I always wondered how you could have the motivation to clean houses like this, when I don't even have the motivation to clean my room. I struggle with doing the cleaning (especially dishes and laundry). Watching Auri has really helped me! First, I figured out I had to get rid of the excess (dishes, towels, clothes). Second, I figured out I have to just start without thinking first. If i think about it, my brain is going to tell me do it later. My home isn't perfect, but it's so much better! Nordic bathrooms (and living accomodations in general) really are a thing of immense utility. Two things I miss from living in Scandinavia now that I'm back in the US are bathrooms like you see in Auri's videos and dryer cabinets! I'd never even heard of a dryer cabinet before moving to Scandinavia and now I know wherever I decide to build a house that a dryer cabinet will be part of that house 100% even if I'm still in the US.

Hi Auri - I watch you from Western Australia and love your videos. Here is a tip in case you didn't know.... You can unclip the two hinges of the oven door to easily lift it off the oven for cleaning at the kitchen sink - also allows better access to the inside of the stove for cleaning. I take all the racks out and spray them - then put them inside a garbage bag and seal it overnight, then scrub them in the shower the next day.

YES! That was the best discovery ever, made cleaning the floor so much easier. It’s wicked frustrating to sweep dog and cat fur, it just goes airborne and relocates somewhere else. The squeegee holds the fur in a ball and it doesn’t fly around. I don’t know the science of it-guessing static might be the culprit-but it changed my cleaning routine and shaved off time and frustration. I want to foster dogs as well once I m settled in my new home, dogs are proof God loves us, that’s why we use the same three letters in God and dog. I felt gutted when my mom passed away suddenly, and I completely understand what you mean with every day feeling like a struggle. I don’t have a fool proof method to get that feeling gone, hell I couldn’t figure out how to even lessen it for months. It does improve with time(which you’re most likely sick of hearing like I was), I slowly learned how to incorporate her memory into my life and actions in a way that makes me smile most of the time with an ugly, blubbering crying session every so often. Hang in there, you’re obviously a very good person judging by your honesty and kindness in your comment and this world is running short on people like you.

Little tip for those dings on the Stove. White Nail Polish. Dab on a couple of coats, let dry. Repeat if needed. It disguises the missing enamel. Not perfect, but better than it was. 😊

What a great idea. I've been using "White Out", but fingernail polish may work better.

Wow as always simply amazing! I am curious though: 1. How come there are no bugs, cockroaches etc. running around among the trash and 2. How does Aurikatariina manages to keep her hands so beautiful? I love that she is so kind and maybe for all of us an idea how to help those who struggle. Lovely to see how many people are following and watching.

It is Finland, it is much too cold for many of those bugs to survive all year. There is actually an issue that worries people, now that climate change is becoming very appearant in the North: Some bugs and insects that previously didn't live in the Nordic countries, because they couldn't survive the winters, have started to be able to do so.

What sagaincolours said.... But this was summer, a bit weird that it was not even a single fruit fly in sight... In Norway, the fruit flies comes after just a few days in the summer heat...

Maybe auri goes through with a fruit fly and insect hoover like some scene out of ghost busters before filming 🤣

I think these people quite honestly don't have any "fresh" enough fruits etc for the fruit flies to feast on. It seems like most of these people live on ready meals.

Auri, thanks to you I moved forward. I am dealing with depression since 2013 and sometimes it's hard for me to cook or clean. I'm doing my best, but I am very lonely in it. With you I feel like I am not alone anymore! Thank you. 😭💕🌷
