An Introduction To John's Revelation l Voddie Baucham
Revelation 1:1-20:
The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.
Greeting to the Seven Churches
4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia:
Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth.
To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood 6 and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Vision of the Son of Man
9 I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet 11 saying, “Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”
12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, 15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.
17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades. 19 Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this. 20 As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

Yah, I have done 5 in-depth studies of Revelations. There is no absolute teaching on the when of the church being ruptured. There are Christians in heaven during the judgments. There are martyrs crying out from under the altar during the judgments for justice. Taken togethor with other books in the NT I think its safer to believe the rapture is before vs middle or after the trib. I love the passion about it here though!! Amen to that!

@@gfbc1689 I don't see how you can say that so unequivocally. Many solid Godly men teach that we will be RAPTURED. Men that teach and preach at the same podium as VB does in many conferences around the world. MacArthur and Sproul, two men who have blessed many and brought many to the truth of sound Biblical theology, differed on several things, like baptism and eschatology - but they loved and respected each other. That's how I see it. I don't agree with some of the points made in this teaching, but overall I know VB is solid and I consider him someone I know to be a Godly man.

At Calvery Chapel Wednesday nights, we are in the OT. And Sunday's N.T. Bible Studies are done in both books ! We used to have Psalms with Sam on every 3rd Wednesday every month. And now we are on Proverbs every 3rd Wedmesday night, and then back to the O.T. Well balanced Bible teaching book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, precept by precept, repeat !!!

I greatly appreciate Voddie Baucham's sermons and books. One question I would ask if possible, is to clarify a distinction between the persecution of the Church by the world, and God pouring out His Wrath and Judgment. Christians are not spared from persecution, this is true. But believer's are spared from God's Wrath. These two things are different, even in Revelation. At what point is Revelation about persecution and what point is it God's Wrath?

I was going through the Bible last year, but got kind of delayed so I am barely in Revelation ch.5, studying not just reading.I am also finishing up a study on Daniel one through six. We will finish chapter 7 till the end in the fall. Just found this video by Voddie. God is good and answers my prayer for guidance 🙏🏼God is sovereign Amen 🌸

Several years ago I listened to Dr. Baucham's series of Revelation I found on web. So excited to see it offered on YT. I started a personal study about 3 weeks ago on this book through the pen of John Gill (1697-1771). I agree with Dr. Baucham's point about the rapture that is mostly taught in all churched today. The rapture does not belong in end time discussions. And, after learning that the "rapture" discussion came out of the head of a young girl around the year of 1830 and taken by John Darby to be prophesy, I knew something had gone wrong here. In any case, my study through the writing of John Gill have been interesting and very reasonable. John Gill does use historical references, hebrew language and Old Testament references to determine his body work. I certainly appreciate that depth of research. After listening for many years to Dr. Baucham, I know he also offers that depth of knowledge as well. Needless to say, I am looking forward to all these discussions on Revelation. I agreed with what he interpreted on Revelation a few years ago. I am sure his perspective will not disappoint this time either. Thank you Dr. Baucham for sharing again. We need this right now!

of course saints aren't spared from trouble and trials and tribulation in the world right now, today. But what is coming in The Tribulation is more than the persecutions and pains and toil of this life on this fallen earth. What is coming is the Wrath of a Holy God - supernatural unheard of before events that can only be explained as manifestations of His anger toward sinners. THAT is what we, as born again believers, do not have to fear. Jesus took all of that for us on the cross. Those who have rejected Him and His Mercy and Grace will feel the full force of it and STILL be stiff-necked and rebellious. I am thankful for the Blessed Hope of being spared that final horrific full force of His unbridled Wrath.

1 Thess 4:16-18 is fufilled in Rev 10. Look at Heb 1:3 then using this interpret Rev 4:3 and apply in Rev 10
If the church is gone,who is God talking to in the rest of the book? No more Christians left, no one reading it.

It is not John 's revelation. The book says in the first chapter, it is the revelation of Jesus Christ
I always enjoy this Brothers teaching. I like what i'm hearing until I got to the point where he said: "It's not a puzzle book but a picture book. I have to disagree with that. The book is full of symbolism. And you have to use your whole Bible to interpret the symbolism.
The Bible is full of pieces of the puzzle. And you have to bring pieces of the puzzle from other books of the Bible and put them together. For example: The word beast. Instead of drawing a conclusion that it means Anti christ. You use the scripture to find the symbolic meaning of the word beast. Daniel 7:23 Tells us clearly that the word beast means kingdom. Revelation 13:1 Is john saw a kingdom rising from the sea. The word sea is another piece of the puzzle.
Revelation 17:15 The waters that you saw john represent people from all over the world. So what john saw was people from all over the world representing one kingdom.
It’s Jesus’s revelation.
Enjoy listening to Voddie. I'm not trinatarian though. I believe God, the Father in the O.T. is the same as God, the Son in the N.T. They both claim to be the I AM and the Alpha & Omega. Also, ISAIAH 9:6, gives some titles of Jesus CHRIST. They are THE MIGHTY GOD, and not a MIGHTY God. THE EVERY LASTING FATHER. I believe in 1 God, who has 3 roles/titles, but not 3 dieties/persons. Kind of like water can be in the form of a solid, liquid or gas, but can all be from the same water. 🙏🤔

I love Voddie’s preaching but I have to disagree with him on a lot of his take on Revelation. Like the 144,000? Where does he get the 12x12x1,000? It literally says 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes, so where does he get his equation? And if I missed him explaining it, that still doesn’t mean he’s correct. He would be the only one out of hundreds of pastors that I know of that believe that. What’s the odds he’s correct and all of them are wrong?
I wish you would read from the KJV.... It's hard to follow along with your other version. They do not seem to say the same thing in many places.
Especially in the book of Revelation you will see some of the greatest variations other than 1 John. They didn't have a Greek manuscript to translate out of for the book when they were creating the Greek manuscripts that were using for the texts used to create the KJV.
Danial Wallace writes:
" In the last six verses of Revelation, Erasmus had no Greek manuscript (=MS) (he only used half a dozen, very late MSS for the whole New Testament any way). He was therefore forced to ‘back-translate’ the Latin into Greek and by so doing he created seventeen variants which have never been found in any other Greek MS of Revelation! He merely guessed at what the Greek might have been."

The Lord God Almighty Jesus will severely judge all pastors who did not preach Revelation, Psalm, Proverbs in their fullness to help every believer to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord God Almighty Jehovah Father ,son the Lord Jesus, and the Lord Holy Spirit. The Lord does say that he will severely judge all pastors that did not serve well the Lord God Almighty Jesus by chastising God's people, so that all walked in the fear of the Lord God Almighty Jesus. This is what our Creator GOD wants to be like but as this pastor said....pastors do not want to preach the book of Revelation. This is a very huge problem and I pray that all pastors start to preaching all these and tell people to FEAR the Lord God Almighty Jesus because he will judge them for NOT obeying the Lord God Almighty Jesus.
Apostle John wrote the Revelation of Jesus Christ to the churches, during the dispensation of grace (salvation by grace through faith in the sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ).
Daniel wrote the rest of the revelation of the 70 week years of Israel, to their return to the promised land. He didn't understand the prophecy of a suffering Messiah, so he was told to shut the book Daniel 12:4; was to rest until the end. The book was in the hand of God Revelation 5. The Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world, for the sin of man, which was given up again at the end of sin, to redeem man, took the book opened the seals Revelation 6, and Jesus Christ opened the first of the three parts of Isaiah 61:2, after He was infilled with the Holy Spirit, declared to be the only Begotten Son of God, like Adam was, Luke 3:38; Matthew 3:17; Luke 4:17-18, and then shut it, to be fulfilled in John 19:30.
This grace period is characterized by preaching the "acceptable year of the Lord ", after which " the year of vengeance of our God " will be ushered in during the tribulation. Then, the millennium will be the culmination, where man will live out the 1000 years curse, while Satan is bound. Then he will be released again as in Eden. Then the final judgement.
John was called up to God and the same call got Daniel up from his rest, to continue the prophecy he couldn't understand then, but now had been fulfilled. That is why the imagery in both books look similar.

🔥Olde English writing how they write "100 and 20" as 120 modernly, this style applies here. It's just saying "GOD, His FATHER"🔥

🔥People have been reading this chapter out of context for so long. It is clear when broken down. "I am the first and the last" for YAH is ALPHA AND OMEGA, was, is and to come (always existed). And for Yashua, "Father like Son", His
"first and last" is reflection (Image) being He is the First begotten Son of YAH, and the last. YAH always existed, Yashua was created IN THE BEGINNING, THE FIRST CREATION.

[The Greek transliteration shows "by" is our word👉🏾Through👈🏿 not how we use by today. This has thrown people off to think Christ is the CREATOR, when He is the Mediator of all things that came into the world FROM TMH, and all things that will return to TMH must go through Him ]
NOW IT IS SPEAKING OF THE CALLED ONES NOW:
18 And he is the head of the body, the Called ones: 🔥who is the beginning🔥,
👉🏾the firstborn of the dead;👈🏿 that in all things he might have the preeminence.
[Being the first raised from death to life who is the head of the called ones.
"First Born of the dead and First born of all creatures" seems to always get bunched up to the same understanding with mainstream christians. First born of all creations: His former glory as The bright and Morningstar before He was made a lowly man to take on suffering and death. [1 Hebrews 2:9]✅️ which His ressurection makes Him the first born from the dead, into Everlasting life.
Revelation 3:14
“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, THE FAITHFUL AND TRUE WITNESS,
👉🏽the beginning of the creation👈🏿
OF GOD;” (First born creation of all creation in the beginning)
Revelation 1:5
“And from Jesus Christ,
WHO IS THE FAITHFUL WITNESS,

( First ressurected from death into Everlasting life.)
He is THE FIRST BEGOTTEN SON BORN FROM YAH AS A a MAN, THAT IS THE FIRST BORN FROM THE DEAD THAT WILL BE RAISED INTO EVERLASTING LIFE.
He is THE FIRST CREATED BEING IN THE BEGINNING AS THE DAY SPRING BRIGHT MORNINGSTAR.

What many Christians do is cherry pick, using individual verses like John 1:1 and try to paint the whole entirety of the picture with a single verse alone to prove a subject matter, and then go grab 5 more like it as individual lessons out of context, while they do not use the proper operations of discernment "here a little there a little, line must be upon line" pertaining to the same subject that reveals in depth context of the whole picture.

I just finished studying Daniel's prophecy, I fell in love with the book after y'all started in on it a couple months ago and couldn't stop reading it...and the prophecy was TOUGH and rewarding, it brought so much peace...I have felt compelled to start Revelation and have been intimidated so this is an answer to a prayer!! Good for you for pressing in despite everything!!! I think the devil wants to keep people away from this book for some reason. People are intimidated by it and the unusual imagery and frightening end time prophecies. But God wrote this every much as all the rest of the Book and God wants us to know it and b comforted. I also think in our times, we understand better what the images represent. So much more has happened in history. It's possible that God meant it most for an end-time audience. Daniel didn't understand what he was told to write. No doubt John did either...but God is giving us better revelation and we are beginning to see the connections with other books of the Bible.

I also love Revelation because it puts fear in me, so that I walk in God's Word. It helps me to remember that I should FEAR GOD because this is what the Lord God Almighty Jehovah Father wants us to feel, so that we stay away from continuing to do evil against God's commandments. Preachers did not tell us/ people to REPENT and FEAR GOD, so that we all walk in FEAR of GOD.
This way we stay away from doing evil towards our creator the Lord God Almighty Jehovah Father, his son the Lord Jesus and the Lord Holy Spirit and towards other people.

I LOVE your sermons. I would be GREATLY appreciative if you would do a sermon on The Sabbath Day. God told us it was Saturday and God never, and if you understand that God exists throughout time all at the same time, God CANNOT change. Man changed the Sabbath to Sunday (I cant find any place in the Bible. Not other than we should not fight over the day and we should worship our Lord EVERY day but Sabbath is a special day. I AM NOT 7 day Adventist, I am a Reformed Baptist and try to follow the Bible.

The Lord never leaves any thing hanging. The two books of Ezra and Nehemiah were the only ones not concluded, as the 70th week year will continue from where they stopped and the book was shut in Daniel 12:4. God always performs and perfects His purposes and promises. He is Faithful and True, He has exalted His word above all His name, so none of His word will go back to Him void! He is God All by Himself, as some would say! All glory and praises to His Holy name! Amen!
Galatians 4:29-30! It's always been like this right from the beginning, right from the garden, then Genesis chapters 6,14:17-24; 21:9-10- Jacob and Esau; Pharez and Zerah; Pharaoh/Moses; David/Absalom; Jezebel, Athaliah, Haman, Herod, Hitler, Antichrist/false prophet.

He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.
I don't understand the view of everything has already happened. (Preterist?) Jesus certainly hasn't returned! Look at the mess this world is in. I'm lost on that one. It does seem it's a partial fulfillment from 70 AD. But not the good stuff of Jesus coming back. I am really confused about that.
I do love Revelation. I love reading in one sitting, as he mentioned! And I love that he mentioned the "big picture". That's how I've always read. I can't tell you all the details of what things mean. I wouldn't presume to. But I know that Christ wins! And one day this wicked world WILL be done and those who hate Christ WILL one day bow to Him. How I long for it!
God's plan is Sovereign and will be fulfilled he declares in ISAIAH 46:8 "Remember this, fix it in mind, take it to heart, you rebels.46:9 Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.46:10 **I make known the end from the beginning, *from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.
46:11 From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do.🙌🙏
It is sad to see how much humanity has drifted further and further away from Christ, and learning of Christ. The longer we continue, the more sin seems to grow. If more "Christians" would read from the scripture and understand it within themselves, we would have many more followers of Christ than we do today. The heretical base is ever-growing, even within the so-called Church of Christ.
I would encourage all humans, to stop blindly trusting in the word of Preacher A, or Preacher B, to take time out of your life to study the Word (KJV/NKJV Bible) yourself. However, the power of a Preacher is to expose the existence of such a topic to those unaware; they are not useless, in fact, they are one of the most useful pieces of spreading the Word.
If you have not done so, you cannot say to yourself that you do or do not believe and follow Jesus Christ. Do not lie to yourself. But, for those unknowing, and knowing, rejoice, as it is not one sin that condemns you, it is your true internal belief on the day of your judgement -- for us, it's about your wholly believing in Christ as God, honestly repenting to him for our betrayals of His character, and taking His examples through your own action each day. So, do not feel condemned! Educate yourselves, so that you may ultimately and honestly choose.
For those afraid of the condemnation of the innocent: Ephesians 4:17-24 says that those Gentiles who have not learned of Christ, shall not receive the judgement upon the sin of not embracing Christ. Only those who have learned of and willingly rejected Christ shall be separated from Christ for eternity, upon the day of judgement.
The book of Revelation is for past, present and the future. Revelation 7.
This war in heaven happened when Lucifer decided he no longer wanted to remain in the world that was created and given to him to lord over.
He used to be the cherub that covers, which means he was the closest to the presence of God. He basked in the worship of all angels and beings in heaven, when they sing to and worship God, and now he was placed far away from all these. His heart was lifted above God, and thought that he could remove God from mount Zion, and take over the control of the heathens and earth. (I believe that God in Christ Jesus, has a look similar to a baby, a helpless creature, and thought he could do better, being the best of all God's creation. That is why I believe that the kings of the East, as wise as they were, were willing to bow down to Jesus Christ, even as a baby, because He is the Promised Seed, by whom they were going to access their inheritance in Father Abraham Genesis 25:6).
He deceived a third of the angels to ally with him to get God down from Mount Zion, and must have promised them something to get them to comply.
Thus, God raised up Michael, whom I believe was the smallest of the creatures, and gave Him the name "Who is like unto God"? ( Imagine how satan felt each time he had to call Him that! It made him so small, having to deal with a lesser angel with a mighty name that reminded him of who he could never be!)
Revelation 12: 7 the war began and satan and his angels were defeated and cast down as lightning, to the earth Luke 4:18-19, while Jesus looked on!
The earth was broken up by their fall, and became void, and waters covered it, while the Holy Spirit, the third member of the Godhead, hovers over it, waiting for God to make a decision on how to best avenge Himself!
He decided to make a man out of the dust of the earth, qnd fill him with all of Himself, so He created Adam, who possessed everything satan ever wanted and could never have, and all this is a body of clay? So, he was determined to get him to rebel against God, so this glorious body would be destroyed. But he was blindsided, because God repackaged this fallen man, and began a plan of salvation for him instead. So man was finally ransomed from this flesh that satan has been buffeting right from the beginning of time, until the cross; redeemed and restored him to glory, and eventually reconcil him back to God!
That was why Satan struggled to get king David off of his throne, through Absalom. He managed to sit in it very briefly, as he was advised by a common enemy of David, Ahitophel, but David's ally, Hushai, got him go out in Battle, against him, where even the oak tree fought for David and caught his hair, his mule walked away from under him, thus, leaving him hanging between heaven and earth (so, satan avenged him by crucifying Jesus Christ on the cross). He was buried in the sides of the pit, instead of reigning on the sides of the north. 2 Samuel 18:17; Isaiah 14:15, 1-32; Ezekiel 28: 1-19; Ezekiel 32:23; Psalm 48:2
He tried to get this present day mount Zion.
This is the reason why there has to be a new heaven and a new earth, and also, a new Jerusalem, since the present one was, is being, and continues to be defiled.
Finally, the glorified man in the body of Jesus Christ, will have the grace to sit with Christ in God, in the heavenly places, far above all principalities, and powers and might, and dominion, and sovereignty, and every name that is name, not just in this world, but also, in the world to come! Hallelujah!

1) the book of Daniel wasn't concluded. (Just like the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, because Israel's sins hadn't been atoned for, at the time, hence, satan was able to contend with Joshua's priestly ceremony Zechariah 3, and Zerubbabel's building of the temple chapter 4. This continued on in Zechariah, and culminated in Revelation 11:3-13).
2) the book began from the end of God's dealing with Israel as a nation and as a people, they were no longer referred to as "my people", but " thy people " Hosea 1:9; Amos 7:8; Jeremiah 12:7-8; Daniel 9:24;
The book of Daniel continued from the beginning of the captivity, and also showed the sequence of future gentile rules and rulers, then the intermission- the beginning of the dispensation of grace, the birth of the Messiah, then the Church -which consists of both Jews and gentiles, who would be given power of adoption of sons, lost to Israel, John 1:1-13, by grace through faith in the sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and receiving Him as their Lord and Savior, then they, as completion of His body, a're taken out. Then the imminent 2nd coming of the complete new Creation, made up of Jesus Christ the Head, and both Jew and Gentile believers, as members of His body, made into His likeness, when they have fully grown up to His Fulness and Stature, baptized into Him by the Holy Spirit. Zechariah 14, when He will rescue the remnants of Israel Matthew 24:31, who will escape the pouring out of the cup of wrath of God, over all the earth.
The gentile rule and rulers will be concluded as they give way to the restoration of Israel- as a nation and people of God, Romans 11, this time, not baptized in the sea as unto Moses, or Jordan, as unto John the Baptist, but as God had promised to unilaterally forgive their sins, open up a cleansing fountain for sin, Zechariah 13:1; Jeremiah 31:31-34, put His laws into their hearts, so they will all know and honor Him as their God.
Daniel couldn't understand all this- especially the cutting off of the Messiah etc., so he got to go rest until the end, when he will be given full understanding of all this Revelation.
He was also found by the side of the river Hiddekel. He saw a certain "man clothed in linen" Daniel 10:4-6, just like He was described in Revelation 1:5,13.
He was instructed to shut the book 12:4-13.
Then, promised Savior came as prophesied, who alone was worthy to take the book that was shut, Isaiah 29:11-12; Revelation 5:1-8. He opened the book, and then shut it midway. Luke 4: 17-20; Isaiah 61:2a. (The book will be shut after the dispensation of grace, to usher in the "day of vengeance of our God " Isaiah 61:2b, and no one will be saved by grace at this time, but will still have the opportunity to hear the everlasting gospel by the 144,000, the 2 witnesses and the angels, so no one can have any excuses on that day!).
Thus, the imagery of the stories in both books are the same, essentially:
1) the first was given without much understanding and interpretation
2) the other was given when all the prophesies of the first one have all been revealed, disclosed or made manifest, so it was easier to put a name to the man clothed in linen in the book of Daniel, as Jesus Christ, and clearly describe the vision with great understanding- now, with the help of the Holy Spirit, for the reader John 14:26.
Also, the book of Daniel was for Israel, while the book of Revelation was for both the church and the remnants of restored Israel, when God returns to deal with them again as His people. Hosea 2:1; Ezekiel 36; Ezekiel 37.
Then, the last curse is dealt with as Genesis 5, parallel to Isaiah 65, continues into the millennium when Son of man will now live to 1000 years, or God's full day! ( Methuselah lived 969 years, Jesus as man lived for 30 years, until He was breathed upon Adam- Genesis 2:7, Abram- Genesis 17:5, 15, AbraHam, SaraHi; last Adam- Jesus Christ Matthew 3:16; the desciples John 20:22; believers, as we ask daily! Romans 8:9, 14; Luke 11:13), and then, the judgement, Isaiah 66:24, as all Israel is returned to their promised land, Isaiah 36; Isaiah 37, and other nations must perform a yearly pilgrimage Isaiah 66; Jeremiah 50; Revelation 20:10, 14:11, 19:20; Zechariah 8:20.
Although the book of Revelation 1 indicated John as the writer, the scripture always interprets itself, and so far, I'm still looking for a reference to show where John had a part in this end time Revelation, anywhere in the Bible, from Genesis to Jude, excepting in the meaning of their names: they were both referred to as a) who Jesus loves, and b) greatly beloved of God " John 13:23; Daniel 9:23;
Revelation 1:1 may have referred to the individual as He was referred by, and not necessarily by the specific name of John.
Daniel 8:17, Daniel was told the vision was for the time of the end, and in Revelation 1:3, it was said that the time was at hand.
Revelation 1:9-10, could well be that God actually sent the Apostle John as a witness to all these events, for the scripture to be fulfilled that a matter is established out of the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses, as Jesus Christ indicated in John 21:22, that he was going to remain, possibly, for this reason as a witness to the revealed prophesies of the book of Daniel, who knew Jesus Christ by name, and witnessed him physically in this world John 1:14; 1 John 1:1-4; Revelation 1:1-2, even though wasn't expressly named in the book of Daniel, because His name was so revered at that era, (He was the Almighty God, Jehovah), until God Himself confirmed the name of the Messiah and endorsed it to be Emmanuel, His Son, Matthew 3:17; 17:2-5; Psalm 2:7- God with us ( He was going to live in their midst had they received His as the Son of David, the promised King of the Jews), Matthew 1:21; Isaiah 9: 6-7; but He became Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world John 12:32; Isaiah 62:2, that whosoever believes in Him and in His name, shall be saved! John 3:16-21; 1 John 5:11-12
Therefore, it could be where God had made Daniel to rest as indicated in Daniel 12:13, and Revelation 4:1 when he, I believe, was called to receive the unveiling or Revelation of the end time vision which he couldn't understand at the beginning, in the book of Daniel, because the next event in chapter 5, was to see the book that was shut, in the hand of God, in the process of being given to the worthy Lamb, to be re-opened, and it's content REVEALED, because He had sprinkled it with His sacrificial blood, which was acceptable to God Isaiah 53:10-11; Hebrews 9:11-22, it is now called the book of Revelation- of hitherto Hidden visions. The Lamb of God then proceeded to open the seals, one by one, to reveal and unleash each and every written word, and it's immediate fulfillment, culminating in the end of the system of this world, and bringing about the creation of new heavens and earth, and the descent of the New Jerusalem (the old has been defiled, and was replaced), so God can be the EMMANUEL He has always been, living in the midst of His redeemed, restored, regenerated and reconciled Creation, Colosians 1:19-20, so when He looks, He will see everything that He has made is GOOD, as it was in the beginning, and as it will be for all eternity, having disposed of those who destroyed it in the beginning, who now have become a spectacle to behold as the people go to Jerusalem to worship the king, bringing their gifts! Isaiah 66:20-24; Isaiah 49:17, 19!
.God will now reward past faithfulness by honoring Zadoc the priest and his descendants-the Kohathites, (whose lot was to bear the ark of the covenant), from Obed-Edom, to Joshua the Son of Josedech. Ezekiel 44:15; 1 Chronicles 6:53; 2 Samuel 15:24; Numbers 25:7-13.

. Ransomed Believers are now sitting with Christ in God, on the throne at His right hand, others rewarded to govern the nations of the world.
. David will be honored and rewarded, and will be the chosen King of Israel, as He has been.
Psalm 16:10-11; Jeremiah 30:9; Ezekiel 34:23-24; 37:24; Jeremiah 23:5 (Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, kept the sheep until he is restored John 10).
.Finally the Sabbath is Kept.
(God had to get up from His Sabbath rest, after CREATION, working in and through Jesus Christ John 5:17, until He finished the work of SALVATION John 19:30; went back to the Father to send the Holy Spirit to prepare a people for REDEMPTION, and REGENERATION, so they could be like Him and as He is, to be ready for RECONCILIATION with the Father, and thus the whole creation will be restored as it was and as it should be: Good Genesis 1:31a.
. Then He rested for all eternity Genesis 2:1-3!
None of His word will ever go back to Him void!

Revelation chapters 1-3, seem to be by and through John, written to the church of God in Christ Jesus, which is separate from God's dealing with Israel, and chapter 4 is the rapture of the church, washed in the blood of the Lamb, justified, and imputed thr righteosness of God in Christ Jesus; and also the raising up of Daniel, from his rest, Daniel 12:13; the beginning of the 70th week year, which sees Israel back in the promised land, forgiven, cleansed from their sins, Ezekiel 37, untill the end, which seem to be the continuation of Daniel 12, where God returned to deal with Israel, again, until the conclusion of the world system Revelation chapters 19-22.

Tribulation
Are we living in the tribulation / millennium / messianic kingdom now? Are they all the same time period?
Christ said in this world we will have tribulation. I believe the tribulation and the wrath are separate events. Tribulation is from Satan and the wrath is from God.
Christ also said there are many antichrists and many false prophets. Also many “false gods” / idols. I believe they are present in every generation and every generation goes through the/a tribulation.
Where is the holy place that the antichrist is supposed to desecrate?
It’s in the temple, right? Well, where is the temple now, post-70 AD? Is it not in our hearts?
If Satan sets himself up as God in our hearts, he becomes our God. We take on HIS Mark. That desecrates God’s temple. Whoever or whatever rules our lives, if not God, is mystery Babylon. An anti-Christ. And we were told to come out of her.
I think the whole story of the Bible, including the messianic kingdom, the millennium, Armageddon, New Jerusalem - they’re all an allegory of how God chose his elect, redeems us through HIS actions (not ours), and how HE defeats the enemy (Satan and death), how HE IS THE ONE TRUE ETERNAL GOD, and HE DESERVES ALL THE GLORY.
The tribulation is just our life journey.
Then comes the harvest/ aka the resurrection of the elect, and the wrath / aka the destruction of all evil, and eternity.
The gospel. The story of salvation.
Should we rely on external evidence (Church fathers, Commentaries, Creeds, Liturgies, futurist's etc...) or internal evidence (scripture) to best determine the dating of the writing, and the timing of prophetic the fulfillment of Revelation?
Let’s examine these scriptures:
Revelation 16:6 for they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
The blood of saints and prophets is righteous blood; remember that phrase.
Revelation 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
The blood of saints and of the martyrs of Jesus is again, righteous blood.
Revelation 18:24 and in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
There’s that blood of the prophets and saints again, and it is righteous blood.
Revelation 19:2 for true and righteous are his judgments: for he has judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
This verse has an interesting phrase in it “the blood of his servants” and can also be found in another area of scripture that speaks of the end times/last or latter days.
Deuteronomy 32:43 Rejoice, O you nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.
This chapter of Deuteronomy is Moses reminding Israel what would be “their end” (verse 20) and specifically “their latter end” (verse 29) and also mentions that it is referring to a “perverse and crooked generation” (verse 5) which sounds a lot like Christ “O faithless and perverse generation” in Matthew 17:17 and nearly identical “crooked and perverse nation” in Philippians 2:15; and how does Moses begin this epitaph to Israel in this chapter?
Deuteronomy 32:1 Give ear, O you heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
Moses is clearly speaking to Israel about “their end” and “their latter end” and refers to them as “Heaven and earth” and since Moses refers to Israel as “Heaven and earth” wouldn’t that necessitate Moses is speaking about “THE END” of “Heaven and earth”?
Whom did Christ say all this “righteous blood” would come upon?
Matthew 23:35 that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom you killed between the temple and the altar.
And when did he say this would happen? In the very next verse!
Matthew 23:36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
Deuteronomy 32:43 says “he will avenge the blood of his servants” (Prophecy given) and Revelation 19:2 says he “has avenged the blood of his servants” (Prophecy fulfilled)
Christ said this “righteous blood” would come upon 1st century Israel (Matthew 23:36) and this timing of judgment is repeated again in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24:34)
This was the (biblically prophesied) wrath of God, coming on those that not only were guilty of all the righteous blood shed from Abel to Zechariah, but specifically for killing (Jesus) the heir (Matthew 21:39)
Christ said this avenging for “righteous blood” would come upon THEM in THEIR/THAT Generation; and nothing in any scripture speaks of this judgment coming upon a FUTURE generation, let alone one some 2,000 +/- years removed!
This again falsify's your claims that Revelation was not fulfilled in the 1st century!
Why don't you just believe Jesus who said all things written would be fulfilled at the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70 Luke 21:20-22?
And why don't you believe Peter who said that “HIS DAY- “THOSE DAYS 2000 years were the day's in which every single prophet who ever spoke spake of Acts 3:24?
The Book of Revelation has been my favorite book in the Bible for decades. Although there are some passages in Revelation that I don’t fully understand, the balance provides great insight into heaven, the coming tribulation, the complete and utter triumph of the King of Kings, etc. I do not know another book in the entire Holy Bible that makes me want to praise God more than Revelation. I definitely recommend reading the Book of Daniel first. Consider Daniel to be a prerequisite.
The problem with your view of Preterits (Partial), is that although it was fulfilled in AD 70 (the official end of the old covenant), IT DOES NOT MEAN that the book does not apply to us today because its principles have been with us for the last 20 centuries. Even today, the beast is moving the USA to dangerous grounds of identity crisis that only a church that is well versed in the principles of Revelation can see what's taking place.
Please DO NOT dismiss Partial Preterism because it is applicable to all ages. By the way, the end of the age was the age of the LAW, not the end of time.

The Elect are still mentioned after chapter 4....so is there one Church or two? The rapture teaching is very new to the church....wasn't taught for most of Christian history. Dispensational, Pre Tribulation theology was brought in the late 1800's.
Where are millions of believers caught up in Rev.4?. This picture is of John in a "vision" ascending into the throne room of heaven. He didn't physically go anywhere!!!! So where is this so called rapture. It's not here in Rev.4. As a matter of fact this rapture isn't anywhere in the N.T. It's not 1Thess.4, 1Cor.15, Matt.24:31 or all the places the futurists point to. Millions of believers disappear at the blink of an eye. Doesn't exist, ANYWHERE!!!!!
