very impressive
I think the more disc golf grows, the more people buy beginner level discs, the more people start playing and stick with it and become more advanced, the more they will buy more unique discs, or I guess advanced level discs. A disc I think that will eventually will fail in the market is stable drivers. Not enough people care about have a driver that just meat hooks, everyone wants understable discs unless you have 400+ ft of power to make a stable driver usable. Companies should chill out at pumping out new stuff, I think they should focus on pumping out what’s popular and selling.

Oh I didn't know that! I know him well, but yea, Goliath is the worst course layout I've ever seen!

Well said! I am glad you still got some enjoyment out of it!
Thanks for the review. I'll probably try it, but good to know it's a pain.
Good luck out there!

Thank you so much for your order! Yea it's crazy what it can cost to try out a few new discs!

I appreciate that! I keep them as cheap as I possibly can because I am in the same boat!
Thanks for the upload
How you enjoyed it!
@@tossingplastic I did. Also just placed an order on the website. Good variety of discs. At a decent price too.

That's a fair take but the stable/overstable drivers are what the pros throw so I think those will always be popular!
Tough course!
sure was!
I personally think they are putting out way too many new plastic types. It really isn't possible to buy new discs constantly.
I definitely couldn't afford to!
I played this last summer. Almost had to carry my father-in-law out.... THE worst course I've ever played
I believe that man! Unnecessarily punishing
