    This morning UA-cam dumped a bunch of crap channels in my "Recommended" area, some on topics of which I never ever showed the slightest interest. But among this inundation of digital slop and swill I glimpsed a hidden treasure - a thumbnail of this painting. I had clicked off the YT opening page in following some rabbit trail, but was able to retrace my steps and find you again. What a great joy and delight this video is!!! I'm so surprised I never stumbled onto your channel before. Not only do you have a style that I resonate with in my paintings - but you seem to have the same relaxed attitude toward the process that I do! I don't care either if I don't exactly and realistically paint in light areas to accurately depict them, if I like the way something looks, that's what's important to me. I use rags sometimes to block in the sky, plastic pot scrubbers to make bushes, Qtips to highlight the side of trees. Even the way you casually move your brush around, is what I do. Love your process. Love your finished work!!!!
    I've found the YT artist I'm most attuned to. Please keep the demos coming. A big thank you from upstate New York.

    Justin, you are a blessing. Please keep on doing what you're doing and keep up the great work. Years ago I followed an artist on Channel 10 called Bill Alexander and then Bob Ross. I have been addicted to painting ever since. I am so happy and proud that new young artists like you continue to learn and carry on the legacy of these two innovative art pioneers. Thank you for sharing your talent.

    Justin,seeing you are a lefty, like my daughter,can you put the camera over your left shoulder next time. Got some glare from over the right shoulder,..but not much. It would be much easier to see what your doing on the pallet with the paints 👍👍👍 great painting man

    Doggone you, brother EVERY TIME I try to outdo you (in a contest you didn’t even know you were in lol), you gotta do another one, but this time with even more atmospheric conditions & realism... ahh, who am I kiddin? You freakin rock... keep on wid it, my brotha with the utha cullas! I.e. Nice job & thanks fer makin me lose at my own contest! (All in fun). I sure wish I could get the speed, too. I ALWAYS over think & get nitpicky, which is maybe the hardest thing to get over!
    Keep em comin!

    Wow man! I love watching you paint dude. You're just incredible! I've been trying to paint. I have all the brushes, paint, easel & palette but I don't know if I'm using too much liquid white or not enough & maybe I'm using too much paint on my brushes - I don't know. I've done a couple that are ok but just can't seem to get it where I want it. I can draw anything I look at & am just getting frustrated. Any suggestions ?? Anyways I really dig your channel & you're just incredible man! Keep doing the good stuff!🤘😁🤘

Just saying thanks Justin for the motivation tonight. I moved 3000 miles from where I grew up and landed here in Florida. Guess I'm ready to get back to making something as you said. thanks again, Debby Moore 2022

    I am new to painting and have only done one painting which I hated, so I covered over it, put down my paints and haven't painted since! I'm now in that rut of just looking at the canvas. Your picture is beautiful and If I had your talent I don't think I would have a problem coming up with something to paint.

    • @PaintingsbyJustin
      @PaintingsbyJustin  5 років тому +3

      You can do it !! Take your canvas and put a blue background in , then add a few clouds. After that make a closeup oak tree or pine tree and focus only on that tree. That’s what I do sometimes and it totally works !

    The different colors show up you can even see the hints of blue in your dark colors. I really like the mountains color. It’s cold here, probably not as cold where you live, and it’s nice to see other colors besides snow. It’s gives options other than white. It’s a beautiful painting. Thank you Kathy
