I mean I listen to alot of sermons and messages and studies, but there's something about his style and the way he deeply but yet simply explains scripture is annoting. Praise be to Jesus and the holy spirit for using him. GOD IS GOOD. Will listen to all his sermons.

@@nancyhowell4505 The idea of "anointing" is found in the Old Testament. When God chose David to be the next king of Israel, God sent the prophet Samuel to anoint David with oil, signifying that David was God's choice as the next king.
The utensils that were used in the Temple in Jerusalem were anointed with oil and set apart for exclusive use in the service of God in the Temple. They were not to be used was common utensils for everyday living, but were set apart for special usage in God's service.
Anointing can also mean the literal application of oil for healing purposes, or too pray for physical healing.
The idea of anointing also carries with it the idea of something that is chosen or authenticated by God. We might speak of a pastor having an anointing from God, which simply means that he has clearly been chosen by God and that there is noticeable evidence of that the people hear him teach.
      Hope that this helps! Blessings!

Last night at around midnight I decided to read the first chapter of James and afterwards I read your commentary on the first chapter. I felt peace after studying Gods word and went to sleep. Hi Rose,
We are all unworthy to come before God because of our sins, but Jesus paid for our sins, and his righteousness was credited to us. God sees us as holy because we are "in Christ".
      Ephesians 1:6 tells us...
to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
So God accepts us because we are in Christ, and Christ is in us. God sees us as having the righteousness of Jesus. That gives us confidence to ask freely, to pray freely.
      I hope that this helps.

Meanwhile I truly believe that James stands closer to the source /well: I mean "faith is unimaginable without actions"
1st because the Word himself became flesh
2nd because we are Royal Priesthood to be the representer of the active kingdom.

This Epistle is called Catholic or [meaning] Universal, as formerly were also the two Epistles of St. Peter, the first of St. John and that of St. Jude, because they were not written to any peculiar people or particular person, but to the faithful in general. It was written by the apostle St. James, called the Less, who was also called the brother of our Lord, being his kinsman (for cousins german with the Hebrews were called brothers). He was the first Bishop of Jerusalem. In this Epistle are set forth many precepts appertaining to faith and morals; particularly, that faith without good works will not save a man and that true wisdom is given only from above. In the fifth chapter he publishes the sacrament of anointing the sick. It was written a short time before his martyrdom, about twenty-eight years after our Lord's Ascension.

Thanks for this teaching... Just one problem: why do you say that there's half brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ, our Catholic faith says Our Lord didn't have brothers or sisters. They were to have been younger than Our Lord, so how do you explain a straightforward statement that Our Lord made on the cross, " Behold, your mother." And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home. John 19:27, I won't add v28 " after this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled...Being Jewish, with grown sons and daughters, it would have been an insult to "give" your mother to a stranger. I prefer not to take straight forward verses and give them other meanings.its easy to distort history/ traditions, but we all agree that the Word of God will never change, in fact it's God breathed.
